First Round Almost Over

I must say, I'm very happy with the participation as a lot of you guys have come prepared in this thing. The Santino Fan Club actually came pretty damn strong.

The international guys did about as well as I could have hoped for, nationalism only working to eliminate Fujinami and Blue Demon. Big props have to go to Tasty and JMT for helping to push the out of towners.

Old school guys did less well, but Thesz is still leading the charge, and heading for an epic confrontation with the Stinger.

Fujinami is the only one I could call a real upset. I really thought he'd beat Arn.

Blue Demon not so much, he lost to Dusty Rhodes, it's not like he lost to Cody.

A lot of these were upsets based purely on the ranking. Studd beating Sabu was a 40-25 upset, but only because Sabu wasn't in ECW. There was a few like that.
