Female WWE fans

Well, I started watching wrestling when I was little. I remember being fascinated by the larger than life characters. I was hooked. As I got older, I really go into the storylines and the amazing talent I saw in the ring. I love every aspect of WWE. Yeah, some of the guys are hot and nice to look at. But, I quickly loose interest if they don't have any charisma, can't cut a good promo, and can't pull off wrestling moves. I also still respect and like talented wrestlers that I may not find attractive.

I have no interest in the current diva division. I used to enjoy female wrestling during the Attitude era, when the WWE had actual wrestlers like Lita. But, now when the diva matches come on I usually change the channel or take a bathroom break!

Oh and there are women that don't like Cena. He seems like a nice guy outside of wrestling. But, he's so boring when he wrestles and does promos that I feel like falling asleep everytime he's on tv.

I'm a woman who's been watching wrestling ever since I can remember. I watch because the product has generally entertained me in the past and continues to do so.

I've always been into the larger-than-life characters and storylines. It wasn't until I got into my high school/college years that I began thinking seriously about wrestling and appreciating the actual in-ring work. Now I love the in-ring action, and appreciate matches when they're telling a story or adding to a pre-existing storyline, even if it's just "I need to beat you to be seen as a real competitor."

While I do think that some of the guys are hot, that's far from #1 on my "Reasons to like a Wrestler" list. I like characters with some depth to them or that have a bit of quirkiness about them. They have to be able to convey their message either on the microphone or in a match. I also like the guys who know how to sell well and have intense matches.

The current Divas division is boring. The ladies all look good, but the matches are too sloppy and thrown-together for me to get into. The Divas' storylines are like their characters: flat bordering on non-existant. I miss having real wrestlers with actual character depth like Lita, Molly, Ivory, Victoria, Trish, etc. Trish/Lita and Trish/Mickie were done so well and I miss feuds like these!

But that's just me.

I had two female roommates who I got into WWE, but both liked it for different reasons. One liked it because she could pick her favorite hot guys and feel sorry for them when they got hurt. She generally liked the smaller high-flyers.
The other one liked it because it's over-the-top ridiculous sometimes and thus, easy to joke about and make fun of. She liked whatever she thought was funny (she got a real kick over HBK's selling and the HHH chasing people around with a sledgehammer) and gave the important wrestlers silly, but fitting, nicknames (HHH was "Camel Boy").

Okay I'm not a woman, at least I don't think I am but a girl I know is a wrestling fan and this is the feeling that I get from her. She likes wrestling mainly due to the men's looks (especially John Morrison). She isn't a big fan of technical or mat wrestlers because she finds it boring but she likes high flyers and "spot monkeys" because she is entertained by dangerous and exciting moves. She doesn't appreciate divas because she doesn't like that they wear little clothing because she thinks they're just there for men to look at. I'm not saying that's what all woman think, I'm not even saying that's what most or some woman think. That's just what I think my friend's look at wrestling is.
