Anyone else here feeling a bit blue and down? I am a bit I dedicate Radiohead- to everyone who is feeling the preverbial wolf blowing down their house.

They aren't miracle workers, but they sure as hell help a lot, especially if you're stressed and don't have the time or the money to go to counseling.

In fairness its all a bit silly- I really shouldn't be feeling as bad as I do. I have just spent the last two hours watching my work collegue who broke my heart last year get off with another work friend while my friend spent the evening with another work friend. I was the preverbial fifth wheel in all sences.

Never tried anti-depressants before. Don't sound too effective though. Might just wallow in my own Radiohead gloom

Meh, I've gone weeks without taking my pills and I felt the same. Then again I've been medicated since I was thirteen so I'm not sure I'd remember what I felt like before them.

Antidepressants take weeks to start working, so, they could not have been the cause. Sorry to hear about your friend, though.

they do take weeks to go into the system usually about 4 to 6. Everyone I've had hasn't worked.

Its interesting to hear about anti-depresants though. In fairness I have never even thought about taking them. I don't know if they are quite as available over here.

It's definitely, definitely contextual. The fact you referred to the period as "the darkest times of your life" imply that you did not have clinical depression in the sad for no reason sense, in which case your experiences will be wildly different to those with long term causeless depression. Correct me if I'm wrong, obviously.
