Favourite Championship belt design - (not just World titles)..

What's your favourite Championship design? and I don't mean just World Titles but all titles that have been used past and present..

My personal favourite has to be the WWE Championship used in the attitude era..that belt looked awesome and for me personally it had a big feeling of prestige attached to it.

- In second place would be the World Heavyweight Championship - The classic "Big gold belt"..I have a replica of it and I love it.

- I also like the look of the old U.S Title used in WCW and the old WWE European Championship.

Anyone care to add to this thread?

my favorite championship design is the united states spining title that john cena created a couple kof years ago.

and the last one i like is the wwe spinging title also created by john cena.

European Title - it just look damn fine. Currently saving up for a replica of it, greats have held it;

Owen Hart
Al Snow
Matt Hardy
Jeff Hardy
British Bulldog

I'm guessing you started watching wrestling regularly sometime around the Attitude Era or maybe slightly before.

Those are the only fans I have ever seen who like the Attitude Belt. Why? Because it was crap.

I like the current TNA belt, but that's not what we're discussing. The Big Gold Belt looked like it was made for a champion, but not really my favorite.

My favorite is the Hulk Hogan Winged Eagle belt. Maybe just because it was when I first started watching wrestling, but that belt was very definitive and was always treated as so important to the face champions. I mean, when Mr. Perfect destroyed it, Hulk Hogan was crying because it was like part of him had been destroyed. Bret Hart would come out, with it over his shoulder or around his waist, but he would ALWAYS kiss it before the match started, once again driving home how important the belt was.

That was my favorite belt and thus, my favorite design.

As a matter of fact my friend I've been watching wrestling since 1989!! Don't assume you know how long I've been watching because of my opinion on a belt! The Attitude era championship was not crap at all, it looked badass!! I never liked the Hogan era belt..it was so small by comparison to todays belts and the attitude era belt was like an upgrade to it. McMahon must have disliked the Hogan era belt as he started using a trashed version of it for the shitty Hardcore Title!

Who said anything about assuming? I said "guess". Go back. I promise you.

No it didn't. It looked ugly. It looked like something a 4th grader designed.

So, bigger belt means better. Great, I didn't realize that.

and the attitude era belt was like an upgrade to it.
So, then, is the current WWE title an upgrade from the Attitude Era belt?

Must be better. Actually, it is.

McMahon must have disliked the Hogan era belt as he started using a trashed version of it for the shitty Hardcore Title!
Or, it was the symbolism of "attitude", showing how the WWF had left behind the old era and was jumping towards the new.

Either one. Actually, now that I think about it, my explanation makes a lot more sense.

Easily the WCW/WHC belt. The image of Ric Flair coming out and opening the robe with this huge gold belt on around his waist just stands out. To me that is what a belt looks like!

For me, my favorite belt design will always be the WWE Championship Brock Lesnar fought Kurt Angle countless times for. That belt just oozed cool. Second, I would have to say the World Title (big gold belt). I never cared for the Spinner Design WWE title Cena brought in. Actually, if u watch his first promo as WWE Champion, I think most if not all people will agree Cena looked better with the older design and just looks stupid with the pretty spinner one (added to the fact that shortly after winnig the title I became one of the anti-Cena nation. That's jus me.

I was always a fan of the WCW United States Championship look (Its second incarnation, not the original NWA United States Heavyweight Championship or the WWE United States Championship). The current one looks really ugly, like a childs toy.

Obviously, the big gold belt is another one, probably my favourite. The TNA World Heavyweight Championship and the newest NWA British Commonweath Heavyweight Title look great as well.

I cant believe no one has said the old intercontinental title that people like Bret Hart, HBK, The Rock, HHH, Warrior All war that belt looked and oozed cool. Plus that was back when the title meant something.

But i also love the Big Gold Belt

The old intercontinental title is probably my favorite belt design of all time. It was what a title belt was supposed to be. Regal and awe inspiring. Something befitting a champion.

Another I enjoyed was SCSA 'Smoking Skull' belt. It was the first time in WWF history a championship belt had been made specifically for only one person. The detail put into the belt was great, and you just had the overall feeling Austin would tear anybody's throat out to keep it.

And of course, I have to give honorable mention to the Million Dollar Belt. While not a 'championship', it was still a damn fine sight to see.

If by damn fine sight, you mean eyesore, sure. That belt was horrible to look at. I'm not really a fan of title belts, but I absolutely loved the design of the NWA Tag Titles while they were in TNA. they just had such a prestigious look, but had some attitude to them as well. Around the waists of AMW, LAX, Styles/Daniels, they just looked sweet. I'm probably talking crap, I can sense a slycasm-filled reply already.

Who cares?

Why is everyone so uptight these days about someone creating a thread they did forever ago. Seems to be the cliche thing to do lately.

Wasn't aware two months is considered "forever ago" there champ.

Fair call by AJ though. Sly seems to think this is a credit seeking thing, I am merely asking about the rules I am asked to enforce. Doesn't really bother me either way.

Seems as though I can't start a thread that already hasn't been done. I search for similar threads but can't find any so I type away. Just general conversation really don't know what all the fuss is about.

I like the Domed Globe Belt. It emanates class. The TNA title is up there for design. Pretty much any of the belts that come out of NWA midwest. those things are beautiful to look at.

I can't argue with the masses on this one. I love the World Heavyweight Championship. It just looks like a WORLD title on anyone's waist (or when it was in Jericho's arms with the other when he was undisputed champ!!).
It is not flashy, it does not have a whole lot of color ... it is simple and perfect. It says, "I am the World Champion, this big ass mother fucking belt proves it, now who wants to take it?"
I like a few other belts ... love the current Intercontinental Title actually ... but from Flair to Sting to Goldberg to Hogan to The Rock, Batista and Undertaker ... the WHC always gives the guy the look of the top guy in the world.
