Getting Noticed By Management
Pretty simple question......
Wats your favorite couple uve ever seen on wrestling? WWE, WCW, ECW, hey lets throw TNA in the if you want.....

Power couples are usually the best, but we also have sweet couples and..... Strange couples (looking at you Kane and......anyone)......

So.... Favorite wrestling couple of all times...

discuss........

I was going to go with Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth, because that's the iconic pairing, but frankly I think I enjoyed Randy Savage and Sensational Sherri the most. They were both entertaining on their own, of course, but together they were dynamic. The energy they brought to promos, Sherri's interference in Randy's matches, the Macho King/Queen Sherri run... it was all just too much fun to watch. Pick any of their promos together, they're all gems. Even corny bits like the magic cauldron promo they did at SummerSlam '89 was a great thanks to their conviction and intensity. Hard to top the Macho King and Sensational Queen.

For whatever reason, the first couple that popped in my head was Luna Vachon and Bam Bam Bigelow. Oddly enough, even as a kid, I thought "good for you Luna" because you had these other beautiful women like Sunny in the WWF and then there was ol hideous Luna who just happened to pair up with the equally hideous Bam Bam Bigelow.

Eddie and Chyna was probably the funniest couple of all given that Chyna REALLY didn't want anything to do with him at all but he still acted like she was the finest woman in the land giving her flowers and showing off his low riders trying to get her to take a ride with him. "oh come ahn MAMACITA!" Eddie was one of kind character for sure with his mullet and the smirk during his Latino Heat days.

Honorable mention goes to:

Big Vis and Lillian Garcia (even if he did drop her ass for one of Godfather's Hoes)

Ric Flair and his trifecta of sexy ladies Asya, Miss Elizabeth and Woman for whom Flair would always proclaim "Woman...oh Woman...wontcha marry me now?"

King Bookah and Queen Sharmell

Kinda a hard pick. I did like the pairing of Flair and Woman. I got a kick out of her flirtations with Mean Gene. Macho and Sherri made a very good impact as well. But in recent memory, I'd go with Edge and Lita. They were great at drawing heat due to the whole real life love triangle with Matt Hardy. Plus I found Lita hotter after she became a ****ty character and dropping the "goody two shoes" persona. She helped elevate Edge even more being he was already playing the heel role.

I'd say the FIRST couple of the professional wrestling Randy "Macho Man" Savage and Miss Elizabeth R.I.P to both.

To me there was nothing greater than seeing Liz cheer her man on from ringside as he did battle in the squared circle. She was perfect. Petite, of few words and naturally beautiful. She stood out from the other female valets in her day in that she didn't wear flashy clothing, wasn't loud and obnoxious, and didn't get involved physically in the matches.

When she saved her man from Sensational Sherri at WM 7 and he lifted her on his shoulders it was one of THE greatest moments not only in WM history but all of professional wrestling. Although the two split later you can't think of the Macho Man without thinking of the "Lovely" Elizabeth and vice versa, AND that's the epitome of a WRESTLING COUPLE.

My first thought was definitely Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. But then I gave it more thought and the HHH/SMH storyline was epic. I loved the wedding video, the set up with Vince, how they then took over the WWF, and the stupid sketches with Edge and Christian and Kurt Angle - then the love triangle between HHH, Angle and SMH was just brilliant.

Randy and Liz, if you look at them across their arc in WWF it's unmatchable.

It was interesting that they started out with Randy as a viscous and sneaky heel with this angelic and classy valet in Elizabeth who the crowd loved. Of course eventually her and Hogan were used to turn Macho face, then when Randy got too popular she was used as the jealous catalyst to Mega Powers break-up and eventually Hogan vs Savage match at WrestleMania V.

Randy and Elizabeth reuniting at WrestleMania VII was one of the all time classic WrestleMania moments, there were people in the audience with tears streaming down their face.

The 2 big angles that followed with Jake Roberts and Ric Flair were two of the best ever, Jake actually striking Elizabeth and having his snake bite Macho was so shocking at the time and you actually believed Randy wanted to kill Jake. The Macho/Flair is still my favourite 45 minutes of wrestling ever from the pre0-match promos, to the match (Still the best ever WWE title match at Mania IMO) to the intense promos that followed, it was everything that is great about pro wrestling.

WCW even managed to use their relationship in a compelling way with Liz turning heel on Macho using their real life divorce as the angle and costing him the WHC, and then she was part of the feud with DDP and Kimberly, one of the hottest angles of 1997 when the business itself was red hot.

They worked as opposites, they worked as a face couple, they worked as enemies with both playing face and heel, and they worked as a heel couple.
They are the greatest and most memorable couple in the history of the business.

As far as I'm concerned, Macho and Elizabeth are the only wrestling couple that ever mattered. I remember it sparking a feud with George the ANIMAL STEEL. They always worked and worked well together. The other couples are just a flash in the pan, and might have drawn pops or boos, but I never cared about any of them.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. They were just so great at drawing heat together that the crowd would bombard Stephanie with chants of "****" and HHH with chants of "ASSHOLE" every week. I'll have to do some checking on this but I think Steph may have been the first woman in the WWE to have ever been called a "****" by the crowd. I've never heard that yelled at any diva in the WWE before her. Hell, I hated Triple H & Stephanie so much that I wanted to see someone, anyone just take them out on RAW, and you can imagine how much I marked out when The Rock finally gave Stephanie her comeuppance at Wrestlemania 2000 with the Rock Bottom and when he took the title from Triple H the following month at Backlash. They were just so powerful, dominant, ruthless, abusing, annoying - I can't think of a more evil couple in wrestling than those two. Steph really helped elevate Triple H as a top player and a top heel in the company, and Triple H helped elevate Steph as a great on-screen character. They're a great couple on-screen and a great couple off-screen. Randy & Elizabeth are the ultimate couple in wrestling history, but Triple H & Steph are the most powerful, dominant and richest couple in wrestling history.

simple billy and chuck

I agree. Chuck and Billy were, hands down, the most entertaining couple in the history of Smackdown! Also, unlike the other couples on this list, they were skilled enough to hold tag team gold. I suppose with that said, I could also nominate Rick Steiner and Judy Bagwell for "best couple".

Edge and vickie only reason I said this is because it was the first couple to enter my mind and I seem to remember a storyline where vickie was with edge and she was seeing big show on the side it was so funny because when they cut to vickie and big show in her office and edge was in the shower and they kissed it was like vickie had to stretch herself to reach him and it looks ridiculous but funny

Easily and not even a contest it is Miss Elizabeth (First lady of wrestling) and the Macho Man Randy Savage. What can you say about this couple. They were so good that at least myself, felt like i was with them the whole time. The story lines they told, the cocky macho man the heel and the ever so classy lady in miss elizabeth. Seriously since Miss Elizabeth has there ever been a lady that you can even compare her too?

You actually saw two people genuinely fall in love on screen. You saw two great people, care for one another. The ultimate example was WM7. Not a dry eye in the audience and im sure not a dry eye watching it on tv. Still to this day 20 years later,i still get emotional watching it knowing ahead of time whats gonna happen, and it still is like the first time im watching it. Not a couple since or ever will be along the lines of these two legends.. RIP Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth thank you for the memories

There really is no debate here. The best couple was Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth. They are the beginning and end of any discussion involving any couple in professional wrestling, kayfabe or legitimate.

I found Tajiri and Torrie Wilson's on screen relationship story-arc to be particularly entertaining. Tajiri was such an abusive dick to a faithful, beautiful girl for no reason. When Shane "Hurricane" Helms came into the picture, I really enjoyed the ensuing feud between him and Tajiri, as those were two of the most entertaining midcard guys in WWE at the time.

I also was a big fan of Booker T and Sharmell.

I have to go with the majority here. Macho Man and Elizabeth are by far my favorite wrestling couple. They had us invested in them. We actually cared what happened with them. Like Pedigree said, when they got back together at Mania 7 the live crowd has tears flowing down their faces. How many times can we say that has happened? The benchmark of all wrestling couple, and my personal favorite.
