Favorite Moment in the Invasion Storyline

Getting Noticed By Management
It started with Shane Mcmahon announcing he bought WCW right from under Vince to develop his feud with him for WM and it ended with the WWF winning the Winner Take All 5 on 5 Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Match....

Everyone has a take on the point in time in the business cause WWE became the monopoly after absorbing WCW and ECW..... Some agree that it was a great moment some hoped Vince would keep it going on its own....

This thread is about whats YOUR favorite moment in the whole Invasion storyline?
Kurt vs stone cold? RVD on a national audience? No triple h? The battles between the different factions.... Stone cold returning and stunning everyone??

Personally to me it was the ending..... When the Rock pinned Stone Cold and "We" won at the end.... I was 11 and still thought it was real, been a fan since 99 and i thought the product i loved wasin danger of ending... So when Hebners hand finally counted down Stone Cold shoulders for the 3 I exploted with joy! I still remember stephanie and the alliance crying, while the then WWF locker room celebrated and JR said "The Alliance Dies at the Survivor Series!"

So what about you what was your favorite moment in the Alliance Storyline?

my favorite moment was jeff hardy vs rvs in ladder match at summerslam and the rock comes back and say who you to brooker t that was fucking funny and the rock vs y2j feud was the best ever

My absolute favorite had to be Kurt Angle and Milkomania running wild on Team ECW/WWE!!!! The best part of that entire segment was Shawn Stasiak getting his 10 (more like 5) seconds of fame!

Jim Ross: " HERE COMES STASIAK!!!"
*THUD*
Jim Ross: "what an idiot..."

I loved Austin Appreciation Night! The entire episode was good, but the ending of that Raw was one of the most epic endings to Raw ever! The Alliance presenting gifts to Stone Cold followed by the singing of "Wind Beneath My Ring" was great as was Kurt Angle bringing the milk truck down to ringside and hosing down the Alliance. JR's commentary during that segment was great.

(Kanyon gives Stone Cold a "Who Betta than Austin shirt.)
JR: "Hmm...who better than Kanyon? Let me think.")

During the Alliance singing "Wind Beneath My Ring": "JR needs Pepto!"

Then, of course, there's the classic: "The Billion Dollar Princess has become the Dairy Queen!"

As for my favorite moment, it's hard to pick. Kind of like picking your favorite child. Anytime DDP was on TV and started one of his promos, I was glued to the TV. (That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing!) Pretty much anything involving Stone Cold Steve Austin. (His promos, throwing Angle's gold medals into a river, Austin beating up Chavo for being late.) Then there was the rematch from Unforgiven 2001 where William Regal turned on the WWF and helped Austin regain the title. I also quickly became a fan of RVD upon seeing him for the first time and I remember being quite pleased when he hit Austin with the 5 Star Frog Splash. Stasiak was great with his gimmick of hurting himself and/or running into inanimate objects. Rhyno goring Jericho through the Smackdown set was pretty cool. The whole mystery of who would be jumping from the Alliance to the WWF at Survivor Series was interesting. Good year for the WWF, IMO.

My favorite moment in the Invasion was a match, Intercontinental Champion Test vs. United States Champion Edge in a Title Unification Match at Survivor Series. That was the best match of Test's career and one of the Top 3 of Edge's in my book. I could watch that match a hundred times and not get sick of it. They completely stole the show from the Winner Takes All Match in my book.

By far, my favorite part was the first 'real' night, when Stef/Paul joined up with Shane. The stand off in the ring after RVD and Dreamer jump the rail, Kane turns around to get jumped by more ECW guys. fantastic!

I loved when DDP revealed himself as the stalker the crowd went insane and when everyone thought RVD was jumping to WWE when Austin interrogated him was a hilarious segment

It was when ECW reformed in the ring with the beatdown on Kane and Jericho.

I remember me and my friends marking the hell out when we all of a sudden realised it was ECW guys back together. Was ruined an hour later by Stephanie being the new leader of ECW but it was fun while it lasted

Hard to believe that it has been 12 years since that angle, I still remember it so clearly!

I was about 12 at the time, believed that it was completely unscripted and was an enormous fan of The Rock, seeing him come back after being "fired" by the boss, I was certain that he'd join the other side and ditch "us" especially when he dropped that Rock Bottom on Vince... That for me was the moment of the feud... Austin had ditched the WWF and Rocky was back to even the odds...

I understand all the heat that angle gets and how it had potential to be great but as a kid, it was the greatest feud ever haha

The beginning and the end. Shane McMahon walking on Nitro and announcing that he owned WCW Was totally unexpected, it did play well with the storyline tension between father & son in WWE. The end, with Ric Flair returning to Raw and announcing he was the money behind the invasion, that owned all of Stephanie & Shane's stock and that he was co owner alongside Vince of WWE was another vintage moment and a great swerve. Most of the rest was forgettable

when ECW joined WCW in the war, i dont like ECW but that was an epic moment " this invasion just got taken TO THE EXTREME!!" awesome stuff.

My favorite moments in the Invasion storyline are the beginning and the end.

I really loved the idea of WWE and WCW and ECW coming together with the possibility of having great storylines. The dream matches that could have taken place made me go nuts. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Booker T vs. Rhyno could have made up for not having Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair at WrestleMania VIII. Just the thought of having the New World Order vs. D-Generation X vs. the Blue World Order got me hyped up.

I really loved how they ended things at Survivor Series 2001, but I wish it could have last longer with different SuperStars in the specific roles. For example, instead of Austin and Angle joining the Alliance, I would have rather seen Booker T. and Rhyno in those respective major roles.

My number 1 favorite moment in the whole Invasion storyline was when leader of the WCW / ECW Alliance, WWF Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin and leader of the WWF, WCW Champion, The Rock sang Margaritaville. In fact, that could very well be my number 1 favorite moment of all time.

Austin coming down and cleaning house, and then later turning heel and joining the Alliance. I loved Kurt's turn too siding with WWE. I always thought Austin and Kurt Angle were the bright spots of the Invasion.

I loved the Invasion, I have said numerous times on this forum that it is still my favourote period in all my time as a fan. I was 14 at the time it happened, and wasn't really aware of all the backstage politics and didn't think about "why there weren't more stars from WCW involved" etc, I didn't know Nash, Goldberg, Hogan etc had contracts with Turner etc, I just enjoyed it as a fan.

I loved the angle where RVD and Tommy Dreamer interefered in the tag team match, and the WWE locker room empited to help their comrades Kane and Jericho, only for the wrestlers, all former ECW champions such as Rhyno, Raven, Credible, Tazz etc slowly turned around and destroyed Kane and Y2J. Everyone was in shock until Paul Heyman announced the return of ECW with the immortal line...."THIS INVASION JUST GOT TAKEN....TO THE...EXTREEEEEME!"

I still love watching that to this day!

I know there are plenty of ways that the Invasion could have been better, should have been a several year angle, it was missing guys like Goldberg, Flair, Sting etc but at that time, I got to see new exciting wrestlers like RVD, WCW stars like DDP and Booker T coming to the WWE, guys switching sides like Austin and Angle and alot of great matches...so to me it is still a fantastic period in wrestling history.

I loved any moment when the superstars made their "debuts" by randomly interfering in matches. Such as RVD and Tommy Dreamer, Booker T, Hugh Morrus, Lance Storm, Raven, etc. They came out of nowhere, did their finishing move and the crowd went absolutely crazy.

I loved it back when I was watching it when I was younger and the crowd was into it too. I never heard how "bad" it was until people started talking about it on the internet. I love the show for what it is. But I will say Stephanie McMahon annoyed me the entire time.

I can't really pick one cause I loved the entire storyline. Sure it could have been better had the nWo, Goldberg, Sting, Flair etc all been involved, but the Invasion was still filled with a lot of shocking, exciting & funny moments and some awesome matches too, a lot of which have been mentioned in this thread. I just watched every RAW and Smackdown from the Invasion Era on Youtube recently, and those moments that have been mentioned here still give me goosebumps to this day. Like Triple Naitch, I didn't know about all the backstage politics or think about all the missing top stars from WCW coming in at the time either, I just enjoyed it as a fan. And the Invasion is one of my favourite periods in wrestling too.

Yeah, completely agree with this. For about an hour, with "ECW" back, it looked like this could be the biggest angle in wrestling history. But it just HAD to have a McMahon at the center of things.

One moment I liked was when Mike Awesome pinned Rhyno, backstage, at MSG to win the Hardcore title. That was a great debut and a perfect fit for the "Hardcore 24/7" concept.

I also remember marking out when Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo did a run-in and beatdown on someone after a match on Smackdown. That was fun... but then about 50 WWF wrestlers ran-in and beat the living tar out of Palumbo and O'Haire. That quickly killed any momentum the two may have had and kinda' signaled that the whole "Invasion" angle may not be what we, as fans, were expecting.

I could see a few WWF guys maybe fighting them off, then Palumbo/O'Haire escaping through the crowd. To empty almost the entire locker for an over-booked beat-down was excessive.
