Fantasy Roulette Card-Making

Viola Moonlight

I'm Literally Just Here for WZCW
Alright guys... let's have some fun and predict our very own roulette rounds for the Meltdown Madness, Ascension Anarchy and the newly developed Aftershock... er... Anonymous! This is purely a fantasy excercise and all results do not reflect the actual cards come the roulette shows and can be done by everyone for your pleasure: just to see what matches we'd get.

However, there are instructions:

1. Create four lists:

A) The entire WZCW Roster. Just copy and paste what's in the spoilers:

Action Saxton
Alex Bowen
Alexander Stark
Alexander Steele
Austin Reynolds
Barbosa
Black Dragon
Blade
Brad Bomb
Chris Beckford
Chris K.O.
Constantine
Darren Bull
Dr. Alhazred
Everest
Gordito
Hiraku Susumu
Jack O’Lantern
Jack Skinner
James King
Johnny Scumm
Matt Tastic
Mick Overlast
Mr. Baller
Ricky Runn
S.H.I.T.
Saboteur
Sam Smith
Scott Hammond
Sean Cruz
Showtime Cougar
Steven Holmes
Steven Kurtesy
The Internet Warrior
Titus
Ty Burna

B) All three shows. Again, just copy and paste this.

C) Match Types. We need 15 matches (five on each show) to make things even. Since we already have Armando Paradyse vs. Justin Cooper for the Mayhem title booked on Aftershock, we need 14 more matches. Devise a list that allows for 36 competitors to compete in 14 matches (i.e. you're going to need a couple of tag team matches to even it out). Here is a list you can choose from to mix and match:

- 1v1
- 1v1v1
- 1v2
- 2v2
- 1v1v1v1

D) Match Stipulations. Now that you've decided the match types, you can pick what the stipulations to these matches might be. Try not to pick any of the stipulations that have been used in the last couple of PPV cycles or so (i.e. Cage and first blood matches are okay but Ladder and Tables aren't). Again, you'll need 14 all up and here is a rough idea of what you could use:

- Normal
- LL Qualifier
- Number #1 Contendership
- Special (i.e. Cage)

NB: Try to include between 4-6 LL Qualifiers and Normal stipulations matches to balance the shows

2. Let's randomise! I don't care how you randomise all four lists, just as long as it's randomised. Here is a link to a randomiser that I used:

Basically what I did with this site was opened four tabs and inserted the four lists on separate tabs. I hit randomise for all four and I created the cards from there.

3. Create the cards! Go down the lists to slowly create your potential roullete shows and see what could happen.

For Example: The first match that was randomised was a 1v1 match as an LL Qualifier, scheduled for Aftershock. The first two competitors randomised were Ty Burna and Ricky Runn... so, it should come out like this:

Ty Burna vs. Ricky Runn - LL Qualifier

The next two competitors were Everest and Constantine, who were slated for Ascension in a 1v1 without any stipulations... you continue like this until you have finished.

4. Post the results, highlight the interesting matches and discuss! Remember two things:

A) Insert Paradyse vs. Cooper for the Mayhem title on Aftershock after this is done.
B) If a champion is in a position to defend his title (i.e. singles champs in a 1v1, 1v1v1, or 1v1v1v1 match and/or tag champs in a 2v2 match), he must defend it.

Ty Burna vs. Ricky Runn - LL Qualifier
Chris Beckford/Gordito vs. Alexander Stark/Chris K.O.

Discussion:

Aftershock really got a huge star power boost for this show whilst Ascension suffered the most. Not surprising just shocking here... what I find the most intriguing is the fact that Barbosa and Titus are teaming together in a Cage match. This would be an excellent way to kick off the LL cycle with these two potentially feuding over the title. Dragon teams with also a potential challenger in Brad Bomb and things could develop from here.... couldn't have asked for a better result there. The Triple Threat on AS seems a little weird having the Elite X title being defended in an Item on a Pole match... very weird.

The funniest matches on the card have to be the Grocery Store street fight turning into a tag match with unlikely partners and Saboteur facing two of the newest stars in a handicap match to qualify for the LL... should be good. The only match that doesn't feel random is Overlast vs. Scumm: seems like your usual Aftershock match.

You have an unwanted 's' on the end of your link to the randomiser.

Meltdown

Johnny Summ vs Sean Cruz (LL Qualifier)
Alexander Steele vs Ricky Run vs Gordito vs Hiraku Saxton (LL Qualifier)
- Action Saxton vs Saboteur (Submission)
Darren Bull vs Alexander Stark (LL Qualifier)
James King vs Mr Baller

Ascension

Mayhem Championship - Armando Paradyse vs. Justin Cooper
Jack Skinner vs Scott Hammond (LL Qualifier)
Steven Holmes vs The Internet Warrior vs Austin Renoldes (Eurasian No.1 contender)
Chris KO & Chirs Beckford vs Brad Bomb & Alex Bowen (Streat Fight)
Blade vs S.H.I.T

Aftershock

Eurasian Championship - Black Dragon vs Ty Burna (Cage)
Steven Kurtesy & Barbosa vs Constantine (30 Minute Ironman)
Titas & Jack O'Lanten vs Sam Smith & Dr. Alhazred (Tag No.1 Contender)
Showtime Couger vs Mick Overlast
Matt Tastic vs Everist (Elite X No.1 Contender)

Discussion: Like for Falkon, star power gravitated towards the lesser of the three shows.

In terms of high profile matches Meltdown probably came out the worst, the A show being saved from the depths of obscurity by the fantastic drawing of Saxton against Saboteur in a submission match. If this exercise teaches us anything it is that the cards need to be rearranged after they are randomly drawn. Having that match not main event is criminal.

Ascension did considerably better with the stipulations. The tornado tag street fight has the potential to be interesting, and Holmes getting to opportunity to claim contendership for a second title is a nice twist.

However; these two shows pale in comparison to the glory that is Aftershock. Black Dragon vs Ty Burna inside a steal cage is far and away the best match drawn, even if you aren't me. It's also highly entertaining to see just how badly Constantine gets fucked over, being drawn into a thirty minute handicap match. The other matches aren't exactly short of star power or interesting stipulations, but things definitely peak in the first hour.

Meltdown
Steven Holmes vs. Scott Hammond – Parking Lot Brawl
The Internet Warrior vs. Hiraku Susumu – LL Qualifier
Jack Skinner vs. Barbosa – LL Qualifier
Alex Bowen vs. Sean Cruz
Everest vs. Brad Bomb vs. S.H.I.T. – LL Qualifier

Ascension
Titus vs. Saboteur vs. Johnny Scumm – First Blood, World Heavyweight Championship
“Showtime” David Cougar & Blade vs. Sam Smith & Alexander Steele – Title Contendership
Action Saxton & Ricky Runn vs. Austin Reynolds & Steven Kurtesy – LL Qualifier
Darren Bull vs. Mick Overlast – Steel Cage LL Qualifier
Constantine vs. Alexander Stark – 30 Minute Iron Man

Aftershock
Ty Burna vs. Gordito
Black Dragon vs. Dr. Alhazerd vs. Chris K.O. vs. Jack O’Lantern – EurAsian Championship
Matt Tastic vs. Mr. Baller
James King vs. Chris Beckford – Stretcher Match
Armando Pardayse (C) vs. Justin Cooper – Mayhem Championship

Thoughts:
Meltdown got a little short changed with no title matches and one gimmick match. Ascension gets a World Heavyweight Championship match and it's contended under first blood rules. Johnny Scumm being there just shows how random this can be. Sam can be said with tag champions facing each other on opposing teams. Aftershock has not only got two championship matches, but also a stretcher match and two storyline styles matches with Gordito vs. Ty and Matt Tastic against Baller. Pretty interesting stuff all round here.

EDIT: Seems to be a common theme with Aftershock getting the best deal here.

Meltdown
The Internet Warrior vs James King/S.H.I.T. (Handicap Cage Match)
Barbosa vs Black Dragon (EurAsian Championship Match)
Steven Kurtesy vs Hiraku Susumu (Elite X Number #1 Contendership)
Alex Bowen vs Darren Bull (LL Qualifier)
Showtime Cougar vs Constantine (LL Qualifier)

Ascension
Blade vs Mr. Baller (LL Qualifier)
Sam Smith vs Saboteur (Iron Man Match)
Matt Tastic vs Dr. Alhazred (LL Qualifier)
Chris Beckford vs Sean Cruz vs Alexander Steele (Submission Match)
Everest vs Scott Hammond vs Ricky Runn vs Alexander Stark

Aftershock
Action Saxton/Austin Reynolds vs Ty Burna/Gordito (LL Qualifier)
Steven Holmes vs Titus (Champion vs Champion, Title for Title)
Jack Skinner vs Brad Bomb (First Blood Match)
Jack O’Lantern vs Chris K.O. vs Johnny Scumm vs Mick Overlast (Street Fight)
Justin Cooper vs Armando Paradyse (Mayhem Championship Match)

Couple of real standouts here. On Meltdown, Barbosa vs Black Dragon would be very interesting while the main event has the overdue implosion of the Showtime Powertrip. The highlight of Ascension is Sam Smith and Saboteur in an Iron Man match but again Aftershock gets the best. Not only is there the massive tag team LL Qualifier that will make for a decent opener but there highlight is the Unification Match between Holmes and Titus, meaning that there is a good chance that Kurtsey/Susumu will be contesting for a Unified World Title shot.

I love these type of things.

Meltdown Madness (67)
Ty Burna vs. Titus – WZCW World Heavyweight Championship Match in a Parking Lot Brawl
Chris K.O. vs. Blade - Normal
Alexander Steele & Mick Overlast vs. Black Dragon & Austin Reynolds – LL Qualifier
Matt Tastic vs. Jack O’ Lantern – Grocery Store Street Fight
Brad Bomb vs. Dr. Alhazred - Normal

Ascension Anarchy (42)
Alexander Stark vs. Scott Hammond – Cage
Steven Holmes vs. Sean Cruz vs. James King – Elite X Championship Match
Jack Skinner & S.H.I.T. vs. Showtime & Steven Kurtesy – 30 Minute Iron Man
Alex Bowen vs. Sam Smith – LL Qualifier
Everest vs. The Internet Warrior - Normal

Aftershock (3)
Barbosa vs. Gordito – Over the Top Rope Challenge
Saboteur vs. John Constantine & Chris Beckford – LL Qaulifier
Action Saxton vs. Hiraku Susumu vs. Johnny Scumm vs. Darren Bull – Bra & Panties Match
Mr. Baller vs. Ricky Runn – LL Qualifier

Discussion

Well, I got a gem amongst a lot of average bouts. Ty vs. Titus was my fourth match to draw and I was really shocked when I got it. I'm sure that would make the show worthy of an EOTY for 2012.

Everest vs. TIW was highlighted because I find the aspect of the internet nerd versus a legend interesting.

Barbosa vs. Gordito in an Over the Top Rope challenge. I'm a big sucker for over the top rope matches. I would absolutely love to write something like this.

The Bra and Panties match would a funny thing to read. Or possibly just disturbing. I'd like to see a swerve where Action Saxton is wearing boxer briefs.

Made a couple of mistakes in mine before finally getting it right. Here's my fantasy card. I ran under the idea that if you have anything deemed WZCW valuable that can be placed on the line (bar contracts) then it could be placed on the line (although that doesn't apply to defending singles titles in tag matches).

Meltdown Madness - 67
Submission Match – Jack Skinner vs Johnny Scumm
Street Fight – Alexander Stark vs Titus (C) – WZCW World Heavyweight Championship match
Number 1 Contender for a title of winner’s choice – Austin Reynolds vs Ty Burna vs Chris K.O.
Bra and Panties Match – James King vs Black Dragon (C) – EurAsian Title Match
Lethal Lottery Qualifier – Showtime Cougar vs Jack O’Lantern vs Brad Bomb

Ascension Anarchy - 42
Normal Match – Sean Cruz and Hiraku Susumu vs Scott Hammond and Steven Kurtesy
Normal Match – Saboteur vs Constantine
Chairs Match – Barbosa vs Matt Tastic
Normal Match – Everest vs Blade
Lethal Lottery Qualifier – Sam Smith vs Gordito vs Dr. Alhazred vs Action Saxton

Aftershock Anonymous - 3
Last Man Standing Match – Alex Bowen vs Mr. Baller – No.20 spot in Lethal Lottery on the line
Cage Match – Darren Bull vs Ricky Runn
S.H.I.T and Alexander Steele vs Chris Beckford and The Internet Warrior
Lethal Lottery Qualifier – Mick Overlast vs Steven Holmes (C) – Elite X Title Match
Armando Paradyse (C) vs Justin Cooper - Mayhem Title Match

Thoughts:
Meltdown has an absolutely fantastic card. Titus has a match where outside interference could cost him the title which leads me onto Ty having one of his Apostles on his side as he could use the shot to challenge for the WZCW World Heavyweight title although Austin Reynolds could provide an upset or Chris K.O.'s greed could mean he goes for the glory at the expense of his master. Oh and James King and Black Dragon would have a very interesting match for the EurAsian Title.

Aftershock could see two title changes as well as Alex Bowen start life after Mayhem with the best spot in the Lethal Lottery match. Also, Ricky Runn in the cage? Let the human highlight reel begin!

Ascension doesn't have much in the way of gold on the line but some of those matches are mouthwatering. Blade vs Everest could be a wrestling clinic. Barbosa could unleash all his anger on Lethal Lottery No.1 entrant - Matt Tastic and the Fatal Four-Way Lethal Lottery Qualifier main event is full of character.

Meltdown
Black Dragon & Alexander Stark vs. Showtime Cougar - Submission
S.H.I.T. & The Internet Warrior vs. James King & Scott Hammond - LL Qualifier
Alexander Steele vs. Ty Burna - No. 1 Contender for the Elite X Championship
Johnny Scumm vs. Sean Cruz - LL Qualifier
Barbosa vs. Chris K.O. - LL Qualifier

Ascension
Austin Reynolds vs. Steven Kurtesy - LL Qualifier
Mr. Baller vs. Brad Bomb vs. Everest - No. 1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship
Mick Overlast & Hiraku Susumu vs. Gordito & Ricky Runn
Darren Bull & Saboteur vs. Chris Beckford & Alex Bowen
Matt Tastic vs. Constantine - Cage

Aftershock
Justin Cooper vs. Armando Paradyse - Mayhem Championship
Blade vs. Dr. Alhazred
Jack O’Lantern vs. Titus - Strap match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Action Saxton vs. Jack Skinner - 30 Minute Ironman
Steven Holmes vs. Sam Smith - Falls Count Anywhere match for the Elite X Championship

There are flashes of brilliance in both Meltdown and Ascension, but there are also a few not-so-brilliant moments on the card. Take the Ascension tag team matches - they're full of great talents. But what's binding them? Nothing really, besides Susumu and Runn's simmering tag team rivalry.

However, let's accentuate the positives of both shows. The Meltdown opener should be an interesting affair. Dragon, Stark and Cougar are all submission guys - and the fist two names should make for an explosive pairing. The main event on the other hand showcases two of the finest, rising heels in WZCW at the moment. Ascension's highlight has to be the No. 1 Contender match for for the World Heavyweight Championship. A match that's so open it would be downright impossible to call.

However, despite the strengths of the A and B shows, Aftershock is the obvious stand-out here with three championship matches (the highlighted ones being my favourites). Jack O'Lantern vs. Titus for the World Heavyweight Championship is weird enough. But in a strap match? On Aftershock? Surely that would break various records. The main event looks to be an absolute stonker. That's right, stonker. Smith and Holmes have had a heated rivalry for as long as I can remember, with Sam Smith generally coming out on top. But now that Holmes has the Elite X Championship, this match would have a completely different dynamic to previous encounters. It would be an absolute brawl worthy of any PPV.

Just to let you guys know: you can change around match position on the card to have your best matches as the main events and your worst as openers but you can't change which show they are on. Thought I'd clear that up.

Ty Burna vs. Titus and Sam Smith vs. Steven Holmes are the best two randomised matches thus far... with Bra and Panties being the best stipulation due to Gelg's reaction and how much I want to include the stip in the actual roulette.

Black Dragon defends his title again in a weird match but without a tag team partner. Would be interesting

Alhazred, Skinner, King, and Reynolds for the number one contendership for the WHC!? Do I really need to explain? The Forgotten Powers has a chance to win the big one.

Holmes and Constatine are doing good together and Bowen said in the random RP thread that he wants Holmes and then you add Baller and have a great classic match.

Sean Cruz vs Titus for the WHC?! The man I made tap out gets a world title shot :banghead And its on Aftershock????

Discussion- I think my card came out really unique. There some matches on here you might not see at times. Like Johnny Scumm getting a World Title Match. I really find the cage match interesting.

Meltdown Madness
-Ty Burna vs Alexander Stark and Chris Beckford (LL Qualifier)
-Ricky Runn vs Darren Bull vs Steven Holmes (Winner-Elite X Champion, whoever gets pinned- Mayhem #1 Contender)
-Mick Overlast vs Sam Smith (Elite X #1 Contender)
-Scott Hammond and Black Dragon vs Brad Bomb and Jack O' Lantern

Ascension Anarchy
-Barbosa vs Gordito vs Chris K.O. (LL Qualifier)
-Steven Kurtsey vs Dr. Alhazred vs Everest vs The Internet Warrior (WHC #1 Contender)
-Alex Bowen and Titus vs Constantine (Item on a Pole Match)
-Matt Tastic and Austin Reynolds vs James King and Saboteur

-Blade vs Jack Skinner (LL Qualifier)
-Mr. Baller vs Barbosa (Cage Match)
-S.H.I.T. vs Showtime Cougar
-Action Saxton vs Hiraku Susumu (LL Qualifier)

Thoughts- Well, aren't I the odd one out here. Aftershock is, in my opinion, the most lackluster show of the three, while Meltdown seems to be the most must-see. On Ascension, we get a interesting tag team match with two rivals teaming against one half of the tag team champions. Meltdown features a triple threat match that has big implications for the roster.

Meltdown Madness

Overview = Meltdown definitely has the best options here and I think that Ascension comes second with Aftershock in 3rd. I'll give an short look into each of the matches now.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Black Dragon (c) vs Brad Bomb - This will be an interesting match with the stipulation. I imagine Black Dragon retaining here, with Bomb entering the LL at Number 2.

The Internet Warrior vs Mick Overlast vs Ricky Runn vs Chris Beckford - All men will be looking to impress here, with all fighting for the chance to be in the Lethal Lottery.

James King vs Sean Cruz & Saboteur - Strange in the way this will work, with two men trying to get one man on a stretcher and the same in reverse. Saboteur has had a good showing since debuting in WZCW, so it would be difficult to imagine him losing here, even at a disadvantage.

Barbosa vs Sam Smith - Both men here are fighting for the contendership of their respective titles, having both also just recently lost them. Whoever loses will lose out on the Title shot, so I would see Barbosa getting his next shot at the WZCW Heavyweight Title.

Johnny Scumm & Titus (c) vs Action Saxton & Alex Steele - Now THIS is "madness". Scumm & Titus, who have had a match before which had a tricky outcome, facing off against Saxton & Steele. The winner will either win or retain the WZCW Heavyweight Title, and the man on the winning team who DID NOT make the pin will become the No.1 Contender to the Mayhem Title. I see Titus & Scumm overcoming the odds so that Titus can retain his title & Scumm can become the contender.

S.H.I.T vs Alex Bowen - I see Bowen beating S.H.I.T here to become a LL entrant.

Steven Kurtesy & Matt Tastic vs Ty Burna - Ty Burna is known to overcome the odds, having been Champion for a year, only losing it recently. I imagine him winning this one.

Constantine vs Everest vs Mr. Baller - A Cage match here, where all three men would look to prove themselves. I would love to see Mr. Baller take the victory and prove he really is no joke.

Gordito vs Hiraku Susumu - Former half of the Tag Champions, Susumu would love to beat Gordito by drawing his first blood, but I don't think he'll have got over his loss & Gordito would take the win here.

Austin Reynolds & Showtime Cougar vs Jack O'Lantern & Jack Skinner - One half of the Tag Champions, Reynolds and the man who just saved his career, Showtime against the two Jack. Skinner hasn't won in the past two weeks on Aftershock & Lantern has barely touched the WZCW surface. I see Reynolds & Showtime taking the win here with a large gap in the points.

Steven Holmes (c) vs Dr. Alhazred vs Blade - Hammond has just won the Title and Blade hasn't been a champion since losing to the Black Dragon. I would hope Steven Holmes would retain in his first match as the champ.

Alexander Stark vs Chris K.O - Lethal Lottery qualifier here that I see Chris K.O taking the win in as Stark comes off of a PPV loss.

Darren Bull vs Scott Hammond - Possible squash with Hammond winning here.

Armando Paradyse (c) vs Justin Cooper - Finally, the only scheduled match. Justin Cooper will put up every fight he has in this one, but I think we'll see a surprise when there's a title retained by Paradyse.

MELTDOWN
Ricky Runn & Jack O' Lantern v. Gordito & Baller - LL Qualifier
Jack Skinner v. Alex Bowen
Brad Bomb v. Ty Burna & John Constantine (Stretcher Match)
Steven Kurtesy & Action Saxton v. Blade & Alexander Stark - LL Qualifier (Mayhem Rules - Person taking pin earns spot)
James Alzhared v. Titus - WHC (Fans Bring The Weapons)

ASCENSION
Armando Paradyse v. Justin Cooper - Mayhem Title
Chris Beckford v. Internet Warrior
Darren Bull v. Everest - LL Qualifier (Loser Earns #1)
Scott Hammond v. Barbosa - LL Qualifier (Submission Match)
James King v. Mick Overlast - #1 Contender For WHC (4-Corner Strap Match)
Sam Smith v. Hiroki Susumu v. Steven Holmes v. Black Dragon - LL Qualifier (Pin A Champ - Win Their Title)

AFTERSHOCK
Chris K.O. v. S.H.I.T.
Showtime v. Matt Tastic
Johnny Scumm v. Austin Reynolds v. Alexander Steele - #1 Contender For Elite X Title
Sean Cruz v. Saboteur (Tuxedo Match)

Discussion: Meltdown easily wins with starpower. Gordito, Baller, Bowen, Burna, Saxton, Blade, Kurtesy, Titus...It's a stacked card. The title match is a personal favorite, because I'm an old-school ECW guy, and you never know what the fans will bring. The tag match for the qualifier, under mayhem rules, would definitely be exciting. The stretcher match, and the regular 1v1 would probably be short squashes.

Ascension has a solid, and intriguing main event, as well as a good #1 Contender match, but the rest is iffy. The LL qualifiers could go either way, and the singles match could have bigger names. This card really suffers from Meltdown hogging the spotlight.

There's not much to say about Aftershock. Aside from a humorous main event, there isn't any meat to the card. The #1 Contender's match has a tag champ, and a man belonging in the Mayhem division. Could be a good match, but there's nothing else on this show.
