Fantasy Football (For those who crave more)

I understand that you dropped all but 1 of your back-up RBs, however dropping your starting QB in Cutler was odd.

For what it's worth, simply try to re-pick him up if you need him. I'm almost sure someone else in our league has targeted him, because at most even as a back-up he's still better than what's available. He's predicted to have a much better season - yet personally, I wouldn't trust him since he's shown a nasty habit of throwing INTs, and has a less than approving WR core.

On a side note, "I" personally targeted one of the dropped RBs you cut. If everything goes as planned, I'm picking up one of the guys you dropped and dropping Maroney. Purely due to match-up conflictions, as Maroney is a good back-up to have - it's just the only time(s) I'd use him, he has shitty match-ups.

Yeah, I got a feeling that I'm probably going to be kicking myself on that Cutler screw up. I have to get him though b/c after looking at the FA; he's the best option besides Henne imo. I don't trust Maroney anymore after he didn't deliver for me last year when I was in my first league with some of my friends. A waste of a 3rd round pick that was. So will you tell me which RB it is that you target?

Meh, I think their are plenty better QBs than Cuntler, the guy has really doesn't have shit for WR to work with, and he's vastly overrated, not to mention a complete douche (not that that has anything to do with FF),personally I think Henne might be a decent pick up

It truly depends on the match-up. Cutler has very crappy WR's, but he still has a great TE and he's now got a year under his belt with Chicago to improve upon last year's lack of chemistry.

He also plays the Lions twice a year.

And as for FA QBs that I would target quicker than Cutler..

(1.) Henne
(2.) Garrard (depending on the match-up)
(3.) Delhomme (thus far, he's looking amazing in the preseason)
(4.) Campbell
(5.) Hasselbeck (can have on-again/off-again moments)

All in all, each of those individuals I truly (for fantasy points, anyways) like better than Cutler. Besides, the Bears will run more this year I believe. Especially with Taylor backing up Forte.

Not if I get there first:evil3:

In honesty; this wouldn't be like you stealing DeAngelo Williams from me. Bastard. :lmao:

I have Reggie Bush and Maroney - both are fully capable of getting me points against the opponents they'll have. It's just that, currently, I'm in firm belief that one of the newly let-go RBs will have a better match-up on the bye weeks for my main backs that I like better.

Moroney helped me out a bunch last year. Especially once he came on and started getting either close to 100 yd games, or multiple TDs. Considering he was a filler/3rd RB he did me better than most would in that position.

I simply don't like his match-ups for when I'd use him this year, and when we were drafting made the mistake of clicking him instead of the guy you just so happened to pick up.

As for who I'm targeting, I'll let you know once it either does or doesn't go through. Obviously if I were to say anything, then SOME Justin PEOPLE JUSTIN! would try and target him.

In all honesty I was gonna take Shonn Green, then I think Cookie took him with the pick right before mine, so I went with DeAngelo Williams cause A.0 he looked like the next best option at the time, and B.)I thought it'd be funny watching you flip out:lmao:

Cookie did take him, and in truth - there was no better RB available after that; then DeAngelo. Shit, even when I picked Stewart directly after.. the next backs taken were..

Cedric Benson
Jamaal Charles
Pierre Thomas
Ryan Grant (the 4th round)
Matt Forte (5th round)
Knowshon Moreno (5th round)

So, even in believing I jumped early on Stewart - I'm still happier that I got him than any of the others in the list above. Stewart is likely to put up better numbers (and fantasy points) than any of them, with exception to maybe Forte and/or Thomas - depending on how they're used.

The only thing about Williams & Stewart is the fact that both won't have great games. One will have an amazing game, and the other will be so-so. And vise-versa. And sometimes Williams will have over 100 rushing yds, but Stewart will have 2 TDs. It's going to be a trying season between You and I on complaining to the other about the opposite back having the better day. :lmao:

I think I may need a better 3rd RB, I'm starting to second guess my Slaton pick, also think I could have a done a bit of a better job picking WR, I didn't know Vincent Jackson was suspended 3-6 games, I'm hoping that when he finally is able to play again he & who knows what Cribbs will do

I feel like as long as Tom Brady and Adrian Peterson get me the huge points, that I'm satisfied in knowing my WR core (likely always with Welker & Smith, then some flex of Mason/Owens/Floyd) will help carry me over the top.

My only second guessing is with Owen Daniels instead of Shiancoe. Damn nfl.com for scaring me into thinking he wouldn't have as good a season and sending me in the direction of a fucking handicap with Daniels.

Also, my last of the picks on D/ST and Kickers with Kasey (who I plan to replace) and NE Pats (which I hope returns to form, instead of continues to allow points against them since their offense can produce just as many.)

Also - I'm kinda upset I didn't add in that KR/PR's got individual points, instead of going to the D/ST - since the Browns are likely to get the most points through Cribbs, and yet no one would dare start their Defense since overall it'll just take away as many points as Cribbs would produce.

Yeah I'm kinda upset you did that as well, seeing as how I have Cribbs, and drafted him thinking that we would get points for KR/PR, only to learn that's not the case, so yeah thanks for that fucker:suspic:

Well, I finally have the players that I wanted in FA and I now have Cutler back thank god. As long as he doesn't screw me with those multiple picks every game. I can actually win some games in this league. I will say this though. I think Henne will be great replacement if Cutler goes sour. Also, so you picked up Forsett huh Will? What's the reason for that move?

If I were you, I'd play each week with the better match-up as who to go with.

Cutler plays the Lions - start him. He plays the Packers or Vikings - bench him.

Yeah, so basically it falls into a situation like this.

Reggie Bush (wk 6) will face TB, and while he's likely not going to run a lot - he's had success in the passing game against them, so he'll be my flex RB for wk 6. Hopefully I can have him help by getting receptions, and maybe even a TD.

Thus, I needed a proper back to be a flex for wk 4, and Bush plays Carolina - a team he's constantly sucked against, and I should know. However, Forsett plays St. Louis. (last yr, in one game - 22 carries for 130 yds and 2 TDs) MAJOR WIN! :lmao:

Oh, and I dropped Maroney because he would've played.. Miami (wk 4) and Baltimore (wk 6). Neither are good match-ups for a back that'd get maybe 10-15 carries, and likely little through the air.

The alternative was Brandon Jacobs - who does play the Lions, and Bears. However, knowing the Giants they'll pass more than run in those games.

The main reason I picked up Jason Snelling for situational purposes.

I honestly have zero clue why you'd waste a pick/spot on Snelling. You're banking everything on..

(1.) Turner being injured and Norwood not playing for some reason.

(2.) Snelling getting GL carries, which would also baffle me considering Turner is good at that, too.

I believe that Snelling is better than Norwood will be possibly in the second week of the season the second guy to Turner. I do think Turner will get hurt somewhere during the season and Snelling is actually a decent RB kind of like Stewart for the Panthers. For what I've seen from him last season, he's a more fit version of Turner.

LOL, I was seriously looking at picking up Forsett

I was also looking at Henne as a back-up, and thinking of possibly seeing what I could get in the way of a WR for Young, but decided to just keep him and drop Cribbs and pick up Gaffney
