Everest vs. Reaper

The Enforcer

The Heel John Cena!
Everest
vs.
Reaper

This past week Reaper once again came to the aid of Joseph Rios, costing Everest yet another World Title Match. Whilst chuck Myles has allied himself with Dynasty, even he must answer to the Board of Directors, who have demanded this match be made. Whilst not the return match Everest was hoping for, at least some measure of revenge may be attainable on the next edition of MELTDOWN! Can Everest break another chink in the armour of Dynasty? Can Reaper back up his violent messages with a victory over a consistant main event player? Make sure you watch MELTDOWN! to find out.

Deadline is Weds 5/21 by Midnight

Good Luck!!

Our scene opens with an exterior shot of a large plain warehouse style building, simple, bland and normal looking to the human eye. As the camera pans in closer though we see the sign above the door and it reads “Camaro School of Wrestling”.

The scene cuts to the inside of the warehouse, a standard practice wrestling ring is in the center of the structure, several weight benches are set up around the ring, mats are on the floor and punching bags hang from the ceiling. Several other wrestling related training devices can be seen as the camera pans the large warehouse before finally focusing on the ring and slowly zooms in. We see 6 or 7 young guys maybe ranging between 18-24 years of age standing around the ring. In the ring is another young man and he’s on the mat being put through the ringer by a rather large fellow maybe 50ish. After a few seconds of watching the two grapple the older man stops, helps up the younger guy and speaks to the crowd outside the ring.

WAYNE CAMARO: You see guys, in the world of pro wrestling it’s all about the sell. It’s all about the audience. If you can get the audience to react you’ve won the war. Love you or hate you the audience has to feel something! You’ve got to give them some reason to be involved, some reason to care about you.

With that a stir starts amongst the fellows around the ring as Camaro is now standing by the ropes leaning on them with his arms as he talks. From the other side of the ring behind him we see WZCW’s resident superstar, EVEREST, who is motioning to the kids to keep quiet, as he slides silently under the bottom rope, microphone in hand. He hops up and stands by the far ropes as he speaks.

EVEREST: It’s about time I’ve found you, you two bit hack. I’ve seen morgues with more personality than you. How can you tell these kids about charisma and energy when the only energy you ever had comes from a Red Bull can.

With that CAMARO lets a grin slide across his face as he turns around to greet his most famous student. The two exchange handshakes and a brief hug. Camaro whispers something into Everest’s ear as they part, Camaro calmly walks to the ropes, leaving the ring as Everest perches himself against the ropes and address’ the crowd of eager students.

EVEREST: Well well, it seems your loving teacher here tells me that today he was going to put you through the dreaded hammer test.

The crowd of students groan

EVEREST: Not to worry though, your favorite alumni has decided to re-work the schedule. You see today we’re going to talk about interviews. The single greatest ability a wrestler can have is being able to convey his feelings to the audience. Whether you use humor, anger, screaming whatever you have to get your point across when given the opportunity.

With this EVEREST begins to pace the ring, using his hands as he speaks helping to convey his message.

EVEREST: Personally I prefer to take the calm, relaxed approach. Take what happened at the WZCW’s latest pay-per-view, the Lethal Lottery. It was me and Joseph Rios, one more time. It was supposed to be one-on-one, for the title. Rios supposedly told his lackeys he could handle it. You know deep down I knew I would be fighting for my life, that it would take a huge individual effort to overcome the odds. Enter Reaper and his trusted sledgehammer. Wham, to the forehead, out cold, 1-2-3, victory Rios. Title shot --- gone.

Now most people would respond in anger, vengeance on their minds, maybe screaming into the camera, eyes glowing in anger. Maybe even demanding a title rematch.

Everest is now pacing from side to side, rubbing his chin as he speaks

EVEREST: I’ve had some time to reflect though and calm down. If I had to cut a promo right now it would be calm, confident and calculated. It might sound something like this.

You know everywhere I’ve gone, fans are asking me, “Why did Dynasty have to get involved,” “You had Rios beat” and so on and so on. For once I didn’t know what to say but sadly I should have seen it coming. You know Rios, I’ve said it over and over, your time is coming. It’s coming soon, believe me. I’ll get me rematch, I’ve got your number and you know it, everyone knows it.

Everest moves closer to the camera which is perched right by the ring post. Everest comes to the corner and leans in.

EVEREST: But you know what Rios, my approach is changing. I’ve taken you on head to head time and time again, hell I’ve beaten you before, I’ve lost to you and more often than not I’ve felt the wrath of you and your cronies. That last part has been eating at me for awhile now. Whether it be Diasterpiece, Big Will, or just like at Lethal Lottery, Reaper, one way or another I seem to find myself in outnumbered situations.

Well I’ve come to another conclusion. If I want a fair shot at the title that Rios holds then I’m going to have to take matters into my own hands. Since it seems the front office is occupied by hyenas, I’m going to have to look out for myself.

If I’m not making myself clear enough for the fourth grade education of Dynasty here it is in the simplest terms possible: Starting with Reaper on Monday I’m coming for Dynasty and anyone else who’s stood in my way. This Monday I get a rematch of sorts with Reaper and it’s time to take off the gloves. Reaper you want to continue bringing your “friend” to the ring…that’s cool! I’m not a fan of weapons but don’t think I won’t resort to them if I have to. You see the nice guy is gone, stripped away by repeated beatings from Dynasty. Only the determined, angry champion remains. Reaper, I WILL move you out of my way, if it ends in a hospital stay for you, then so be it.

Once your eliminated, the rest of Dynasty will follow, until nobody stands in my way of Rios and his title. Disasterpiece, Will, Maxx, Myles, whoever wants to step up, I’ll be happy to send you on an all expense paid ambulance ride to the local medical facility.

The students are in a frenzy whooping and hollering and cheering Everest as he speaks.

EVEREST: So see what I’ve been telling you guys. Emotions can be displayed in a variety of ways, with humor, with anger or calmly like you just seen. It’s an art form. The interview is the hardest, most difficult skill to master but if you do, you’ll have them eating out of your hands. Good Luck to you all, you’ve got a great teacher, he’ll lead you in the right direction. Oh and ah be sure and enjoy the Battery Test.

With that Everest hands the mic back to Wayne, shakes his hand and thanks Wayne for letting him come back, before sliding under the bottom rope on the far side of the ring and disappearing toward a side door. As the camera follows him we hear Wayne in the background telling the students to get lined up for the hammer test. Right before Everest closes the door we see him glance back, smile like he remembers those days and laughs slightly as the door closes behind him
.

We fade in to Rios limping into the Dynasty locker room after his battle with Everest. He enters the room, holds his title up to his face, stares into its golden plates and a cocky yet triumphant smirk graces his face.

"As long as I am the champ. You aren't going anywhere but over my shoulder."

Just as Rios finished his statement the sound of someone clearing his or her throat could be heard. Rios spins around to see Reaper lying on the couch with his head in Cammy's lap as she strokes his bald head.

"Cammy, I think what our champion meant to say was something along the lines of, "Thank you Reaper. Thank you for saving my ass for the second time."

Cammy giggles and then looks up at Rios with a deadpan stare.

"Yeah, I think that's exactly what he meant to say."

Rios scoffs.

"Reaper, I am the champion. I was the champion before you got here and I will be champion until the day I die or the day I retire...whichever comes first. I had Everest right where I wanted him; I was just...just...luring him in. Yeah, I was just playing possum so that he would be lulled into a false sense of security."

Reaper and Cammy both give a good laugh, and Rios thinks that he has defused the situation. However, Reaper and Cammy both stop laughing just as quickly as they had started.

"My God Rios. Who knew you were such a great actor. I mean hell, if that was a performance then when the Oscars come around. You get my vote."

Cammy then in faux interest asks Reaper a question.

"But, what if it wasn't an act? What if our esteemed champion was getting his ass kicked from one side of the ring to the other?"

Reaper responded in faux shock.

"Nooooo! Joseph "The Main Event" Rios...gets his ass kicked...and from pillar to post...no way."

They both in unison turned their heads toward Rios and gave him a deadpan stare once more. Reaper would be the first to speak.

"However, if Rios really did need my help and if I really was responsible for him still having that belt. Then, I don't think it would be asking too much for some respect or at least a little gratitude. Otherwise, who knows? Maybe next time, it will be the man that has helped keep that belt on the champ’s shoulder who walks away with it."

While speaking Reaper got up and into Rios' face. Rios, none to happy about his authority or in-ring dominance being called into question, gets a look of seriousness on his face.

"You listen here freak show. Without me you would be nothing. Without me you wouldn't even be in Dynasty. Hell, without me there is no Dynasty. You would do well to remember that. I can beat anyone in this company anytime, anywhere, and on any night. I don't need your help or anyone's help for that matter."

That being sad Rios walks past Reaper and out of the room, furious but not wanting to get into another fight after just being through war. Cammy gets up behind Reaper and hold him close.

"Everything he has and much more shall be yours baby."

Reaper smiles.

"All in due time. All in due time."

With that the scene fades to black.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

We fade in to a shot of the backstage interview area. There Rebecca Serra is standing with a broad smile on her face as she stares into the camera lens. The cameraman signals for her to begin.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to WZCW OnDemand. Tonight, we have a special pre-Meltdown interview with the man that many believe is the only reason the Joseph Rios is still our Heavyweight Champion. That man who joins me now is the incomparable, Reaper.

The shot pans out to include Reaper who is standing to Becky's right. On his arm is the beautiful seductress, Cammy Carnage. Reaper is looking ready to wrestle as he is wearing a black "Dynasty" sleeveless t-shirt, cut-off blue jean shorts, and black boots. Cammy is looking just hawt. She is wearing a red tube top, black too-short-to-be-Daisy Duke shorts, and red thigh high boots.

"Reaper, there have been many rumors circulating about the demise of 'Dynasty'. Is there any truth in the rumors?"

Reaper, all business tonight, looks into the camera.

"No, rumors are just that. Whoever is spreading this garbage is just another person who would like to see the greatest assembly of talent this millennia get broken up. Well, I am sorry to say that the demise of 'Dynasty' has been greatly exaggerated."

Becky nods and continues.

"Well, what is your opinion of the title match between 'The One' Big Will and the current champion Joseph Rios?"

Reaper thinks on the question for a moment before responding.

"I think 'Dynasty' wins either way. The title stays in house either way. We are just as strong in the end no matter who wins. I think it will go down as one of the most epic title matches of all time.

"Speaking of title matches, you interfered in the World Heavyweight Title match at the Lethal Lottery pay per view costing Everest, the man you face tonight, the title. The Board of Directors saw fit to give him a shot at you, due to your willingness to stick your nose in his title shots. Do you really think that you can beat the former number one contender to the World Heavyweight title?

"No, I don't think I can beat him. I know I can beat him. I know I can cause him more pain then he ever thought possible. I know that I can stand toe to toe with Everest and take him to his limits and then beyond his limits.

Reaper, earlier this week WZCW caught up with Everest. Here is the tape of our interview.

Tape plays entire promo. Reaper gives a faux shiver and looks at Cammy.

"He said he's not afraid to use weapons. He said that he's done being the 'nice guy'. Oh Noes!!!! Cammy, Cammy...what should I do?"

Reaper says over dramatically and filled with sarcasm.

"You should go down to that ring and rip Everest a new asshole is what you should do. You should make it perfectly clear to him that up until now nobody, not even Disasterpiece, has seen what you are truly capable of. You need to go out there and show the world why you are the most dangerous son of a bitch on the roster, and why it is that any wrestler who dares step in the ring with you is certain to be carted out of the ring via stretcher."

Reaper gets a grip on himself and goes back to glaring at the camera.

"That's exactly right. Everest wants to talk about moving me out of the way. He wants to talk about me like I am some kind of stepping stone on his way to greatness. Well, I am sorry to say that the only person who is going to be stepped on tonight is Everest as I make my way up the card. I will show the world that I have main event talent and that none of these lowly sons of bitches are in my league as far as smarts, ability, and technical prowess. I am going to put on a clinic tonight at Everest’s expense and there's not a damn thing he can do about it.

Reaper and Cammy walk off camera and the shot re-focuses in on Rebecca.

"Well folks I hope you enjoyed our interview with Former WZCW Tag Team Champion and Dynasty member Reaper. Stay tuned, WZCW wrestling is next!

The Scene fades to black once more.
