There is a new article on WrestleZone.com recapping Eric Bischoff's latest appearance in the Monday Night Mayhem radio show. While they talked about many subjects, one that will stick here is Robert Roode.

Bischoff has a high opinion of Robert Roode as a talent.

Small piece, I know. But for discussion purposes, I separated it and made it the main focus here. Robert Roode has been with TNA since 2004 as the enforcer of the Team Canada stable. The six time World Tag Team Champion is also a part of one of the two biggest American tag teams, Beer Money. A team proven to be a formidable draw on their market having their merch sell well within TNA. Not only that, but as a character he has shown great development as both face and heel. But mainly as a heel during his feuds with Eric Young and Booker T.

I can't really blame Bischoff for thinking Roode's good talent. He really is when you look at him. He has the look and has a way of presenting himself that just makes him stand out as a potential player. To me he reminds me of Triple H himself. As both character and in image. He always sounds intense in his promos and has that sarcastic wit as well. Not only does he seem to have the tools but it seems he is also authority approved. With that little remark by Bischoff, I gotta wonder what the general feeling is on Robert Roode. Can he make it big? Do you feel he should be big? Can he follow on the footsteps of arguably TNA's only breakout star and also faction associate AJ Styles? I sure as hell believe it. With big name backup mixed with his character and image, I truly feel Robert Roode can be as big as any big name on todays field. I feel he's better than most midcarders on TV already.

Robert Roode is a future World Heavyweight Champion. Bank on it.

He has everything in his favor — work rate, looks, body, charisma, mic work, name (as in his name isn't something ******ed like Michael McGillicutty) and time (he's only 34).

Factor in that he's had rousing success as a tag team wrestler with both Team Canada and Beer Money, Inc. as well as played a significant role in the Frontline and Fortune/Immortal storylines and I'd say he's destined for stardom, assuredly.

Edit: Thank you, KJ.

I also think Very Highly of Roode as a Talent and I'm glad to see that Bischoff recognizes Roode's ability. Roode has the Look, In Ring Skills, Mic Skills and the natural Charisma to be a Future World Champion. He has had a Great Career as a Tag Team Wrestler with Team Canada and Beer Money I think its only a matter of time before he becomes a Main Eventer and a Star for TNA

The guy is going to be an absolute star if TNA gives him the chance. I've had the pleasure of seeing Beer Money live and both guys are superb at what they do. I noticed at their last show, Roode was doing everything to stay heel while Storm lapped up the crowds attention. He seemed natural in that role, cold and unemotive. Until they got to the ring anyway.

Anyway for the sake of building future stars, BMI may split this year even at the cost of the entire tag division. Storm and Roode would excel as singles guys. I cant explain why they never pulled the trigger on either guy before except that the scene has been crowded. Its now getting to the point where there may be a bit of breathing room and Roode (and Storm) would be welcome at a main event level.

Robert Roode is by FAR my second favourite superstar in TNA. That guy has Main Event written all over him. I think TNA wouldn't think twice of pushing him to the moon if he wasn't a part of one of the best tag-teams in the world right now.

On one hand you have Robert Roode who could contribute immensely to the Main Event and the company as a whole. Noone would hate to see Roode get a push.

On the other hand you are bound to get on some fans' nerves by splitting Beer Money. But then if you don't, you're running Roode's career into the ground for the sake of a tag-team.

Either way, someone's going to be disappointed.

Honestly, I think it's time for Roode to become a singles guy. Maybe part ways with Storm in a friendly manner or have Storm turn heel or him, or vica versa. I'd like to see Beer Money drop the belts to Generation Me and that'll conclude a good run for these two. Roode is awesome, hope he does well if/when he goes singles. No wonder Bischoff's high on him, he's a Triple H in the making (when HHH was actually good and intense).

I'm a huge fan of Robbert Roode. He is a great tag team competitor and also has the skill to be in the singles division. I can see him as a future TNA World Champion on more than one occasion. He deserves it too. I see him as a young HHH. He has the looks, the mic-skills, and the in-ring skill. He is a great athlete and I'm sure he will be at the top sooner than later.

Everyone who's watched TNA from when Roode started atleast is high on him, I'm personally a James Storm fan but hey.

I'll admit Roode has more talent than Storm. He will be a future World Heavyweight Champion aswell. BUT I hope him and Storm stay together, I want TNA to emphasize that division. They could make it a bit like MCMG and the X-Divison belt that was flipping between the two, but they stayed a team.

All in all I think both will eventually be WHC or atleast some sort of singles champion in the future but I hope they stay as... BEER. MONEY! (Inc.)

Absolutely Roode is destined for stardom. As already mentioned, he has ALL the tools to be at the the top, and we've all known it for a while. Also already mentioned is his similarity to Triple H. I've always seen it. In a perfect future, maybe 3-5 years where TNA is rid of almost ALL old vets and most WWE names, Roode is one of the TNA home grown talents that I see headlining PPV's and holding championships. With AJ Styles being the undoubted face of the company, Roode is the man that I could see being THE top heel. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens on this one though. TNA's at a make or break point right now, and if they go in the right direction and start giving the TNA fans what the TNA fans want, things are only looking up for Roode and all those around him.

this is something I have wondered. when and how do you split up Beer Money?
Roode in singles could be awesome! but then what do you do with James Storm? he has been tag team champions with Roode as well as Chris Harris in Americas Most Wanted. when you split up Beer Money, maybe it would be good to tag Storm with another good wrestler. you could then have Roode to go into singles, and you could also have Storm in the tag team division so you don't take a set back in the tag team division.
question is, who else could Storm team with??

I think he should be high on Roode. I think most people in the wresting business are high on him. He has every tool to be a major success. I think TNA is doing the right thing in not rushing to break up Beer Money. They are good together and it helps both men receive a push while they are a team.

But eventually Robert Roode will need to be given his chance to be a Main Eventer. Who knows, maybe Storm will move on to be a pretty big name as well. He certainly has the tools to do so, as well.

Roode has been a great worker in his career and is probably considered to have paid dues. So, when it comes time for him to get his push, I don't see too many objecting to it. It would seem when they choose to do it, there won't be many that are opposed to it.

This may be slightly off topic, but why does Eric Bischoff's opinion even matter? He's been telling anyone who would listen that he has absolutely nothing to do with how the company is being run, and makes zero creative decisions. He's an on air talent. Why is this relevant?

I see no reason why Robert Roode shouldn't be a headliner in TNA eventually. He's got everything going for him and it's only a matter of time before Beer Money split up. There's really only so many times they can be TNA World Tag Team Champions without it becoming extremely stale and I think that time is rapidly approaching.

Roode has a great look about him, he's got the goods in the ring, he has charisma, he's got good mic skills. The guy's a star, make no bones about it and I hope that Eric Bischoff isn't the only one with power in TNA that's intelligent enough to see it.

I'm sure if Bischoff mentions something about Roode people will listen, but that's for here nor there.

Onto Robert Roode. Is there anyone that isn't high on Robert Roode. In fact I think both the Beer and Money part of Beer Money have bright futures. Roode has the look, charisma, and in ring ability to be a star. Roode has been with TNA for a good while and he is still a mainstay there. He is great in the tag division and has been great in the singles division. He is a sure fire talent and is a future world champion. I don't blame Bisch for being high on him, I think we all are.

"IF" this has to happen, I really would want to see something happen where AMW gets back together. Reason being is that they were the top Tag Team for the longest time in TNA and oldschool TNA fans would eat it up. It would be the right thing to do for Storm as well knowing that you could probably still keep the team on top and move Roode on without too much of an upheaval from the fans because reunions usually work out well and the nostalgia factor sets in. Also, I want TNA to keep it's Tag team division healthy and not neglect it like WWE has done to theirs. You start breaking up Tag teams and it's all bound to fall apart.

As for Bischoff being high on Roode, well yeah. I agree that the guy has what the industry calls "IT". There has never been a question about it. Think about it. Team Canada broke up- and all that's left there is Roode and Eric Young. EY is used as humor and Roode moves on to be one of the greatest Tag Team wrestlers of the last ten years. Beer Money Inc. helped keep Tag Team Wrestling alive, period. WWE isn't doing much to keep the art around and the other companies don't have enough television time to make a huge impact, no pun intended. Roode has proven time and again that he has the talent and the ring psychology to be a top draw and one day it will happen, no question about it.

To me he reminds me of Triple H himself.

I also agree with this statement. In fact I would go one further and say that, as a pair, Beer Money reminds me alot of The Hunter/Shawn incarnations of DX. Roode's style is very much like Triple H's, while Storm adds the goofball, cowboy sidekick(complete with cowboy hat and super-kick finisher).

Following that DX mode I think it is possible for both Storm and Roode to have singles runs at the top of the card, while still maintaining the integrity of Beer Money as a unit.

every1 is high on Bobby Roode. Not only do i think he can be a champion, but i could see beer money inc in the WWE.You know Vince would break them up after about a year. And i could see Bobby Roode as the WWE champion!!!

!!just 1 guys opinion!!

I agree with everything that has been said. Robert Roode definitely has "it" and can easily be a main event guy and world champion if TNA gives him the ball.

For now I want to see him and James Storm stay together as Beer Money because they are a great team.
