ECW Match 2: The Freebirds vs. 3 Count

All of these matches take place inside of a ECW Ring with Extreme Rules.

The Match will be open for a week.

The Freebirds are whoever the hell you want them to be because I can't figure out one solid way of doing them justice.

3 Count is circa 2000

The Freebirds could be Ronnie and Johnny Van Zandt from Lynard Skynard, and I'd still pick them over 3 Count.

Let's be real - 3 Count was a fun collection of young talents with a fun, relevant gimmick. But they aren't in the league of ANY incarnation of the Freebirds. We're talking tag team legends here. And after the match, the Van Zandts and Michael Hayes could get together at the local watering hole and spout out racial epithets, it'd be fun for the whole family.

3 Count is out, Tank Abbot is crying.

If the Freebirds don't get at least 97% of the vote, this thing is rigged. This should be an absolute domination on all fronts. The Freebirds were a faction/team that half carried an entire promotion. Even when they were beyond watered down in WCW, they would win this. If nothing else they win for having one of the best theme songs ever with Badstreet.

This isn't even a contest. 3 Count was a good tag team, one of the few bright spots in WCW's dying days, but they are JOBBERS sitting next to the Freebirds. Now were this match held in WCW, then I would say that would be the only way 3 Count wins, and only because of WCW's notorious booking decisions. But since this is ECW, The Freebirds decimate 3 Count.

That was pretty much the point. I know its not rigged, just saying that this shouldn't be anything near competitive.

The Freebirds wins this one, no matter which two guys you decide to be the team. 3 Count was an okay low card tag team, but that's it, they won't last long against the much more experienced Freebirds.

My Thoughts: if you've read any of my post throughout my stay here, you will learn first hand that I think the Freebirds are absolutely, positively the most over rated, terrible team in the history of professional wrestling. These guys are terrible, and are only memorable because they were the first to have ring music. Big fucking deal. They made up for terrible ring work with cheap heat tricks with their confederate flag robes. What they desperately lacked in in ring ability they tried to cover up with what they call charisma. While 3 Count at this point in their careers weren't a great team, I still think they were better then the Freebirds.
