Drop NEXUS, give CM Punk his well deserved WWE Championship reign...

Tors Hall Rule

Straight Hedge(HOG)
Well, last night I was watching the CM Punk v/s Randy Orton Saga.. I tend to record the feuds that I care about and write them in DVDs..

So I put the DVD on my home theater,
Drank some beer.
Saw the raw episodes leading to WM.
Mixed some vodka.
Saw RKO v/s Punk at WM.
Drank some more beer.
Finally concluded at Extreme Rules.

After that I agree with many posters here that CM Punk is by a long distance the best worker in WWE right now.. Now I dont mean the backstage stuff.. I've never been into it.. For me, everyone's life is a personal issue. I only care about the ENTERTAINER who is out every week busting his ass trying to please us, either by making us love him or hate him.. And I think CM Punk is exceptional at that. Just watching him speak with Randy, the way he says Randall Keith Orton, the way he did the viper enactment at EC.. Well I can say that if VKM decided to put WWE Title belt on his waist for half a year or so, I'll be the first one to root for it..

Agree with me?? Then give me a HELL YEAH!!

I would love to see Punk get the WWE title but it's not going to happen for a long time , not with Vince wanting Cena to hold the title till Mania and defend it against the crock of shit that is the Rock.

CM Punk is my favourite Raw superstar right now and im afraid real soon it's going to be a case of use him or lose him. Vince can't think that highly of him what with Orton getting over him week in week out so it's more likely that WWE will lose him. I really don't want to see John Cena holding the belt till Mania. No need to make Cena v Rock a title match.
Whether you like The Rock or not..Thank you for coming home!

I definitely agree. And NO ONE is a bigger Punk fan then me. That's what makes this scenario so sad :(

I really don't think Vince see's Punk as someone who could be THE GUY. Just see's him as another Benoit or Christian. A solid talent who can carry any match, any guy, and when needed.. any show. But doesn't use them in that capacity. On top of that, Punk (who you could argue is the best heel in the company) isn't gonna be able to get anywhere NEAR the title when it comes to a challenger stand point. As now he falls further back in line behind both The Miz and Alberto Del Rio, 2 dudes who WWE loves and wants to push to the moon. Not to mention the rise of heel R-Truth, who is getting a good chunk of TV time each week.

Orton made the Nexus look pathetic in less then a month, and now Mason Ryan is breaking out on his own (maybe?) so Punk will now have to deal with and possibly feud with him (maybe?). But I do know that he's like what... 2, maybe 3 wins up on Cena!? That should solidify a title match right there!

But sarcastic dreaming aside, things don't look so great from my boy Punk.

There is no reason why CM Punk cant be a credible opponent going after the strap right now. Punks fued with Orton is over and Cenas fued with The Miz should surely be coming to an end.

Why can't Punk hold the strap for a while? Cena could win it back before WM28. It wouldnt make any difference to the WM28 match. I am fully aware ADR is probably going to be Cenas next opponent but the months going into WM we expected a Punk/Cena story and we never really got one.

Punk is amazing. In the last year or so I think he's proven that as well. I was sitting just listening to his commentary the other day and he was even good at that. Plus my new favourite Punk clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txsPKxycHKs which is just another reason I think he's brilliant. He's naturally ridiculously charismatic.

I however see Punk becoming like Jericho. The guy can talk his way out of anything and therefore can feud with anyone lose and still seem like a big deal. I reckon Vince has realised this and is therefore going to use Punk as a top talent enhancement talent... If that makes sense. I'm sure he'll get a few more title runs, probably nothing major or long but I'm sure he'll get them. He's probably the best thing going on Raw at the moment and that's while being saddled with the slowly dying Nexus.

Unfortunately if they don't get Punks contract situation rectified, Punk will not be champ. But I can see if they do get the issue rectified putting the belt on Punk.

As most have stated, the Rock-Cena match does not need the title involved, and also why would Rock be the number 1 contender for the Belt. Cena needs to lose the belt at the RR

Well as of right now, Punk didn't get his contract issue rectified. From what i have seen on wrestlezone, its going to take a long time for Punk to get this settle thus meaning he won't get the belt soon even if Cena wasn't champion.

Anyways, having Cena hold the belt until wrestlemania 28 is beyond stupid:banghead: but hey i'm not Vince so what do i know.

juste one thing you want CM Punk to be WWE CHAMP well he has to re-sing with the WWE and if he don't re-sign he will get depushed so i think after he re-sing he will get at least a title shot againt Cena or idk

To this day I am not sure why Punk was given the Nexus 2.0 as allies. I got Joey Mercury got hurt, Serena & Luke got cut. Could have allowed him to keep his SES persona and recruited some FCW talent to work with him.

Vince doesn't think highly of CM Punk? These are the guys Punk feuded with over the last 12 months:

Rey Mysterio
Big Show
John Cena
Randy Orton

That's 4 of the top 5 guys (minus Edge) in the company! Punk has systematically worked his way through each one of the biggest names in WWE. Doesn't sound like the plan Vince would lay out for a guy he didn't think much of.

If WWE agrees to put Punk in the main event picture for the long term, he'll agree to resign with the WWE. If not, then Punk's gone. It's a shame because Punk is ready to be a long term main event level wrestler and I think that's something a lot of people in WWE believe.

We've all heard Cena boast that he'll be WWE Champion come WM 28 but I don't think that'll happen. The reasons are in the thread discussing that possibility. There's still hope that Punk could be elevated to the main event spot and it's generally too soon to get an idea as to what's going to happen with his career. Over the course of the next month or so, if Punk begins to job out to Santino on Raw or is relegated to matches on Superstars where he jobs to Evan Bourne, then I think it's a sign that Punk's time in WWE is done.

I'd love to see Punk as WWE Champion. He's ready for it in my opinion. He's a marketable star that's been insanely over as either a face or a heel that has the goods in the ring and on the microphone.

Just like someone posted earlier, I never understood why WWE had CM Punk return from injury as the leader of the New Nexus. I felt the stable should have been done with their loss at SummerSlam last year, but they continued onwards, and though their storyline with forcing Cena to join them was slightly entertaining towards the end of the year, they have gone way too far past their expiration date at this point. CM Punk is an amazing talent, both on the mic and in the ring. He doesn't need to be the leader of any sort of stable. He's great on his own, and WWE should have kept him that way. I feel I would have enjoyed the recent Orton/Punk feud much more had Punk been on his own and not still with the Nitwits. Anyway, CM Punk definetely deserves a WWE title reign but with the fact that Vince just put the belt back on Cena (sigh), I unfortunately don't see that happening anytime soon.

Did everyone see how Punks fued with Orton ended up? Jobbing to Orton twice Punk has become a victim of Orton's push and now he is on the outs with the company. People say Vince does not think highly of Punk but if Vince can find a way to get Punk to resign he will pay up. Punk brings a huge following of Indy fans (he and guys like Daniel Bryan) that otherwise might not follow WWE as closely.

I think Punk is worthy to hold the title, but those contract negotiations between him and Vince are getting the best of him right now. He is a great storyteller and he would give Cena, Morrison, Kofi, or any of them a run for their money.

Like I said in another topic, I think it was a huge mistake to put CM Punk in The Nexus.

The fued they had with Cena and Punk looked really promising. They just put Punk in a weakened Nexus, and half-assed the ending of the Punk/Cena fued.

I wonder what's gonna happen now with Punk and Nexus. I'm guessing soon they'll probably break up the Nexus.

I agree Punk has more talent than most superstars he is a very well rounded wrestler he can do it all pretty much and wwe isnt utalising him properly !!! he should be in the wwe title frame for sure as he has proved himself to be a major draw for the company heel or face. god willing he will resign with wwe and even if they want the rights to his name he should i know it is his name that he came up with but as talented a wrestler and as a big of draw it wouldn't matter if he was called billy bitchcakes i would still watch him !

It would be nice for Punk to get another run with the belt, but I'd be happy with him just being booked a little stronger for a start. In reality, the world titles are just props and being champion isn't everything.

I have no complaints with Cena holding the belt right now. I doubt he's going to hold it a year this time, and it looks like ADR is next in line, and might win it at Summerslam. I support that idea. Other than ADR and Cody Rhodes though, there's no one I'd like to see become champion more than CM Punk. I hope Punk signs a new contract and gets a decent run with the WWE title at some point in the next couple of years.

Hell yeah ! Lol. I completely agree with you. CM Punk is undoubtedly the best talent currently in the WWE. But i have a feeling with whats going on with Punks contract he is not going to resign because they are not using him properly. Theyv got him possibly feuding with Big Show and Kane when be should be competing for a world title and TBH i wouldn't blame him if he let. God forbid if he did, what state would the WWE be in...

Vince, listen to me yeah and make CM Punk the WWE champion instead of that fucker Cena.

John Cena Vs CM Punk for the WWE Championship is highly unlikely to happen. In my opinion CM Punk should have been drafted to SmackDown. In SmackDown he could have been a serious Contender for the World Heavyweight Champion, Christian Vs CM Punk would have been great.
