I don't particularly like it. Maybe it'll get better once I start racking up the hours. I have to have, like, a bazillion. It's just so hard to tell when the car is centered because you're on one side and the car extends in the other direction Not to mention asshole tailgaters who know you're learning so they decide to ride all up on you.

Yeah, just wanted to rant a little.

I hate driving myself. Mostly because the people who get Driver's Licenses here in the US don't get half the training they do over in Europe. They have to go to driving school for a year. Craziness.

That, and Arkansas drivers suck massive donkey balls.

We have to have 24 hours of driving school in Ohio. It wasn't fun.

Arkansas is "pass the written test, permit for 6 months, pass the driving test." Probably accounts for all the assholes in my town doing whatever the fuck they want on the road without basic courtesy for the fucking traffic laws.

Still though, 24 hours of driving school is nothing to the year of driving school countries like Germany require. The kicker, you have to pay for every bit of the class. So now you know why so many people just walk to where they wanna go. :lmao:

the hell? 24 hours? thats it?!?!!!

here in Aussie land, you get your 'Learner' licence and you have to rack up 100 hours with a person with an open licence, you can do it with a driving instructer.. every 1 hour counts for 3 with them, but damn. THEN you get your 'provisional' licence and can drive by yourself aslong as ur car isn't over 6 cylinders.

wish i had to only do 24 hours :suspic:

No, no. We have to have 100-200 hours of driving or something. 24 hours of sitting in a classroom watching instructional videos. 6 months before we can take the licence test. 10 hours of night driving.

I love driving, although learning gets kinda boring, when you've passed though the freedoms great.

sounds like ours.. minus the instructional videos lol

I absolutely love driving, since I passed my test in April, my life has become so much simpler. :D

I don't particularly like to drive either...I passed my test today so we'll see what happens... I did it out of necessity not because I was eager to do it, though it might make life easier right enough.

Yeah, I'm doing mine out of necessity. America just isn't built for bicyclists and pedestrians anymore...

:(

In Canada we write a test then do a driving exam. Anyone could get a licence here. Eh.

I don't know how I lived without driving. I get to go wherever I want whenever I want, how did I live without being able to do that for the first 16 years of my life? Although there are some idiots, and I do mean idiots, on the road, it's not bad if you just pay attention.

I passed my test a year ago and driving is second nature now. It is scary to start with but it's piss easy once you're used to it.

I had to wake up at 6am this morning to go get the car out of a bunch of mud that it got stuck in last night. My building's been doing renovations in our parking garage for months, so people resort to parking anywhere they can, including the front lawn. Well it's been raining pretty regularly over the past week and my sister drove the car into a mud-water grave late last night and wanted to get it out before my parents woke up and saw it. Needless to say after a lot of maneuvering and flooring I managed to get it loose and gtfo. As fun as it is frustrating using a Malibu like it's a fuckin jeep.
