Messi leaving Boateng on his backside. :worship: :worship: :worship:

Is today the British, or at least Liverpudlian, equivalent of Wayne Gretzky retiring? Only Kevin Smith probably isn't going to get high and cry about it.

So it's come to this, needing the Manc scum to win so Newcastle stay up? I'm not sure how much I care anymore. To be frank it's win/win either way, I'd take relegation if it means Ashley fucks off.

what makes you think relegation will make him leave?

It probably would mean less buyers interested. A billionaire is better off investing in a club currently in the 2nd tier and building the team up from scratch than a recently relegated side. That seem to be the strategy with so many of the sides there being foreign owned all hoping to win the lottery for the big pay day for a relatively minor investment.

Villa is up for sale if they wanted a club already in the premiership.

This is why I said "if"
I had high hopes that he was going to fuck off so he could buy Rangers but that's dead now. There were rumours a while back that he would sell either at the end of this season or the next, that's why a permanent manager wasn't appointed.

Unless a billionaire wants a new play thing going up against Roman or Sheikh Mansour I doubt any new owner will be that much different than Ashley.

Club ownership is a money pit if one desire to be competitive. Owners need to buy the club and then dump close to a billion for a chance to be competitive against more established clubs. Or get hated by the fans for not investing enough.

Not really enticing unless the buyers share the same profit mentality as Ashley or investment groups, then you are back at square one.

" In the last 10 games we've been inconsistent that's for sure". Losing 9 and drawing one is not inconsistent Carver. Fuck right off.

Don't be so stupid. He knocked back £100,000 a week earlier in the year. Raheem Sterling is not focused on the team but himself.

Sterling is 100% focused on himself and not the team. Whether that's right or not is a different argument. But don't kid yourself his agent wouldn't be acting this way unless Sterling wanted him to.
