You couldn't have written a better script for Fernando 'El Nino' Torres for his first goals on return to his boyhood club, Atletico Madrid. 2 Great finishes against the Eternal City Rivals to dump them out of the Copa Del Rey at the Santiago Bernabao.
Can't help but feel happy for the guy. :)

btw, Antoine Griezmann is turning out to be quite a player, just as I expected him to be given how good he was at Real Sociedad.

Cant stand when players with the skills of a fucking donkey are hyped up. Tomi Juric has scored 10 goals in 25 appearances for the Western Sydney Wanderers and everyone's hyping him up as the future of Australia and how he should turn down a move to China(and the $18m contract) and head to Europe. Cunt can not score a goal to save himself.

How old is he?

Sounds like what happens in England all the time (Andy Carroll, Harry Kane) hyped to the moon by the press and then those kids get called shit by a bunch of armchair know nothings when their form starts to dip, which to be fair can be blamed on the backlash of the overhype to start with. Sabotaged before they even get out of the gate half the time. Both will be perfectly serviceable and maybe even better than that players over the years.

And at the same time, an unfashionable player like Peter Crouch got consistently ridiculed despite scoring more than a goal every two games for England.

You know what, I can't help it, I hated Peter Crouch. I would be stupid to deny his stats, but I hated it when I saw him in the lineup, and the main reason for that is, at his best he'll get you a scrappy goal against half decent opposition or a hat-trick against Jamaica (which was a huge buffer for those goal stats) but at his worst he will foul constantly costing his team possession, will miss sitter after sitter after sitter and reduce an otherwise fairly competent team to a bunch of long ball knock down merchants which is fine in qualifiers against San Marino, which are co-incidentally the games he bagged goals in, but teams like Germany will deal with all day, every day for fun.

And then, then, to fucking vex you even further the cunt will score a wonder goal against one of the best sides in the fucking world in the league. I am still not convinced the positives outweighed the negatives though.

He's 23 and tall, which is where the hype comes from. Which is weird because even though 23 isnt old its usually the 18-21 year olds that the media cant stop jerking it to. Rojas, Kruse , Halloran, Leckie, Rogic, etc. all had better careers before europe and hadnt been over to Europe and failed before like Juric already has.

The a-league player to get around is Scott Galloway from Melbourne Victory, a two-footed full back who can play either side was captain of the AIS and should have a handy career. Also, Danny De Silva at Perth is finally starting to live upto the hype of being a world class calibre player before heading off to Roma next season. That's who I'm looking forward to seeing develop over the next 5-10 years instead of Juric

but at his worst he will foul constantly costing his team possession

I accept the rest but this is something I have always had a problem with when it comes to Crouch's treatment by referees. I would say a high percentage of the free kicks given against him were complete bollocks - frequent cases of the referee judging the book by its cover and thinking that at his height Crouch must be fouling his marker. Total nonsense.

That said, you could argue that it took Crouch far too long to adapt to such officiating. But then on the other hand you could easily say that he should not have to.

How in the blue hell can any 17 year old, let alone a 17 year old in the A-League, be called world class? How could you possibly judge? It's like being called a superstar 'cause you're tearing it up in the Rymans League.

There are these things called youth world cups and such. Where he's impressed scouts. He was also listed at 33 on TEAMtalk's top 50 wonderkids. You see when talking about young players and hype the main thing anyone is looking at is potential. Which is why he's a wonderkid because he's considered to be a player that could be world class when he's older.

I'D just like a minute to bore you all with my recent championship manager 01-02 achievements.

I won every trophy possible with Millwall inside 5 years, including winning the league when a youth player lobbed the goalkeeper from 30 yards in the 94th minute to equalise and win the league on goal difference.

The most realistic part of this is that my midfield is the best in the world and consists of Steven gerrard, Kieron dyer, Zambrotta and Joe Cole. Up front is Nocolas Anelka and former Tottenham lard arse Mido.

I tried Football Manager 13, won all my pre-season friendlies and gave up forever after I narrowly lost two of my three league games.

I accidentally broke the most recent game with my attempts to create a pressing tactic and took QPR almost (Fuck Man U) undefeated in their first season, doing the double and only missing the league cup because I intentionally sabotaged it. Fun drained out a bit after that.

Because Lee is a gentleman/dead, I'll be the one to say it; Pardew still comes across as a massive gaping cunt full of yellow discharge of bullshit and cockney cuntiness.

DIEGOOOOOOOOO COSTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Seriously, how fucking great has he been. So clinical and keeps possession as if his life depends on it.

So, Juventus forward, Sebastian Giovinco, only 27 years old, has decided to move to Toronto FC on the back of the biggest contract for a player in MLS(according to the article).

The writer in the article found in the link above claims that he is 'throwing away' his top-level career with such a move and will be remembered as unfulfilled talent who chose money over top-level football.

My take on it, is that whilst the player, Giovinco, was once seen as the next big thing in Italian football, he never quite lived up to his talent. And, as the Author says, he is only a bench player at Serie A Champions, Juventus, at this point, and his only real options to 'fulfill' his talent is to move to a Euro League side.

However, his choice has been to accept a huge contract from Toronto FC and possibly play out the rest of his career there. I have no problems with him doing that given his other potential options, as I feel at the end of the day, he isn't that big of a player that he will ever be major in a top-level team challenging for titles. Juventus has been winning Serie A easily, but will Giovinco be credited hugely for it? Nope.

So given a footballer has a limited time to make money, I wholeheartedly support this move of his, as it isn't like he is in any position to be remembered much for what he did on the pitch anyway...
