In purely odds terms, Liverpool are now the favourites but that does not really mean much when it is still so tight and two of the challengers still have to play each other. Jose is more than capable of getting a result at Anfield, while Norwich and Palace will have something to play for when they play Liverpool and Newcastle could be a wild card.

It could be like 8-0. Newcastle are dead in the water at this point.

So were Fulham that time last season. They had nothing to play for, went on a similar run to what Newcastle are enduring now and then in the last gamje of the season, put in their best performance on the season. Newcastle could do the same thing. Stranger things have happened.

Usually I'd totally agree - I never count out any team in the Premier League. But it just seems like the heart has been ripped out of that team. They seem a lot worse than Fulham were. But yeah, you're right - at the end of the day anything could happen.

At the start of the season, I was open to Liverpool being the other team who have the best opportunity to win the title (the other was Arsenal). With the way the league has played out and Liverpool being favours, I would like to see them go all the way and win. I've always had a level of respect for Liverpool and while Chelsea and Man City are capable of raising their game and piling on the pressure which means the title is still anyone's to win, I would like to see Steven Gerrard raise the trophy at the end of the season because he's one captain who deserves to have won a league medal out of them all.

I would rather like to see Liverpool win it simply because it's been a long time since they won the league and would at least prove there is another team who can stand up to Chelsea and Man City in a post-Ferguson era, where Arsenal have failed to do.

Out of interest, what is Pulis' record against Liverpool like? The Palace game seems like it could be a potential banana skin but I think the Everton - City game could be a cracker.

Stoke's record against Liverpool in the Premiership with Pulis is pretty good. Almost evenly split I believe.

His constant claims for handballs and penalties annoyed me more than any divers ever could. If he was on the pitch in the 85th minute, he could probably fit in a dozen penalty yelps in that time. Rooney is doing it a fair bit just now too and while I appreciate his doing so for the team, he can leave that shit to the pauper players and try having some £300k a week performances instead.

Ooh, where did that come from?!

Yeh I was aware he had some good scalps against City and Chelsea but couldn't remember how he fared against some of the other big boys.

Pulis only recently claimed a scalp against Chelsea. Never did it with Stoke other than a bore draw.

At home we always expected to get something from a match against Man City & Arsenal. A result home or away against Liverpool and nowt from Chelsea or Man Utd. Nothing will have changed, Liverpool fans should be concerned.

Any slip up by Liverpool and the title will be gone. I've got a feeling that Mourinho will spoil the party and end up handing the title to Man City.

It's looking like Arsenal's champion league spot is disappearing. In which case, Wenger goes and takes the national job and I go down the bookmakers tomorrow and place a bet on France for Euro 2016.

Ha and literally the second I press send, Arsenal take the lead.

Well, the title is entirely in Liverpool's hands now. Best of luck to them they've waited long enough for this.

City were lucky from the sounds of things.

Oh and Pulis has a good record against Liverpool. I've failed to get a ticket for the Palace match, was quoted £400. The way the results went last night couldn't be better.

I have a vague feeling that Liverpool will beat Norwich, Palace and Chelsea and then get to the end of the season and lose 4-3 to Newcastle in exactly the same way we stopped them winning the league under Keegan.

Either that or Torres will score the winner of his arse or something.

Which means it's pretty much impossible. I don't see Newcastle being the team to win at Anfield if Chelsea can't do it.

I would love it...
