While Ramsay has started the season well, his form has yet to override the 2 years of absolute garbage he produced. There were times last season when I thought he had never played football before in his life. On the swingometer of form, he is still closer to "shit" than "beast" but there are positive signs.
As for Arsenal mounting a title challenge, they do not have enough quality coverage across the park. A strong midfield going forward but defensively cannot yet be be trusted. The defence itself can also not be trusted and the attack is lacking that one top quality leading man.
Having said that, even with such holes in their squad, there is very little reason why the likes of Arsenal cannot mount a challenge, mainly because their main rivals do not look anything special right now. I mean Man Utd won the title at a canter last year by being slightly less mediocre than everyone else and are not much better at the moment. Man City are ridiculously inconsistent while Mourinho seems set on stamping his personality on Chelsea even if it means sacrificing their stability.
The likes of Arsenal, Spurs and maybe even Liverpool should be trying to take full advantage of that and steal a march on them.
