Domestic football - spam version

Didi Hamann has played in a World Cup final and won the Champions League. Jack Wilshere has as many senior football medals as I have.

Choosing Wilshere over Ramsey for my fantasy team was a stroke of genius. Wait, no, I mean it was as genius as if I'd just had a stroke.

Also, Aaron Ramsey has become a feckin' man possessed this season.

He was awesome before he broke his leg, it's just taken him a long time to get back to form.
All those Arsenal fans calling for Wenger to be fired after the Villa game should look at the Premier League table, then punch themselves in the face, hard.

Wow Mackems got screwed.

1 disallowed goal goal that should've stood in a 3-1 loss doesn't change anything, even if that is the attitude of the English since that match against Germany.

Arsenal are on top of the table (until Monday at least). Gonna enjoy that.

It does when the disallowed goal would have made the game level at 2-2. Perfectly reasonable to think that Sunderland could have been motivated from the goal to play better and seal the draw or even nick a win.

They should never have got the pen either so it would have been 2-1 still.

It's also perfectly reasonable to think that Arsenal, the better team for the entire game, would've scored a third goal, since they did.

One thing I don't understand is how the Premier League can continue to be so popular when it's not available on broadcast tv. It's only on those premius Cable channels in UK from what I understand. What about all the people who don't have expensive cable packages? Won't the league's popularity go down when most people can't watch the games?

I mean how much of NFL popularity comes from the sunday and moday games being on basic cable stations and local stations? Look at what happened to NHL when that League lost their ESPN and ABC deal.

It's been this way for over 20 and it's only growing in popularity. In this country, football is recession proof, it's so deeply ingrained into communities at every level that it's ritual. Broadcast TV has a longstanding highlight package legally protected by the government under culture laws.

Plus, there's a lot of cup and international matches on basic cable, as well as Match of the Day. And there are plenty of people who watch football online, legally or otherwise. So yeah, there are ways to watch it other than getting financially mauled by Sky for their sports channels.

Aaron Ramsey is a fucking beast. It's like he and Theo have a freaky Friday deal going on, with Ramsey scoring for fun and Theo having trouble.
