Could have been better, hopefully tomorrow will be more productive. It was pretty stupid to use Sturridge instead of Benteke for this week.

Not sure why I have failed to get round to telling BT to give me BTSport. I am a BT Broadband customer so it should not be much of a problem.

Missed the Liverpool game this afternoon because of it.

That match was on Setanta, surely you guys have that channel over there?

In other news, I don't want to be an Arsenal fan anymore. Make it stop.

Setanta UK went under years ago. In the UK they legally can't show the match at 3.

I guess I could tell you to calm down.

Fucking no-one mentioned Uniteds game being on Pick TV this evening. Although by the time I did switch over, Sky's new studio made me feel embarrassed for them so its maybe not so bad.

Also, Arsenalol. (Sorry rojan, blade)

I didn't see any transfer news of Villa buying the referee, when did that happen? ;)

If I weren't so tired, I'd think of some kind of witty comeback. You win this round!

To be fair though, I've just seen the highlights, and Arsenal were unlucky with some decisions, mainly the second penalty which should never have been. But after putting up with Villa last season, I cannot emphasize just how awesome it was to read that scoreline.

I watched the full match and Villa deserved the win. This is me saying this.

A poor start to the season beyond today's result and Wenger will be forced into another rash of last minute signings to fill not just the gaps in quality but in numbers as they have sold/released 27 squad players this summer and only signed one.

Indeed, their inability to tie up deals is starting to get embarrassing. Higuain didn't go to a bigger club than Arsenal and for Luis Gustavo to be allowed to choose Wolfsburg over Arsenal is ridiculous, while that £40,000,001 bid for Suarez ended up making them seem like they had not done their homework and that they really did not want to sign him in the first place.

What they "deserved" becomes a non-factor when the referee makes so many biased decisions.

Well, at least he won't be here next year. That's something to look forward to. Next summer, we should offer Jurgen Klopp the world to join us.

I read that they will be going back ("back") for Rooney this week.

United haven't had a great transfer window either so far but I've liked Moyes' blooding of the youngsters in their pre-season. Lingard won't find it easy to get a start outside of the early rounds of the Carling Cup but Lanzaj (or whatever he calls himself) got a lot of praise in most of the games. A Fellaini would be nice, but I don't see it being a be-all-end-all if we don't sign him.

I read earlier this week that Madrid might wait until transfer deadline day to really push for Bale, then I just noticed this.

Transfer Deadline Day - August 31st
Arsenal Vs Spurs - September 1st

You can imagine how badly Spurs would take losing that game if Bale goes the night before. I can't see it happening.

At what point do I have to scream either get rid of Arsene or let him spend? Whatever backroom fracas or personal choices it is that Arsene makes, something needs to change in that club. And there is nothing more delusional than football fans. They just refuse to reason.
