Domestic football - spam version

Something something Scottish football! How do you like my biting satire, FunKay? Hurts, doesn't it?

Very funny. I'll laugh even more from the continent.

Correct Dave. And you're a Hoops man are you not?

I am, indeed.

A good win for Dundee United today. It doesn't mean much to the Celtic team but a good win nonetheless. It secured you a place in the Europa League and that can only be good for you. I really hope that, with the omission of Rangers next season, that Scottish teams are not embarrassed on the continent.

Celtic will do their part in the Champions League and might reach the latter stages of The Europa League when they are, obviously, eliminated at the group stage of the Champions League. I honestly hope that Motherwell and Dundee United are up for the challenge next season or we can kiss our falling coefficient goodbye.

Just been looking back at the start of this thread trying to find people's predictions for teams final positions this year, but they must have had their own thread or something.

Some of the early stuff is either hilarious or spookily accurate.

Not being English, it amuses me how some can criticise the appointment. Because if I was English and actually wanted England to win Euro '12 then I'd be pretty annoyed at the dissapproving of a manager before he's even done anything, remember Pardew's appointment at Newcastle and how everyone cried over the loss of Hughton? Yeah so do I. It's about time England's "supporters" actually get behind the players, the manager and not have such silly expectations.

Speaking of Newcastle. Congratulations are in order for the fantastic season they've had. I hope they finish in the top four (well, I hope Chelsea do but that don't look like it's happening). If Chelsea somehow don't win the European Cup, Newcastle deserve Champions League football more than Tottenham. Cisse, is by FAR signing of the season. 13 goals in his first 12 matches, really? really? And I don't care what Peter Crouch says, his second goal last night is the goal of the season and probably the best volley I've ever seen.

Why am I so gracious in defeat, you ask? Well, Chelsea are about to win the FA Cup so that puts me in a pleasant mood.

To be honest both Rednapp and Hodgson are the same. They are better at putting out fires than making title-winning teams. I don't see how one can support one over the other when comparing the two of them.

Surely that's a penalty due to the fowl in the Blackburn box.

Well Rovers deserved to be relegated. When your best player is a desperate last minute loan signing gamble that paid off, you know there was a lack of planning by the manager before the season started. Oh well...at least the hen had a good time today

Premier League top goal scorers for Liverpool this season:
Suarez 11
Bellamy 6
OG 5
Gerrard 5
Carroll 3

Indeed you are. If Di Matteo had tactical prowess he'd have realised Downing was on pens and just had Chelsea hack you in the box rather than trying to defend (stolen from Twitter).

If results stay this way Newcastle United are guaranteed a top 5 finish ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea. Just let that sink in.

It's not that Liverpool are winning 4-1 it's that Shelvy, Henderson and Agger have scored.

I find it remarkable that Chelsea think it's easier to beat Bayern in Munich than it is to finish 4th in the league. I hope and predict they're well beaten.

I know.

I think it's great that Carroll ran rings around Terry tonight. Shows Kenny his mistake from the cup final. Also I suspect this may be a turning point for AC, he deserved a goal tonight.

He played like he did in the 5-1 against the mackems, worked his arse off and did everything but score.

Yeah he played like he had something to prove tonight. It's a good sign heading into next season at least..........

EDIT: Delighted Shelvey got a goal too, he's not bad
