Domestic football - spam version

We've made some cracking signings.

There's him, Ba, Santon's coming on strength to strength and Cabaye.

Then you consider the sudden remembering that they can play football from Krul, James Perch, Williamson, Ryan Taylor and of course Ben Arfa.

Exciting times really.

What do people think the bottom 3 will be.

I am praying we beat WBA at the weekend, as I really think QPR will get something at Stoke.

Then Bolton have Stoke away on the final day while QPR play City.....

Sadly I can't see Bolton beating WBA, I had them down for a draw last night but that didn't happen.

I want QPR to go down but it'll be Bolton.

Is anyone annoyed at the constant negativity at the appointment of Roy Hodgson by the British media or by Liverpool fans online just because he failed at their precious 'big' club?

West Brom is only 3 points behind their "King Kenny can do no wrong" side and didn't spend 100mil pound this year. Going by form Liverpool might even finish below Hodgson's west brom. But sure, a League Cup masked only winning 5 matches at home with 1 home game left.

The 2 games Bolton have left are winnable though whether they will is another matter. My feeling is that if QPR don't get anything against Stoke it'll be QPR going down as Bolton will only need a point.

Not being English, it amuses me how some can criticise the appointment. Because if I was English and actually wanted England to win Euro '12 then I'd be pretty annoyed at the dissapproving of a manager before he's even done anything, remember Pardew's appointment at Newcastle and how everyone cried over the loss of Hughton? Yeah so do I. It's about time England's "supporters" actually get behind the players, the manager and not have such silly expectations.

Speaking of Newcastle. Congratulations are in order for the fantastic season they've had. I hope they finish in the top four (well, I hope Chelsea do but that don't look like it's happening). If Chelsea somehow don't win the European Cup, Newcastle deserve Champions League football more than Tottenham. Cisse, is by FAR signing of the season. 13 goals in his first 12 matches, really? really? And I don't care what Peter Crouch says, his second goal last night is the goal of the season and probably the best volley I've ever seen.

Why am I so gracious in defeat, you ask? Well, Chelsea are about to win the FA Cup so that puts me in a pleasant mood.

I'm glad you didn't say "we were resting players" as there were times when our 3 man midfield just walked through your 5 man midfield.

Well that result turned everything on its head.

Outlandish bet of the weekend toon 3 man city 0 Cisse first 295-1

The first half hour of the FA Cup final has encapsulated Liverpool's season - always seeimg plenty of the ball but doing very little with it.

Also Jose Enrique is nowhere near as good as he is given credit for. The talk about him being quick is incorrect for when he runs he consistently looks like he is hamstrung.

All of the ball over all of the line?

No.

There hasn't been a fair angle shown yet.

It's irrelevant. We lost. But Andy Carroll made up for his failures this season. If he can produce performances like that next season, he should be given another fair chance, if he fails within the first six months attempt to sell him off in January.

I'm proud of Liverpool, even in defeat. Whether Dalglish stays or goes, I don't care, just hope they have somebody in mind if he does indeed leave.

If Carroll plays like that week in week out, replacing Torres and Babel with him and Suarez will look like deal of the century, regardless of the fees.

Indeed. Couldn't have said it better. He was superb and that header was ridiculously close.

Chelsea were average. Deserved to win but only because Liverpool were absolutely atrocious in the first half, 1-1 in the second was more than fair.

I like it, buying it on release day thanks to winning £30 vouchers at work

I'm torn. I like Man City and hope they win the league. But I also like the surprise package of Newcastle this year. Demba Ba and Cisse look like a great front two. If Newcastle can keep hold of their players at the season end, then they might go one better next year, they're having a great season.

Still, I hate the thought of Man Utd winning another fucking championship. So, for today, C'Mon City!
