Domestic football - spam version

Yeah Blackburn are fucked now. 1 spot left to go down and I'm hoping it's Villa's but I think their goal difference is too much. QPR I expect, if they don't beat Stoke they're finished.

True but Spurs would have allowed it if he really wanted to go. Spurs are a selling club, they wouldn't have risked him resigning just to accept the job on his own terms. Redknapp rejected it, Hodgson is almost certainly not first choice.

One of the best things I heard all day. Rangers fans chanting, "We're Rangers 'til we die!" Celtic fans responding, "You're Rangers 'til July!" Brilliant stuff.

Hodgson will have been first choice, as he should have been in the first place. He's had more experience with international football, and is widely regarded as the best manager Switzerland have ever had. He didn't do well at Liverpool, but they're no better off from when he left £120million later. He took Fulham from being shoo ins for relegation to the Europa League final in two years, and then has taken West Brom to the brink of finishing in the top half.

Yes, but look at his record of doing a lot with not much time: International Management. Fulham were utterly fucked when he came, and he turned them round. West Brom weren't as fucked, but they'd lost a lot of games in a row, then he got them to 11th or whatever.

But you're right, it's in Europe he's done better, because he understands how to adapt to different styles of football, rather than the usual "we'll just play exactly like we always do every time".

Thank the new Gods and the old Gods for Game of Thrones tonight! I honestly don't think I can bear to watch the match tonight thanks to SkySports' relentless hyping of it.

Thrones starts at 9 so I may just watch the first-half then have a peek at what's going on during the ad breaks.

What are people's plans for watching the derby tonight?

Just about beaten my flu so I'll wander down to the bar to watch it on the big screen, though I'm not a massive football fan, I'll be backing City just to make the title race more interesting.

4-3 methinks.

My bets:

Scholes last: 16/1 £2 on.
Man U to Win 2-1, Tevez to score first: 125/1 £1 on.
Man U to Win 2-0 Rooney first: 70/1 £2 on.

Actrual result: 0-0

City defo deserved the win. I can just see them beating Newcastle and then Bobby fucking Zamora scoring a screamer as QPR win 1-0 on the last day of the season.

If Fergie had sense his interview today would have been:

I'd love it, love it if Newcastle beat them.

I knew there'd be a buzz around the game, but in Galway it was ridiculous.

A half hour before the game we started looking for a pub to watch it in, we ended up going to six and finally found a place to stand, and it just happened to be the pub which represents the Chelsea supporters league. Thought it was a good match though, happy for City and the row between Ferguson and Mancini made me laugh. Good header from Kompany, De Gea may want to blame them contact lenses.
