Yes, how dare a business investigate new ways of making money. I for one am shocked that they would want to bring the Premiership into line with the rest of Europe.

If you're bigger than the rest of the Premiership win the fucker first.

I would say that it is exactly because Liverpool have not won the Premiership that they are investigating other potential areas of financing.

Does it really mean that they seem themselves as "bigger than the rest of the Premiership"? I would amend that to say that they see themselves as bigger than most of the Premiership because it is 100% true.

Brand wise, Liverpool are probably 2nd or 3rd in the league and yet they should share the same revenue as Norwich City? I am not suggesting that it is not morally dubious to potentially widen the gap between rich and poor clubs, it is unsurprising as football becomes more and more about being a business.

I am actually very surprised that the Glazers have not tried to do this already and with the increasing number of American owners in the Premiership, this kind of individual international TV deal has a good chance of passing.

One of the benefits could be that we get more football on our televisions.

Maybe if you didn't spend £55million on Andy Caroll and Jordan Henderson you wouldn't need to do that.

As i Liverpool fan i can see where they are coming from. They invested a lot of money in the club already and the fans are putting pressure on them to build a new stadium. Like barbosa said Liverpool have one of the biggest fan bases in the league so we have more to gain by adopting this new approach.

However as a fan of English football i don't want to see the premiership go the same route as the spanish league where the promoted clubs never have a chance of doing well at all. Some of the lower clubs have serious money problems already and this wont help.

I think foriegn ownership is a bigger problem the premier league needs to address.

Am i the only spl fan? and by that i mean Celtic. Gotta love Neil Lennon even if we are a bit shit atm.

Epl belongs to Man city this year and arsenal have no chance of being in the top 4 they will be lucky to reach the euorpa league.

Also lee i noticed you are a Newcastle fan you must be excited with the start to this season do you think you can stay in the top 4?

We won't stay in the top 4 but it's a great start. My Scottish team are doing well too ;)

I don't see yous staying in the top 4 maybe in the top 6. Which is a decent finish for a team like Newcastle.

There doing well for the moment but in lenny we trust and we will come back..... i hope :icon_neutral:

I can't even see us in the top 6 but we'll beat Spurs on Sunday.

Because he hates Rangers as much as us Celtic fans do

That'll be because he's basically a Celtic fan...now if only he could beat Rangers when it matters...

He aint a cunt hes a good manger we just need a boot up the arse this season and theres bigger ***** in scottish football (walter smith, peter houston and craig brown!)

Good manager? He bought about half a squad that should've/could've won the league against the bankrupt Rangers and yet he still failed miserably and continues to do so at the moment with the title race nearly over despite the fact it's freaking October.

Oh, and how are Smith/Brown/Houston *****?
