THIRTY FUCKING MILLION BWAHAHAHAHA :lmao:

As an Everton fan, I'm hurt by this. Private jet and all, only to sign with the Spurs.

I don't know much about him but it seems good.

He is pretty solid for a 23 year old. Probably the second best right back in the US behind Fabian Johnson. Sometimes he tends to play with too much of an offensive mindset, leading to iffy defending at times. He has good pace and can run for days, but when he gets in trouble he tends to get into big time trouble. Like in Copa America this year against Paraguay he earned two yellows in the first 50 minutes.

I'm that guy whose rooting interest in Europe is based only on where American players are playing, so while he is there, consider me a fan. I also had a bad experience while playing for Sunderland in one of my FIFA career games, so I got a head start haha.

It's just Spurs, not the Spurs. Just Spurs. He's shit, as an Everton fan you're lucky.

Ha yeah and sunderland hate American players (see Altidore).

I don't know how Newcastle got that kind of money out of Spurs and (nearly) Everton. But hey, anything that weakens Spurs is fine by me.

Also, fucking LOL. Worst panic by since Andy Carroll. Which was another selling master-stroke by Newcastle.

£30m for Sissoko is, genuinely, a piece if brilliant business from Newcastle. They've lessened the quality of the team by letting Wijnaldum and Sissoko (when he is on form) go. But they have bought a tonne of players who are used to the Championship and who will likely see them back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. What's more, they've offset the cost of those players by selling only 2. Well played, Mike Ashley.

Rafa's just done an interview there and I agree with what he said "Talented individuals don't make a team".

Moussa and Gini didn't want to play for Newcastle, they saw it as a stepping stone and only put in the performances when it suited them (rarely). Compare this to Janmaat who left for Watford, he wanted to play in the PL but put effort in the Championship whilst still a Newcastle player.

We got rid of a lot of players but a lot was deadwood:

Sylvain Marveaux, Gabriel Obertan, Steven Taylor, Remy Cabella, Andros Townsend, Fabricio Coloccini, Papiss Cisse, Gini Wijnaldum, Daryl Janmaat, Gael Bigirimana, Moussa Sissoko.

Of those I'd really keep Townsend, Janmaat and maybe Cisse. Colo had long lost interest in Newcastle and disappeared 'injured' when things were going tits up.

Considering we've brought in:
Matz Sels, Matt Ritchie, Dwight Gayle, Jesus Gamez, Isaac Hayden, Grant Hanley, Ciaran Clark, Mohamed Diame, DeAndre Yedlin, Daryl Murphy, Achraf Lazaar, Christian Atsu.

All in all a great window for us.

Loving this season so far. Lots of "buying the league" accusations but I would disagree. Villa spent a similar amount and look where they're at.

If Manchester United don't atleast make it out of this round Europas I'm so done. We deserve everything we get with splashing money around like we did but United could atleast tease me a bit before they shatter my heart.

Would rather they just send out the youth fuck the europa league

I agree but to lose in the first round would be sad. Loved that we started Rashford though and I much prefer Schneiderlin and Darmian to start than Fellaini and Valcencia (even if he is having a good season). Liked the Depay appearance also, even if he is overpaid and has done fuck all since he has been here.

Well that's Sam gone then. Sort of wanted him to pull out the John Higgins "I just agreed with what they said to get out of there" manoeuvre and fight the claims some more but c'est la vie.

"It was my mistake!" a mistake is accidentally writing duck instead of fuck or something.

He's always been a crook. You can tell just by looking at the guy. Having the same nickname as a stereotypical 1960's gangster didn't really help that image, to be honest. Now it's his career that's sleeping with the fishes.

Additionally, Southgate is taking over for the foreseeable future. Shame england won't be qualifying for the world cup then...

Can someone explain what the deal is with Allardyce? I'd read it myself but I dont what support scummy under cover journalism. Like why the fuck would you make an effort to fuck over your own national team?

He didn't really, as far as I know. The crux of it, to my knowledge, is that he said he would be able to circumvent the rules to bringing players through or to the country. I could be wrong though.

In other news, the second half of the Celtic game is about to kick off. Come on you boys in green!

I knew we would go down to Chelsea but to lose by 4 is pretty hectic. Pretty funny that our own fans are writing us off already considering the hardest part for the year would be the chemistry and obviously that will come by the end of the season. Wouldn't mind Martial starting permanently though. Also I feel for Mata, sure his defense is meh but offensively he has just done so much since coming to United and gets 0 credit for anything. Most of our goals seem to involve him at some stage in the play.
