To be honest, if the owner has successfully brought the club into the Premier League; then he should be able to call the club what he wants. If I was a Hull City fan then I'm not changing what I call them so I'm not sure it's a massive deal.

If there are actual benefits attached then I honestly think it's a no-brainer. However, that is how I feel. If the Hull City fans are outraged then it shouldn't happen.

He may own the club but it doesn't belong to him. It belongs to the city and the fans, they'll still be there when he sells up and without them, it ceases to exist.

Ultimately it's just a name. The Stoke Potters (thankfully because of that name and our location we'll escape rebranding) would still be Stoke City to me. But yeah, it's just stupid, innit.
