Domestic football - spam version

Jose Enrique Twitter quote, July 25th 2011:
"The club is allowing all the major players of the team to go. Seriously, do you think it is the fault of the players? This club will never again fight to be among the top 6 again with this policy.'

He has a point. I'm afraid of the off-season and seeing what that fat prick does with the club during the summer when he's bored.

Must be horrible for City, I mean, they steamroll everybody, but still cant break clear of that team that everybody say's has had it, has no depth, its star players are too old and will get found out eventually. Now they've dropped behind, like so many others before them.

I bet on United to win the League at the begginning of the season, dont like em' (except for that wonderfull Paul Scholes of course) but a bet on them is near as safe as houses. I guess winning is habitual. Hmm, watch them throw it away now I've said that.

City could be 8 points behind United before they play Arsenal away. United do have a poor record away at Blackburn though so I'm not taking anything for granted, especially if United are going to continue to overdo the short passes in the 18 yard box instead of someone just fucking wellying it.

Like last season, United haven't looked as strong as they once did nor played as well as they could/should, but they're getting the results they need.

Several things contributed to Liverpool's downfall today

- KK deciding to play a ridiculous 4-3-3 with Gerrard deployed the same way as he is when he and Lampard are in the same England team
- Carroll deciding to drop like a stone rather than rolling the ball into an empty net after beating the entire Newcastle back line and the keeper
- deadly finishing from Cisse
- Simpson getting away with handball on the line, which should have been a pen and a red card
- the linesman missing that Cisse was three yards offside for his second goal
- Liverpool being shite

Bad signs when your captain tells you to get off the pitch and you're manager.

Title race over now? Or a surprise along the way?

Nah, not over by a long shot. United hardly ever do things the easy way. I've always thought that if we can have a 4+ point gap over them leading up to the derby, then we'll probably get the title.

Blackburn were tough to break down, coupled with a right-sided heavy offense and tonight was quite a nervy affair. The zip and intensity was lacking for too much of the game and could cause an upset for us in the run-in, like against Swansea for instance.

Remember when Liverpool were in the title race. Remember when Newcastle were going to get relegated?

Why Lawrenson is still a pundit confuses me. He seems so negative about, well, everything tied with the game. His commentary can be quite funny though.

Does anyone else miss Andy Gray, commentary wise? He did speak a lot of shite but had good back-and-forths with Tyler.
