So if Liverpool beat Everton then it's 6th place also with a Europe spot.

OK rep for the person who gets this right:

189 is the number of wins Sunderland need to....what?

Jose Enrique Twitter quote, July 25th 2011:
"The club is allowing all the major players of the team to go. Seriously, do you think it is the fault of the players? This club will never again fight to be among the top 6 again with this policy.'

Premier League table, March 26th 2012:

Pos Team Played GD Pts
1 Manchester United 30 47 73
2 Manchester City 30 50 70
3 Arsenal 30 22 58
4 Spurs 30 18 55
5 Chelsea 30 15 50
6 Newcastle 30 2 50
7 Liverpool 30 5 42

Its incredible that a team in 7th place with just 8 games to go until the end of the season has only 2 more points than what is normally the number you need to JUST avoid relegation.

You read too much into this. There are still 24 points to play for. Getting half of them like an average side in 7th should be able to, they get to 54 points which is just about right for an average team in 7th.

Liverpool have been terrible this season. Enrique has been one of the culprits because he has been inconsistent defensively and done nothing going forward. It's the Downing buy that gets me, just too much and hes been abysmal for his fee.

We should be lower but we beat Chelsea and Arsenal, which helps.

Absolutely gutted by the news. Petrov's one of my favorite players, and is one of the few players that makes being a Villa fan bearable in recent times. Fantastic player, great captain, always gives his all on the pitch, he'll be sorely missed from the team. But his health and wellbeing is far more important, and hopefully he beats this and makes a full recovery.

Must be horrible for City, I mean, they steamroll everybody, but still cant break clear of that team that everybody say's has had it, has no depth, its star players are too old and will get found out eventually. Now they've dropped behind, like so many others before them.

I bet on United to win the League at the begginning of the season, dont like em' (except for that wonderfull Paul Scholes of course) but a bet on them is near as safe as houses. I guess winning is habitual. Hmm, watch them throw it away now I've said that.
