Dolph's little brother got the boot. Why TNA should care

I just read about how Dolph Zigglers biological brother Ryan Nemeth had been released by WWE. He was NXT superstar Briley Pierce. I personally didn't mind Briley. But Imagine how much TNA could make an impact (no pun intended) by simply scooping him up and making him "Briley Ziggler". Have him say "you may know my biological brother in that other company, but im here in TNA and I am the better brother." And if he can become the superstar his brother is that could really be a thorn in the side of the WWE.

Or does this just sound like a shot in the dark?

While I kind of like the idea, I don't think TNA want to promote traffic to WWE, and WWE likewise. I wouldn't be surprised if there would be some sort of legal issue if TNA did that anyway. That being said, it certainly would be interesting to see the 2 brothers on different shows; a little like Bret Hart in WCW and Owen in WWF, although not on such a large scale. I think TNA should perhaps consider Ryan, but not go out of their way in order to recruit him.

Ziggles has come out on his Twitter saying about how he was told by several WWE workers how good his brother was, and is disappointed that he has been released.

TNA may as well look at these NXT talents that have been released, so see if there is any potential stars among them, it would be foolish for them not to do so. Every wrestling company needs new talent on a regular basis so it makes sense for TNA to have a look at guys like Pierce to see what they have to offer.

While TNA might benefit from it I don't think Briley would go along with it for long. To be quite honest if it got TNA any publicity, it would likely damage Dolphs push and he can't afford to get pushed back again.

Nemeth is a cool-sounding name. I wouldn't go with li'l bro Ziggler, because Nemeth is such a cool name. Dixie also wants to do that crossover thing with the WWE, so it wouldn't be wise to poke the bear.

All else fails, he could adopt a temporary stutter and stammer claiming to be The Nemeth... The Nemethith.

TNA would be foolish not to at least take a look at some of these released talents, including Nemeth, AKA Briley Pierce. TNA might spot a diamond in the rough that WWE simply didn't see.

However, in my opinion, it'd be a waste of time and energy to scoop up Nemeth just for the sake of, metaphorically speaking, hoping that they can somehow stick it to WWE. Nemeth has only been wrestling since 2010 and has literally spent his entire career working in either OVW or in WWE developmental. The fact that he's Dolph Ziggler's little brother is pretty much the only thing resembling extraordinary that he can lay claim to. Aside from being Ziggler's little brother, Nemeth has no reputation of his own.

If TNA were to scoop up Nemeth, I highly doubt he'd be put on the main roster immediately. Aside from causing animosity between Nemeth and other young wrestlers in TNA's developmental program, some of whom have most certainly paid dues, it'd be seen as a weak & transparent attempt to try to, as I said earlier, stick it to WWE. TNA probably wouldn't be doing Nemeth any favors in the long run either. If TNA ultimately wants to ascend to another level, one thing they shouldn't do is worry about what WWE does just for the sake of being able to say they took a cast off and made him a star. If TNA signs him and can make him a star, more power to 'em, but it'd be an empty & fruitless gesture to have Nemeth debut to compare himself to his brother, especially if he really isn't as talented as his brother and people are able to clearly see it.

If TNA signs him, they're better off letting him do his own thing and develop his own personality rather than simply have him as Dolph Ziggler's baby brother intending to step out of his older, more accomplished brother's shadow. WWE did that with Owen Hart and while it did lead to some great moments between himself & Bret Hart, Owen will still always be remembered as Bret Hart's little brother and was never able to step out of his shadow. While it's true that it wouldn't be exactly the same scenario as both men would be in different companies, but that means that TNA would really try to follow through and just hope that he has the stuff. Otherwise, he'll always be Ziggler's little bro and he'll be saddled with it for the rest of his career.
