Dark Match Winner
Former 'Big Brother' star Jessie Godderz a.k.a Mr. Pec-Tacular just signed a deal with TNA Wrestling -- and TMZ has learned the company is hopeful he'll debut on TV by the end of the year.

For those unfamiliar, Godderz was the professional body builder on "Big Brother" Seasons 10 and 11... and has been training to become a professional wrestler ever since leaving the house.According to multiple sources, Jesse has signed a developmental contract with TNA Impact Wrestling that runs through the rest of 2011 -- and the company hopes to get him on TV in the next few months.TMZ spoke to Jesse who tells us he's been "training with TNA wrestler Bully Ray at his facility in Florida" ever since signing the deal ... and is hopeful he'll get an opportunity to mix it up in the ring with Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle in the near future.

I like this signing. He can talk, has charisma, been trained for a bit and isnt a WWE retread.

What does everyone else think? Can he become a player in the wrestling scene or just another flash in the pan?

I can't say if he'll be good OR bad. I'm not too impressed from what I've seen aside from his look, mild charisma and acceptable mic skills, but you never know. We'll see what happens.

:banghead: I know big-time wrestling companies like this sort of thing, this sort of celebrity involvement, but I really don't. If he really wants to be a pro-wrestler, let him work the indies for a few years. He's done nothing to deserve a spot in TNA.

I thought wrestling matters. I doubt this guy will be a good wrestler but we'll soon find out. Like the op said atleast he isn't a WWE retread but never the less this doesn't mean he'll be a good signing.

I don't think its a good signing by no means, its not terrible but they can do ALOT better than that.

I don't want to sell the guy short yet but the only person I can think that made who came from a reality show was the Miz and that had a lot more to do with the effort of the Miz than it did on WWE trying to capitalize on his fame from the Real World.

Personally I don't care for it at all, and I certainly wouldn't call the signing good (at best I would call it mediocre). Most likely he has a few mediocre matches, some OK mic time and ultimately will be future endeavored, I could be wrong but personally I think that's where its heading.

I don't know what to think of him yet.If he has charisma has the will to get better then who I am to say he doesn't derserve a spot?I don't think TNA should strap a rocket on his back out of the box though. They say it's a plus that he's not a WWE retread but that sort of thing never bothered me.Don't know why it does others but that's what it is.I guess people are quick to label an ex WWE star" washed up" or a "has been ".Anyway if he makes the best of this opportunity then it that would pay off in the future.

This tna version of The Miz and they just can't be original

Have you ever heard of Matt Morgan? Rico? Magnus? All found fame due to Gladiators. 'Reality' TV stars predate the Miz and (unlike most Indie guys) they have experience of cutting promos and in today's wrestling environment, character is a stronger starting position than actual wrestling ability, which can (generally) be brought on.

He worked in FCW for 1 year, Indies for 6 months, worked in Developmental for 2 years.

How hasn't he deserved a spot? Just because you haven't seen him wrestle? Come on now.

Are they trying to create TNA's version of the Miz? Just wondering. Never heard of this guy, but, that's because I'd rather vomit out of both ends than watch reality T.V. shows. I just hope they make him pay his dues, at least just a little, before they give him a major push.

Jesse is EXTREMELY stuck on himself. Remember the Nacissist Lex Luger gimmick, or even now Dashing Cody Rhodes. That's Jesse for for real. He can be funny as he showed in BB and he's got a LOT of charisma, but for any girl that ever has a crush on him or is in love with him, she will always have to compete with him being in love with himself first. lol

Oh boy another reality star!! Cant wait to see this go down in flames Mr Pecs should be entertaining to say the least!! Good for him if hes been training but why does he exactly derserve a spot in TNA?? Who is this clown? I thought wrestling mattered thats why TNA is gonna go down in flames they keep pulling stunts like this!! Spike is dropping them pretty soon there not going to have a leg to stand on!!

FCW isn't worth squat. I'm pretty sure that's why Triple H is taking over the developmental system. And I feel for him, doing six months on the indies. Because that's really putting in your time and working to make the Big Two.

Really? Cena started training to become a wrestler in 2000. He debuted in 2002 with WWE.

This guy has the same exact time under his belt thus far. Quit acting like everyone has to be a ROH, Dragon Gate or PWG wrestler to make it in the business.

And I'd have said the same thing back then.

I'm not saying that at all. I'm just saying pay your dues, learn the craft and show that you can work for your dream. Godderz pretty much did six month on the indies and trained with Bully Ray for a couple of years, along with that year in FCW. That's a certain amount of hard work and I give him props for that, but it's not really the same level of dedication that most active wrestlers have shown before making it to the big time. I guess I'm just a person who likes the Young Lions/Indies/Territorial concept, where you get around, pay your dues and hone your craft and learn.

Unfortunately that concept seems to be dead in the water. Most guys don't want to be stuck in the indies for 5-10 years.

What would you do if you were in Godderz's shoes? You get a shot at the 2nd biggest wrestling company in the US. Would you decline? Hell no, you'll take your chances. It's good money, great exposure and even if they can your ass in half a year you'll be hotter in the indies and be able to make more money (which won't be a lot but it'll be more than before), you would've learned a thing or two and your chances with the WWE would be a bit bigger. That's what he does. More power to him.

Plus, if wrestling doesn't work out, with a look like that he'd set the gay porn world on fire.

True enough.

True. If I was in his shoes I'd take it.

That go a snort.

Exactly. It seems like anyone TNA brings in that doesn't have the indy cred starts behind the 8-Ball with a lot of fans on the internet. First Jessie Neal, then Crimson, Gunner and now this guy.

I remember seeing this guy in some Canadian promotion and thought he had something about him. He really stood out from the few episodes I watched, but he wasn't really surrounded by any stars so it might be different for him in TNA.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on and hopefully he can be a success like recent newcomers Gunner and Crimson.
