Does ECW need more titles?

Honestly I don't think that would help make the brand more interesting to anyone.

I think original ECW fans tuned into the first few episodes, then turned the show off and haven't thought much about it since. (Thats me)

People who are watching are probably fairly content with the show as is.

Yes. Is it gonna get people to tune in? Most likely not. But its silly to have one belt. And that is just only the beginning of what needs fixing. But lets get more belts in there and maybe some of the "extremist" would start to show more of an effort.

Yeah- TNA's only on for an hour and they have more than one belt. There's just so little for people to compete for or aim for- there's only a few contenders for the ECW belt, so what are the others even there for? It's not gonna make the show any better though- just maybe make some of the talent roster a little happier.

The question is whether or not ECW has a sufficient amount of talent to carry extra titles. Possibly one, a TV title, but I doubt their capabilities would allow them the option of extending the gold on the show to four belts, including the tag titles. I believe that new talent is needed fast, though the news posted on WZ said that WWE HQ has put a hold on all expectant OVW/DSW talent. Give ECW some of these guys who are looking for a break, add titles, and it may become an interest again. Otherwise, scrap a project which was, at best, optimistic, as I believe the WWE new all along that to recreate the low budget, high action atmosphere of ECW was near-impossible. To borrow a line in Vince, to not add championships and wrestlers, would give ECW "No Chance in Hell."

The Elijah Burke/Sylvester Terkay connection could be the start of a tag-team division there. But they need a second tier and something to define them for a third singles title. (a la Women's Title for RAW and Cruiser weight for Smackdown) They may bring back the idea of the TV title for second Tier. but that would hamper the growth. It should grow Naturally in terms of titles. with the Tag coming in next, then second tier and then specialised, possibly the Hardcore belt.

No they should'nt get more title's. WWE does'nt manage the title's right on Raw and Smackdown. One of the thing's that ECW is doing right is making the World Title important, they should keep it at one title and try to make that as imprortant as possible.

Bring back the True Three Way Dance!!! if you get pinned or submit you are eliminated not this one pin and it's done gives the champ more to fight for and it means more if the champ can hold on as for more titles I say yes a tag team and bring in the Hardys and MNM , let them defend the titles against any team in the WWE just like ECW of the past did and they were doing with the ECW WOrld title make it a once a month thing
bring in someone to challange the champ and try to take the title with them back to thier brand. that means even in OVW and DSW let them be known as wwe entities.

They need to bring back the TV Title. When RVD had his 1 year run with that title in the old ECW it was getting just as much of a push as the World ttile was.
And remember that title has to be defended every week not every 30 days.
That title could look good around the waist of CM Punk or maybe Test.

Why have tag titles in ECW without much tag team usage in the first place? Sure tag teams can be put together to utilize others but before WWE even considers giving them a title to compete for, shouldn't they first be wiling to use the teams and? If teams aren't even being given matches just for entertainment purposes, then what's the rationality in giving a title to compete for?

Honestly a t.v. title makes more sense than a tag team one based on what I just said. However it's still not absolutely necessary at the moment. Eventually that may change.

TNA is also literally a seperate company that needs to do that in order to be established AND help out a large roster. "ECW" has a smaller roster than TNA but is part of a major company and doesn't have to resort to that in order to keep the program going.

Since when were belts the only reason for contention? They can help for entertainment purposes by providing a reason behind a match of feud, but so can many other things. Prior to the creation of the third brand (where belts aren't easily attainable since there is only one) just about everyone on Raw and Smackdown received at least title within a couple of years in most cases. With winning titles being less of a rarity in modern times, what's the point in creating more and more and making some resumes even more overflowed at a point where it's not as much of an accomplishment to actually be a champ since so many others get the opporunity as well?

I understand the desire for another ECW title or two but having them simply to "give others something to do" doesn't really say much considering that there are other options as well for each of those wrestlers.

i dont see any tag titles being useful because the only possible tag team is rvd and sabu. they need the tv title back. give it to cm punk give him a good run. have him fued with test and they should trade the title a couple and possibly a way for cm punk to win the ecw world title like how orton won the world heavyweight title. lose the title and then go in a battle royal and win and at the next ppv win the title

Honestly I think ecw should only have 1 title I find it much more interesting seeing more superstars compete for the title then just a few superstars competing for all who agrees with me?

WWE is asking on ECW.com if they should bring in more gold for WWECW. The TV title is in the lead with Tag team at second. The options are
-Yes. Tag team titles
-Bring back the ECW TV Title
-The ECW World Title is more than enough
-Extremists should capture WWE gold.

Please, I get so sick and tired of people talking about this stuff and I think the obvious answer is that NO they do not need any more titles. It is a one hour show with a very small roster, and even smaller competition. I don't think much fuss should be made over ECW. The WWE doesn't have the roster to cover this brand as it is. To add more titles would mean more people in this worthless brand, and I don't think the WWE really want to do anything like this to it. The ECW world title is already enough to have on this show, and most on here hate ECW, so it is beyond me why anyone would think it is possible and would make it more interesting. The only way to do it would to bring back the old ECW, and with Heyman gone and Vince in full charge of this, I don't think we are going to see much of that.

TNA can have the X-Division, Tag Team, and NWA titles, because they are not three different brands like the WWE is. They have the ability to concentrate on titles, and don't neglect what happens on their show like the WWE is doing with ECW. I hope, if anything, that the WWE drop this name to avoid people complaining that it has destroyed the legacy of ECW. Or better yet, instead of waiting for it to rot, why can't they kill it off now?

Im just letting people know if they didn't already about this poll that they have on that site. I know that everyone wants WWECW to die but it hasn't been a complete year yet for the Brand. Once ONS 3 has been then you can decide whether the product has declined or risen since D2D PPV. I think it is a good thing that they are actually asking the fans what title should be brought back because it could lead to an increase in the quality of the Product. A TV title would be good because you would see people like CM Punk, Kevin Thorne, Matt Striker and Balls Mahoney actually go after something that has to be defended on TV every week this could be the catalyst for the increase in quality that WWECW needs.

Sorry I just had to have a bit of a Rant there.

yeha they deffinetly need to bring the TV title back b/c having every ECW on Sci Fi focus around Lashley and the world title is getting old. Have Dreamer or Sandman actually go for the title instead of facing Striker or Davari every week. Having the TV title would give guys like Kevin Thorn and CM Punk the championship status they should of had already

I think that if WWE wants to keep ECW alive, they'll make it a 2 hour show and add the TV title. WWE doesn't really seem to interested in ECW, and I wonder why they have it in the first place. I say either kill it or make it 2 hours and add titles.

I say move the Cruiserweights and the CW Title to ECW and finally allow them(Helms,Yang,London,Kendrick,Noble,Guerrero, and even Mysterio when he returns) to do what they do best. If WWE actually did this, they just might give TNA a run for their money w/ an X(treme) Division of their own. This would also add interest in the ECW product.

As far as a secondary title to the ECW World title, I like the TV Title idea a lot. One reason is b/c it would allow them to not have too many World Title matches on free tv; they could actually save those for ppv. That would help someone like Lashley get over as ECW champ. Imagine him come out for a short segment against his upcoming challenger where they would both get in a few moves before being separated and then don't have an official match until the ppv. Basically they would be doing what they did with Hogan during the 80's and early 90's in keeping most of his matches at special events(ppvs, saturday night's main event).

lol u ppl just dont get what vince is doing with ECW.....hes just trieing to get some new talent up from OVW and all them little promotions to make them into big name players for Raw and SD!.....This show is nothing more then a glorified sunday night heat........vince is not dumb enough to make extreme rules matches and risk his new young talented wrestlers with a dumb injury cuz he did sum dumbass move or sumthing.......bottom line is all ECW is, is a bunch of young talented wrestlers waiting in the wings with a couple half way decent veterans competiong for the heavyweight title.......Vince should just cuz every ECW original and just make it wat it really is......TUesday night Thunder
