Do We Overlook Brock Lesnar's Recklessness?

The difference between the two is Foley was accepting the punishment unto himself. Lesnar is putting other people at risk by trying to make pro wrestling seem "legitimate" as you put it. The one rule in pro wrestling is to always keep your opponent safe. You can't just throw that rule out the window because you get carried away with what people who don't watch the product think.

Which implies that he's doing it on purpose which is even worse. If you can't protect your opponent you shouldn't be wrestling, period.

It's one thing to go into a match expecting to be hurt from a botched move or fluke incident. It's a completely different thing to go into a match and get dropped on your head 12 times in the name of "reality" in a scripted sport.

Are you implying WWE should release Brock Lesnar? They have a little more sense than that. He is their biggest draw, and when he's in the ring, the energy and atmosphere is different and electric. Perhaps, he's a bit reckless in the ring, but he should be. It's best for business, so to speak.

I'm not implying anything. I'm saying that Brock should protect his opponents, or at least try, and if he can't do that, than he shouldn't be in the ring. No he shouldn't be reckless... that's a ludicrous statement... all it takes is one bad suplex to Rollins at BG and his career could end, as could anybody else's that steps in the ring with Brock.

Look, I'm as enamored with Brock Lesnar as the next guy. The point remains; he doesn't have to hurt people to garner a reaction or "draw". A safer Brock Lesnar would be just as impactful, perhaps more so, than a reckless one.

And it's okay for another wrestler to deliberately go around injuring other wrestlers, especially a part time wrestler? How is Lesnar injuring people, and throwing bits and pieces of cars into the audience, good for business?

Now I know he didn't mean for that car door to go flying the way it did, and I'm sure he wasn't expecting for a fan to get involved. But when you're as strong as he is, heaving shit like that into or near the audience is a dangerous thing. Thankfully the person that got hit with whatever flew off the door was able to return to their seat, but that could have been a lot worse. And it's not the first time Lesnar has reportedly hit fans with flying objects.

Like someone else said, he has to tone it down a little, before someone gets really hurt and costs the WWE a fortune.

He's not deliberately injuring other wrestlers. Who has Brock Lesnar injured? Undertaker was 50 and Jamie Noble was 39. You shouldn't be taking bumps at that age anyway.

Besides, I'm pretty sure he was told to throw the car door as hard as he could. Blame that on WWE.

Point is, Brock Lesnar brings intensity and excitement. If he tones it down a little, then WWE won't be near as exciting when he is around, which will lead to more complaints.

I think the IWC, and WWE, does overlook his recklessness. It makes him look more like a beast, no pun intended. It's similar to how Vader came across as being so devastating.

Really. Didn't he break HHH's arm at Summerslam? I've read reports that he snapped it like it was a twig. Also isn't he the one who punched John Cena so hard his face was busted wide open, and Lesnar hasn't thrown a punch to anyone's face to this day? And Lesnar is the guy who when fighting with Kurt Angle, re-injured Angle's neck? Add that to the breaking of Jamie Nobles ribs and what the did to J&J Security the other night. I know there have been other's but I can't remember them off the top of my head. Something tells me Big Show was another one.

Not only wrestler's have suffered real injuries at the hands of Lesnar. He apparently threw a monitor that went bouncing into the audience a couple of years go, and either hit a small boy or a woman in the face. Follow that up with flinging a car door almost into the audience last week. A piece of that flew off and did hit someone.

No one is saying Lesnar should be let go, or stop wrestling, so you can calm down right now. All people are saying is he should tone it down a little. If you have a problem with that, then maybe you should get in the ring for a few minutes with Lesnar and let's see how you feel afterwards. What you want is for him to be as brutal as possible, and who gives a shit who gets hurt. And that's a load of crap.

He might bring intensity to the ring, but he also brings an ambulance to pick up his opponents afterwards. Oh and it's not the WWE's fault that he fired that car door the way he did. If he can't control what's he doing, then that's his problem. What he shouldn't be doing is making it someone else's problem
