Do screwing things just for shock value good?

i mean look at jack swagger, they could have definetly bulid him as the ultimate heel and could allowed him to cashed his money in the bank two or three months later. But just for shock value they have made him a weak champion or atleast a champion who is not completely over with the fans. This has been done just for the shock value. Many will critisize me but i think they just didn't drafted randy orton to smackdown because it would be predictable after his match with swagger. So what r ur thoughts, screwing things just for shock value good?

I've got no problem with what they've done with Jack Swagger. As I said in a similar post, the WWE just can't seem to win over internet fans no matter what it does. People complain about wrestling being too predictable and whenever something unpredictable happens, if anything, they complain even more.

Swagger was booked to appear to be a vulnerable champion rather than some dominant monster and it's made him interesting to look at. The only loss that Swagger hasn't avenged since he won the title has been against The Undertaker as he's had two clean wins over John Morrison and beat Randy Orton clean at Extreme Rules. As I said, he was booked as a vulnerable champion, but I don't agree with him looking weak. Swagger has looked strong in every match he's had as champion, he looked like a legitimate competitor even if he did lose the match.

As for him not being over with the crowd, I don't know what shows you've been watching because Swagger gets some really good heat from the fans whenever he comes out to a match or cuts a promo. If Swagger wasn't over, there'd be a lot of dead air when he came out to the ring and there isn't.

Hey, anurag, don't ask a question and then bash someone when they answer it. Sounds like you just wanted to spam the board so you could snipe at people who you don't agree with.

As for the post, I agree with Hammer, internet fans are going to complain no matter what. Either wrestling is too predictable or the "right guys" aren't being pushed or Cena's breathing or, when something shocking does happen, it wasn't the right time or it wasn't the right person. That's why I agree with the general consensus that the wrestling industry is moving on without listening to the smarky fans who complain about everything, who presume to tell their favorite organizations how they should run and who the champions should be.

And, on the last point you mentioned, Swagger's heat with the crowd is actually really good. From what I've read about tonight's show, the heat is almost deafening. Hammer's right, he's over with the crowd and he's a vulnerable heel champion that manages to still get the job done. I like Swagger as champion.

Oh really what u think if he lose the belt next week he will get the heat.A big NO.

Well, since I can't predict the future anymore than you can, I guess I'll just have to waist and see what I'll think IF, I repeat, IF Jack Swagger drops the World Heavyweight Championship next week. Your problem is that you'd rather just simply hate on Swagger instead of giving him a chance and see ultimately what kind of champion he'll become.

Is screwing things just for shock value good? Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no. Whether good or bad, the result will always end in us, the fans, talking. That is not a bad thing. That's a good thing.

What I don't get is how people seem to turn on the wrestlers. For months I heard nothing but how great Swagger was and they can't wait to see him go to SmackDown and be the great wrestlers he is and blah blah blah. Well he wins MITB and almost instantly people started to hate him saying it wasn't his time or it's not the right way or whatever bs excuse they could use. Once again it's just the interent community complaining about something they can't change and if they couldn't would probably screw it up even more.

Anyway I think some shock value is good but too much and it turns into an episode on NITRO where they are doing it just for hte shock value with no real payoff. When it comes to that then it doesn't work but if done right (and I do believe that Swagger was done right as I actually fell out of my chair reading the news that he won the title, which is something I didn't do all the other times) then it can work perfectly for the company and those involved.

look i'll be the first to admit i didnt like it when SWAGGER won MITB or the WHC because it pissed me off because like a month or two earlier SANTINO was embarsing him and plus i wanted CHRISTIAN to win. but since he won the WHC hes been putting on GREAT matches with ORTON, JOMO, and ESPICALLY UNDETAKER on RAW great match so can shock value be good YES SWAGGER'S proof onnly if it is not overused

Im confused about your question anurag. Is English your first language? If not, i apologize and mean no disrespect. But what does "Do screwing things just for shock value good? " mean? Anyway, I think Swagger's title win and run thus far has been fairly decent. I agree with Hammer about him getting pretty good heat from the crowd. I also dont think he's being booked as "weak", but as your typical heel. Can you also clarify your question about if he loses the belt next week?

Do you think sscerwing things for shock value is good..........for wwe or for us fans? Well if its wwe will its obviously good, did u tunr for smackdown the week after Swagger beacme champ to see what hes gonna do, did u see the draft to see if randy is goin 2 smackdown or not. Yeah its good because now mattter how much people complain about it, we will watch it. Now for thef ans, it doesn't matter we want to wacth wrestling we just need a reason to talk, if there is no shcok we say wrestling is boring n if there is we say whyd the E do that. We just look for reasons to talk, so shock value is good no matter how much u screw it.
