Dixie Carter Making "Major Announcement" Again...

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
@TNADixie:
I will be making a major announcement on IMPACT tomorrow (8/7c) This will change everything for our wrestlers, company & YOU our audience!

Please be IMPACT going on the road full-time...

Please be IMPACT going on the road full-time...

Please be IMPACT going on the road full-time...

There is a link on the main page that says thats the goal for this year. Obviously that is the next big step for tna. Hell outside of going to 3 hours or changing the air day i don't know what other major announcements are left. TNA's product has been going up for about the last two years and now it looks like there management seems to be following.

iMPACT being on the road would be the best announcement I could think of. I'm not sure how that fits together with their lighter schedule but...

Dixie often promises BIG announcements and theyre not actually that big like the Alamodome announcement where actually they weren't using a huge stadium they were converting it to an arena for the night

Yeah, I live an hour an a half away from Orlando, and I've yet to go see TNA live. The crowd is what makes me not want to go. I spoke with a few people who came into my old work (Mobile), and they weren't even wrestling fans. They had no clue what was going on, it just made my interest go down the drain. There reason for going into the iMPACT Zone! was that it 'was free'. So yeah, I'd rather TNA go on the road or just try to relocate to an area with a bigger wrestling crowd.

Thing is, they don't even need to go to "large" venues. Just the idea of getting out into natural live wrestling audiences is enough to warrant the move. They can retain the light schedule that helped lure them guys like Angle, Hardy, RVD, etc. and still evolve as the company should be doing by putting on more shows like the old territories used to function under. You can even still base the entire organization out of Orlando, or Florida, but start doing a lot more touring in the South East — Atlanta, Nashville, the state of Kentucky, etc.

Well at least there's one thing we can say for sure, and that is that there's sure to be an announcement of epic proportions tomorrow night. I mean, Dixie has promised such drama by way of twitter, and she'd never just blow smoke out of her ass and promise the fans something monumental, then fail to deliver on such a promise. There's no history of her ever doing that before. I look forward to bring blown completely away by whatever Dixie is promising. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

True. I'm all for one with the lighter schedule and I know it's a positive for TNA to sign wrestlers. I know it can be debated, but it is a positive for them.

The thing is, I've seen plenty of people who actually watched TNA from the iMPACT Zone and it was the same response. The good old 'it was free, blah blah blah'. I don't post much, but I do like to talk wrestling with people. When I asked the customers and started talking wrestling, they've basically looked at me like 'WTF are you talking about.'

That to me, is the only reason they need to leave the iMPACT Zone. Hell, IDR, I talked to a dude I used to work with. HUGE, WWE fan. I would tell him TNA is better. The main reason why he couldn't watch is because of the crowd. Yup, the freakin crowd.

WcW had it right where they were based out of. They toured, but had a great location for when they didn't travel. That is all TNA needs. A better home base. The iMPACT Zone is nothing more than an attraction that barely draws viewers. The dedicate iMPACT Zone maniac's are the ones with year round Disney passes.

Can you blame him, honestly? The crowd makes TNA look like they're filming in a suped up high school gym. I complain weekly when I can hear a single girl scream that she loves Jeff Hardy from a few rows back when he's cutting a promo.

I can only imagine how badly some of the TNA wrestlers want this, if for nothing else but to get real reactions out of the audience again on a weekly basis.

It's probably going to be them going out on the road more. That would be cool, because I'm sure they'll film an Impact or two around my way here in Pittsburgh. I'd totally be there for that.

What if it's some other shit, though... Rampage Jackson's UFC contract ran out last week, and he's made it abundantly clear he's not going back to the UFC. Maybe it's an announcement that they've signed Rampage to a King Mo like deal with Impact/Bellator.

Right on schedule, habs. Like a trained monkey.

I can't hardly wait...There are multiple things they could do, I am just holding my breath on any of them. She has done this so many times, it is hard to not roll your eyes and go yeah right.

But touring permanently would help, the impact zone is too small and makes them look like an indy fed. Nothing takes away from a good moment like a bad crowd.

Is taking the show on the road really that big of an announcement ? They already do house shows in VFW halls, high school gyms and retirement centers (kidding, kind of). Why is taking Impact on the road that big of a deal ?

In her recent interview with "The American", she said the company cancelled their monthly PPV's to essentially save money. How much money could they have been spending by putting on a PPV in Orlando at the same place they "go live" from every Thursday ? It's not like they have to truck their equipment across the country, rent an arena, etc... Something is just fishy about that whole thing, IMO.

So, back to the point, if they can't afford monthly PPV's, which actually makes some, albeit not much, how can they logically afford to take a weekly show on the road (based on Dixie's comments) ?

Furthermore, in that interview with "The American", Dixie said the company was close to making a "major announcement" and then elaborated on her desire to take the show on the road. So, she essentially already made THAT announcement. If that's what it actually is tonight, it's not really big any longer.

My long shot prediction is that there's some former, bigger name WWE star who has signed with the company. Truthfully, I'm not sure who it could be, but that's just my hunch. I'll guarantee that I'm wrong, but what if I'm right ?

I'd go to IMPACT LIVE if they did shows in Evansville. I would love it, actually. They can even sell tickets! GASP!
