Diva's Promo on Smackdown! Last Night...

On Smackdown!, Lay-Cool came out and they started rambling on about how they are "flawless" and refuse to be in the tables match on Sunday. Then Natalya and Beth come to the ring with a little "present" for Lay-Cool. They bring out a personalized table with a picture of Lay-Cool in witch form. The two teams start to insult eachother (Mostly Lay-Cool insulting Beth) and finally start to brawl. It ended with Beth and Natalya almost putting Layla through the table with Michelle making the save.

I actually enjoyed this segment. It was a good way to head into the match this Sunday. I enjoy the Diva's Division so it's not hard for me to get amused by one of their promos, but what did you guys think? It was better than most of the 2 minute matches we get nowadays. This was around 6 or 7 minutes. Are you guys excited heading into their Tables match at TLC this Sunday? Do you want to see more promos like this?

Discuss.

If the Divas they actually give mic time too had mic skills, then yes. I would love to have Diva promos. Layla is good at screaming and being a complete idiot, but the other 3 in that segment? Good grief. No one cares about any of them because they don't have any charisma. They even had to dub in a laugh track.

And Layla is going to die because Nattie and Beth don't care about their opponents safety. They care more about prestige and honour. Whatever the fuck that is suppose to be in a fake tv show.

This was a great promo by LayCool(Which isn't hard for Laycool) and it set up a good match for the PPV. If the match at the PPV even gets up to 8 minutes i will be happy. I'm not expecting this to be any MOTY candidate but i hope it will be above any other Diva's match considering all the divas in this one are pretty good wrestlers.

The promo was great and i would love to see LayCool walk out the winners at TLC but they probably won't. I couldn't care less if these promo's are more frequent but i would love to see more gimmick matches for the divas instead of just the same shitty singles matches.

I thought the promo was great! It made me want to see Lay-Cool be put through that witch table! But seriously, It was a great promo we get from the WWE Divas nowadays. People say that the WWE Divas division is going downhill. Hell, even I said that but its starting to shape up. Divas like Melina, Natalya, Beth Phoenix, and Lay-cool are trying to build up the Divas division like Trish Stratus, Ivory, Lita, and Molly Holly did. TLC should be a descent PPV. Can't wait!

In all honesty, there are 4 people who are making the divas worth watching right now, and all of them were involved in that segment.

LayCool is the standard. Though a little stale as of late, they have played their roles perfectly and made the division worth watching. They are the mean bitches that you love to hate. Beautiful, spiteful, angry, and vicious, they are two women that you don't want to mess with, and those who try should expect both emotional and physical pain as a result.

Natalya is our knight in shining armor, a suit of armor specially designed to show off her boobs. After LayCool destroyed diva after diva, finally Natty came along to put an end to their reign of terror. It was a hard fought battle, but Natty had both the physical and mental fortitude to overcome the dastardly duo.

Beth Phoenix is the Little John to Natalya's Robin Hood. Without Little John, Robin Hood is little more than a moral thief, but with Little John by his (her) side, he (she) is the leader of a small army. With Beth Phoenix by her side, Natalya is a force that should be feared by all enemy divas, especially the two that have made war with her.

Yes, this is an overly elaborate way of explaining the Divas Division right now, but it's accurate. We have four extremely talented divas who have managed to put together a very compelling story, and WWE has rewarded them by giving them a tables match at TLC. This is a HUGE DEAL! Tomorrow night, the divas match is not going to be the bathroom break like it usually is, it's going to be a match worth watching.

I enjoyed the promo segment as well. It didn't set new standards for promos or anything like that overall but I do think that it was generally a positive step forward for the WWE Divas as a whole.

How often do the Divas actually have a storyline or feud with any real degree of depth? Almost never. Divas are generally just put into what seem like random, throwaway matches without any real story behind them. What the WWE has done with LayCool, howeer, is different. I'm not saying that I haven't found them extremely annoying at times but I do have to say that at least they've finally given some Divas personality.

The segment last night was kind of revolutionary when you look at what we usually get from the Divas. I thought that both Layla & Michelle McCool did well on the mic and came across more like two mean spirited female bullies that are really into themselves, which does fit the term "Diva" pretty well, rather than a couple of ditzy 12 year old girls. I thought Natalya & Beth Phoenix did alright as the "straight men" here and the painting on the table that they brought out gave me a chuckle. You could legitimately make out some of Layla & Michelle's features in the witches drawn on the table. I also thought it was a great tease by nearly suplexing Layla through the table because, let's face it, we'd all like to see LayCool go through tables for the novelty of seeing a woman put through a table if nothing else.

I Thought the promo was good leading up to there match on TLC, nattie & beth did a great job, but laycool are getting stale to me, layla was great on the mic acting like a total idiot while michelle doesnt really do anything, nattie & beth are definitley the domaint duo here but it seems like laycool is going through a table.
