Fair enough. I would assume, just assuming not saying, you probably enjoy ROH and indy to the WWE then.

Do you honestly think that anyone above the age of 10 really thinks that the Undertaker is floating inthe air? People simply by into it. It's cool to watch a stunt like that, much like it's cool to watch Sting dive from the rafters. It's entertainment, that's all.

The WWE is going back to a more kid friendly program, and this is the new reality. When the WWE went more adult oriented, Taker changed his gimmick to a biker. He stays relevant with the times. It just so happens that Vince is going for PG and over the top again.

I understand that, and I can see kids really enjoying stuff like this... I just don't like them doing this stuff, and trying to pass it off as reality... We know it's fake..I've come to terms with that, but when it's blatantly in my face saying "LOOK HOW FAKE IT ACTUALLY IS" that's what bothers me.

I like to lie to myself sometimes, to try and get into the story...But when they do stuff like this, it's pretty hard to enjoy the show.

Yes, I love ROH compared to the wwe..But that's not saying I hate the wwe..I think Cena vs Batista at Summerslam was an amazing match.

I just don't like being slapped in the face when it comes to reality lol

I'd feel the same way with movies I watch....I tend to turn to realistic characteristics.

Wrestling itself is very fake-looking. It's all about having the ability to suspend your disbelief, or at least no feel insulted. Once you've got over muscly men in tights beating each other up for twenty minutes at a time, it's not much of a leap to accept The Undertaker. I appreciate I started this thread, and his gimmick is silly, but I'm not really bothered about it

I couldn't care less about the storylines either, wich is why more often than not, i won't watch them unless i know the guy involved is a good performer in segments, like HBK and Y2J right now. Excellent fued, you could actually believe that they truly despise one another, but do i feel my intelligence is being insulted when i know they probably head to a bar together after the show? No, i don't.

i watch to see good matches as well, which is what dissapoints me about Santino because he doesn't wrestle for shit, when i know he can really go, based on what i've heard about his OVW work.
I also don't feel my intelligence is insulted when they lie about weights and heights and hometowns either. Mick Foley has apparently come from Long Island and New Mexico and the Undertaker has been billed from Death Valley AND Houston TX, but that's irrelevant to me.

There's a lot of gimmiks i hate. Festus is the worst. I know full well he was the fake Kane not that long ago, but i'm not going on about my intelligence being insulted, so basically A.G. get over it.

alot of people are saying that the undertaker's gimmick is corny because he sais stuff like "i've come for your soul". Don't forget this is entertainment, it's show. After all the wrestling it's still a rock concert/soap opera. You need the characters and you need the over the top acting (soap opera). You need the pyro the music and the costumes (Rock Concert) so at the end of the day the most important thing is the in ring wrestling but that goes hand and hand with the entertainment aspect
