Did Reigns Fail A Drug Test?

Not buying it... however, it is not impossible.

It's quite worrying how WWE seems to have "backed away" from the Wellness Policy being as strict in recent months, to the point there has been serious concern as to why Orton has been off TV for so long... it's not likely, but it is possible that a 3rd Wellness strike has been covered up for him, the guy was off TV for a LONG time.

Where this gets a little more murky is Reigns health and being "on the clock" to get back not only into shape, but into Mania push shape. Again, not likely but entirely possible a "pass" was granted and news has gotten out amongst the boys.

The timing is arguably the most telling thing that makes this bunk IMO... WWE's medical practices have been "under scrutiny" in recent months thanks to CM Punk and their Doc has just announced a lawsuit... so someone has floated an accusation that a Wellness Violation occured... so people look closer at WWE.

Like I said though it IS worrying... we've not heard of a Wellness Suspension for a LONG time... it's almost impossible no one has screwed up in that time, even if it was just a missing script for something... IF WWE are found to have receeded on that Wellness Policy at all, for Orton, Reigns or anyone... bad times ahead.

Does anyone read the articles posted by the Wrestlezone staff writers? Read the rumor killer piece by Mike Killam.

This was posted a long time before that so please kindly fuck off.

Anyways, the rumour has been killed. Reigns did not fail a drug test & remember, this thread was merely posted out of speculation of the scenario.

We all had our doubts about it, myself included.

What exactly is worrying? That they might be keeping suspensions in house(it's none of our business who fails what)? Or the fact just like other sports the wrestlers found a way around the tests? Maybe, just maybe wrestlers got smart and stopped taking things on the suspension list.

BTW if Orton got caught it was a year suspension. He was only gone 4 months.

Now it was already debunked but the RR story was bull from the start. If it was true Bryan beats RR and goes on to Wrestlemania.

They also made that "fudge" rule for RVD, so they could in theory have take one of Randy's strikes off... so if he got another it'd be 60 days... which after the movie he shot is "about right"...

There's more to it than a simple facial injury...

This type of thing is rumoured to be what happens in the English Premier League in soccer too now. A footballer fails a drug test and they report it to the authorities and suspend the guy for a few matches/weeks. The club are allowed cover it up by saying the footballer is injured though and the football authorities go along with that because they know said footballer is a role model for children and so outing him as a drug user might encourage them to take drugs.

I've heard of it happening in the case of two top premier League stars anyway and the same would apply for a guy like Orton or Reigns, not that I'm saying they did fail a drugs test

My point is that WWE were very aggressive in outing people and now that has receded... it's not possible that NO ONE has transgressed since the last one, not even a first strike?

It's long been said that certain guys get "protected" and simply don't have to take the tests. But WWE did set up that new amendment when RVD came back, based on them not being able to stop him smoking in his home as it was now legal there... so after time a strike could be removed... that could be the loophole for an Orton too.. but like I said, if he's then picked up a 2nd, 2nd then he'd be off for 60 days... he did the movie, then has been off 2-3 months... that's a long time for the smalish injury they were rumoring... It's not likely but it's also not impossible. If no one had truly transgressed surely they'd be trumpeting it as a success for the Wellness Policy?

They can also grant a "pass" because part of the WP was always about having the right script. IF Reigns had say taken something too long, as it was linked to a legit medical injury, there might be a pass granted. Again not likely but possible.

Heard of it in the Prem too... it's more the commercial interests than the role model thing, the clubs don't want the bad rep that does with a drugs fail so they agree to keep he player out of training etc for the duration of a ban.

Orton has failed 2 tests and he's still getting strong booking.

If this is true about Reigns, I don't see it impacting his situation that much. It's so close to Wrestlemania, and they've had this main event in mind for quite a while. Could they punish him for it? Absolutely, they could throw the book at Reigns, but he's the guy who's supposed to carry the torch into the next generation (Or so Vince wants).

I'm gonna take it with a grain of salt, but if that is all true, a walkout from Lesnar wouldn't surprise me in the least. I'm going to wait for more official word before I believe anything.
