DiBiase, what the hell?

I see ted costing Orton the title either on purpose or accidentally, keeping Cena on Raw, and eventually having one "Marine" back another in time for a movie release.

yea if they wanna do it old school and progress the storyline they could have ted interfere for orton swing and cena ducks and orton gets whacked with the chair costing orton the title and starting more drama between ted and orton, the only thing i didnt get is why didnt cody come out during all that?

This was taken monday a few hours before DiBiase took the RKO.

I spoke to Sr....At the Mississippi State Fair.....

I stated...I see great things for your son.....

I hated to see Vince screw you over like the other wrestlers that came over from Mid-South/UWF days

I told Ted Sr....that Vince should have had him the World Champ..
I hated that screw job angle where he had Andre beat Hogan for the belt..gove to him and the WWF took it from him

I hated that Hogan came in and hit him with the chair to allow Macho Man to win the World title..............................

I told him that I hope that VINCE DOES NOT FOCK HIS SON OVER!!!!!!!!

The idea of Legacy is a great one. The only thing I never got is why did they get rid of the other two? Every stable has someone that has to grow and the stable is how they did it Orton. He took a rising tag team that has had gold and turned them into lackies. Cody said Orton mad them into main eventers. I disagree He has done nothing but hold them back. You know both their fathers are sick to their stomachs on how their sons are being played. The idea of Teddy turning face is great but Cody needs to turn as well have Teddy talk sence into him. Knowin Orton he will still want lackies which will bring back Sim and Manu.

dam when u guys gonna get it he wont turn face unless cody does they are a team orton likes ted thats why he gave him choice ted said it him self he did wat he thought orton would do by pinnin him a week ago but orton wants cody and ted to b undr him not above that macth was to show where ted lies and its wit legacy !!!

Um, no. They don't need Cody to turn face to get Teddy Jr. over as a face too. In fact, that would probably only hurt Dibiase's face turn.

As for the rest of you, the slow face turn isn't a new concept like some of you are making it out to be. Sometimes some of you guys absolutely amaze me. The slow turn is standard in wrestling, and I guess because the WWE has been rushing everything for the past 4 or 5 years, a lot of you don't realize it. I bet Orton loses this Sunday and Cody tries to save him but can't. Being that Dibiase isn't on the card, he won't be "in attendance" and thus, won't interfere and Orton will be pissed that Teddy didn't come to his rescue, when Cody did. RKO will want to punish Teddy and that will continue to build, and lead up to his face turn in a couple months. It wouldn't surprise me if we don't see RKO vs. Dibiase until 'Mania, and have RKO grooming Cody into his bitch so to speak, and have him do the dirty work until Ted finally wins cleanly over Cody.

Teddy reminds me so much of RKO [looks wise] it's unbelievable. It was only natural to stick him as one of RKO's goons. I'm pretty stoked to see what comes of Ted's face turn, to see what he can do, and possibly, to see a new top face in the company.

Kayfabe wise, yeah Orton is holding them back but in all honestly he's been great for them workers nowadays need help getting over Orton is grooming two future main eventers well maybe just one.

A little off topic, the thing I love about the WWE title match is that nobody really knows what is going to happen that's a good job by the WWE.

I haven't seen RAW yet but from what I've heard it now appears Ted made the beginning of his inevitable face turn last night. Good for him. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing this long anticipated Orton/Dibiase feud and I would hope that they don't rush it, there's still plenty of time for them to show Ted get more and more frustrated with his position in Legacy before finally snapping at Orton.

Of course, that may not happen and they may instead have him screw Orton over at Bragging Rights (although that's not what I'd do). Nonetheless, I'm excited to see where this leads to and I'm also intrigued as to the role Cody Rhodes will play. The way I see it, he will either stay with Orton while he feuds with Dibiase or he could well join Ted when he breaks off from the group (I think this would be a different option as it's something that's not often done with factions. Normally one leaves and then the other...but having both of them leave together would be refreshing in my opinion).

Overall, it should be good to see the tension evolve between Orton and Dibiase (and Legacy as a whole) over these next few weeks...

After what we saw this week with them on RAW, there is no doubt that Dibiase will interfere, and screw Orton out of the WWE Title. Ted is in no way apart of the PPV, and there not about to keep him off of it, or maybe they will. I have four scenarios.

1.
Dibiase interferes in the Iron Man match and screws Orton out of the title. Orton Throws him out of Legacy, and probably a face on next weeks RAW, setting up a feud between the two. I loved it yesterday when the whole crowed was chanting "Teddy".

2.
Within the last minute of the Iron Man match(the pin fall count will be tied), Dibiase will come out, and act like he is going to help Orton. He will just stand there causing the distraction on Orton, and Cena will take the advantage and put him the STF, or Attitude Adjust him, getting Cena the lead and the win. It will set up and argument the two, and probably delay the full face turn until future week on RAW, like I will say in number 4.

3. Dibiase will cut a promo on the Titan Tron before the Iron Man match starts, and when both Cena, and Orton are in the ring. He will talk about how he disrespects both him and Cody. He will say stuff like, "you say we got to respect you, but you have to earn it." He will go on and maybe end the promo with, "whether you have the Title or not, I'm coming after you." Again probably seeing a face Ted on RAW next week, and starting a feud between the two.

4.
Dibiase will not be on the Bragging Rights PPV at all and continue the hype of a face turn. Continuing the arguments, and matched between the two. Eventually seeing a face turn of Ted in future weeks probably the week before, during the next PPV, which is Survivor Series(unless they change the name by then), or the week after Survivor Series.

My favorite is the third one. It would be so nice to see that. It probably is not likely to happen, and I don't think 4 could either because I doubt they will keep him off the show completely. Number 1, and 2 seem the most likely that would happen.

Either way, can't wait for Ted to turn face, as he will make a good one.

I had an idea...
I've been reading rumors of a Ted DiBiase Jr. face turn for several weeks now. What if that was the original plan, but someone in the WWE found out about us knowing this, and so they're teasing it, only to have DiBiase stay heel in the end...holding of the turn for another year at least.

First off I'm sure they know that everyone knows of Ted's face turn, mostly because of the film that is coming out. Second, even if they didn't want people to know, there not going to change the plans just because the fans know about it.

I like what ifs, so let's play one right now.

Early in the evening on Sunday, Legacy is shown backstage with Cody Rhodes discussing his involvement in the 7v7 match and Orton "bragging" about how it's finally time for him to put away Cena for good. They could belittle Ted again by saying that he is contributing nothing to Legacy and should probably just leave. Ted, again playing the puppet, walks off with Randy and Cody smirking behind his back.

Fast forward-

With two minutes left in the Ironman match at Bragging Rights, Cena and Orton are tied and neither superstar is really able to do anything else to the other. Ted runs down to the ring and gets up behind Orton like he's going to nail Dreamstreet on him, but chooses to attack Cena instead, giving Orton the win and sending Cena to Smackdown.

On Raw the next night, Legacy is in the ring, Orton's bragging again about how he single-handedly sent the fans' hero home. Dibiase interrupts and lets Orton know that he didn't do it alone and that he's right, John Cena is gone from Smackdown and it's time for someone to step up. That someone, oddly enough, is none other than Ted Dibiase.

Now, is this face turn too quick? Maybe, but they've been teasing at this for a few months now, the fans were hot hot hot behind him last night and maybe another instance or two at belittling him and Dibiase would be ready to go.

Since I got a few irritated emails, let me clarify. Firstly, have you been hearing the cheers Orton's been getting? Yeah, they like him almost as much as Cena. Secondly, Dibiase can come in the ring, look at Orton and Orton can do the staredown tactic and force Dibiase into a subserviant role to where Dibiase does the deed for him. Dibiase will NOT get heel heat for this because the fans know that Orton's just pulling his strings. The next night, Dibiase can get fed up and knock Orton out.

I love how people on this board tell you to think and not take into consideration what you're trying to say. If you disagree with me, tell me like a civilized individual and not like a petulant child. You just end up sounding ignorant. Any thoughts on my new REVISED plan?

Yeah they could or but I see Carlito or Chavo takin his place in Legacy if they decide to add anymore members plus I see @ the Rumble Cena vs Swagger fir the WWE Title. DiBiase will get a face try but it'll be @ the end of the year or leadin to Mania with Orton(Heel) vs DiBiase(face) w/ Rhodes as Ref.
Read this i think this will play a major part in the feud most likely
(A sequel, The Marine 2, has been filmed, starring WWE superstar Ted DiBiase in the lead role. Unlike the original, it will be released direct-to-DVD; the current release date is December 29, 2009. A small teaser trailer was released in June 2009, featuring new footage showcasing DiBiase. WWE superstar Randy Orton had originally been scheduled to play the lead role but could not do it due to a collarbone injury.)

I think that this was done fantastically. I liked how Orton kept pushing his luck and attacking Di Biase, they had Biase tease the fans by pushing Orton back, but if you look at it from a storyline point of view then you know that the WWE will just string this out for weeks, perhaps months before the inevitable face turn. It works though, it got Batista over when he did this with HHH. The problem is that I dont see him going straight into a feud with Orton. I think it will end up being Cody who attacks Ted for Orton, setting up the Ted/Orton feud for later in the year.

Orton will be busy will whoever he decides to face after Cena beats him/gets beaten by him, probably HHH as that has been the common way for the last year, leaving plenty of time for a decent Ted/Cody fight. I mean lets face it who doesn't love a former heel tag team beating on each other?

I think a Ted Dibiase face turn SHOULD NOT happen now, it's way premature in my opinion. The storyline is all well and good, the seeds have been planted but it's way too early in my opinion to actually go ahead and turn him.

I would love if this turned into Ted Dibiase coming out during the main event at Bragging Rights in the Iron Man Match to ultimately screw John Cena out of the match and make Cena leave Raw. It would show the fans that Legacy had been unified and playing with people's minds all along.

Also, the interference finish with Cena losing would do it's job in keeping Orton's title reign in tact, building more heat for Ted Dibiase than ever before, and keeping Cena's credibility at the same time since it took outside interference to beat him.

this is how it will go down in the iron match match. Since its no DQ, in the dying stages of the match legacy will interfere. Teddy turns on cody, Marine 2 helps Marine 1 to screw Orton out his wwe title.

Does anyone remember Brett DiBiase interfering in that one Randy Orton match? I bet along with Ted eventually turning face, this leaves a gap in Legacy. This face turn will probably also lead to Brett coming up to the main roster. Starting out Ted vs Randy for a World Title being that he'll be such a fresh baby face is a ridiculous idea. I'd say he should do a program with all of what ever is left of Legacy and then take on Orton.

I was waiting for him to beat his ass, inside I knew it wasn't gonna happen, but I was just as into it as the little kids cheering ted in the front rows. That was so cool. The crowd was exceptional that night. I'm curious to see how Ted works as a face. Just like someone said, it's not a great idea to rush the change, they did it with Orton and he flopped. Give it time, Ted's got talent. He can make it all work. I personally am more of a Cody Rhodes fan, but that's another thread ladies and gents.

I loved this segment. It does look like Dibiase could be turning face in the future, and I'm actually glad the WWE are building up to it, instead of just changing him instantly. It gives the fans time to get behind Teddy, and creates alittle fan base for him.

The match between Dibiase & Orton, did it's best at getting the fans behind Ted, which they did. He actually got a bigger chant them some of the faces, and this also proves that Orton is a great heel(he can get the fans behind his opponent).

Having Teddy attack Orton would have been too soon, and now they can gradually build up to it. Even though I'd rather have Ted stay heel, but with the Marine 2 coming out, I think it's a great way to promote it. Personally I can't wait until the moment he finally snaps, and attacks Orton. He could possibly do it at Bragging Rights, insuring Cena wins, would help the crowd get even more behind him.

Right now, the legacy internal heat, is one of the best parts of Raw for me, and I can't wait to see what's next.

wat if ted's movie is like mr. kennedy's awful so this means wwe took him out of the group for nothing how long do you think there gonna keep dibiase and orton fued 2 months maybe then they bury him in the mid card like every 1 else next then u know he's gonna be just standing in the ring waitin for his opponent no entrance ..leave him with legacy maybe let him win a few singles titles like u.s or maybe 1 more tag team run but they shouldnt let this happen now

Haven't all WWE movies been bad? Stone Cold's movie sucked ass, but he's still on top. Cena's two movies sucked ass, but he's still the biggest face of the company. Besides, Legacy's break-up has been coming a long time since they first formed last year. Ted has shown to be a good singles wrestler, and the crowd was really behind him this week, so a face turn could turn out well for him.

I've also enjoyed the slow face turn Ted Jr. has been making. I knew it was coming ever since Orton told Legacy to basically STFU after they lost the tag team gold. When does The Marine 2 come out? That's going to be the deadline for this face turn to wrap itself up.

Am i the only one who thinks that Ted is a little over rated? He's good but i think it'd benefit him more to have a run as a heel like Orton did in Evolution. Being groomed to be the next top guy. I think i'd buy him more as a legit threat to Orton if he had a good run with a midcard belt and started to think he was as good as Orton. maybe even ask for a title shot as he got more sure of himself. I think its great that the crowd seemed so into the tease of Ted turning, but i don't think that he's gonna benefit as much from the turn if he hasn't been made to look strong as a singles competitor. Also, we shouldn't forget that Orton and Ted had a very good match on Raw when Dibiase sr. was hosting. So its not like Ted hasn't fought Orton before.

First of all, I love the screen name "Henry Hill" and the sig giving tribute to Ray Liotta's character in the movie "Goodfellas" It's one of my favorite movies of all time, and that someone liked it enough to bring it on here is pretty cool by me.

On to business....

I'd also like to give an honorable mention to Lord Sidious for so lucidly addressing the love fest on the net for one, Ted DiBiase Jr. as I have quoted below.

For Teddy's publicists on the IWC who work for free, I have always been reserved in giving into this hype from everyone because frankly, I haven't seen enough progress of Teddy in terms of character development to give into everyone else's hooplah surrounding him.

Truly. O-V-E-R-H-Y-P-E-D. I seriously don't get why everyone is all over this guys ball-sack like he is the greatest thing since...well anything for that matter. Yes he's in good shape, yes he can wrestle; just like pretty much everyone else in the company, yes his dad is the Million Dollar Man, yes he is in a stable with Randy Orton, but take away the genealogy, the top tier rub, take away the "Legacy" and what do you have? Just a guy trying to act like Randy Orton. That is all I have seen from him and Cody Rhodes and I think that frankly it's pathetic, and drives both of their stock down into the red. What are they going to be after They aren't in the stable? Guys who look and act like Randy Orton but aren't as good? Oh but they'll have last names we are familiar with so I guess that makes them the bee's knee's all of the sudden.

Get like Susan Powder, and stop the insanity!!! This guy hasn't even had a singles run yet and you've embrocated him as the next Randy Orton or John Cena. Whether he stays heel or turns face, doesn't matter. He needs to develop a character that isn't Lil' Orton, and see if he can make it like that.

First off, thanks Game-Rage for the recognition. secondly, that is exactly what i think about the IWC love fest with little Ted. Its funny how a guy who hasn't done anything just gets chosen to be loved. I mean seriously, what the hell is this guy really doing aside from being Randy Orton with less tattoos?

Personally, I love tag team wrestling, so I wish WWE would give Rhodes/DiBiase the tag belts for another run and save this face-turn for a rainy day. Unfortunately, it seems a little too late for that one. Once DiBiase makes the turn, he'll be a decent face . . . but I think it'll take a great deal of effort to keep him from being buried in the mid-card shuffle. He's clearly not seasoned enough for a go at the top, so I'm less interested in how WWE turns him face than how they keep him relevant after his series with Orton.
