Daniel Bryan is very original

You may remember on the first episode of NXT that Miz told Bryan to come up with a catchphrase. Bryan said "Snap or Tap."

So I was checking TNA's website to see if they had updated their house show schedule and saw the ad for Don West's Insane Deals so I figured why not check it out as I remember watching him sell baseball cards and thought he was funny. He was talking about the Brown Bag Specials and had a Kurt Angle shirt. On the back it said "Tap or Snap." This was put on Youtube over a year ago when Bryan's promo was 9 months ago.

Am I missing something (and i very well may be as I don't watch a lot of Danielson stuff from before WWE) or did he rip off Angle's line?

I'm sure Angle's used it before. It's a simple, yet effective line.

I'll give Bryan the benefit of the doubt because he doesn't have a TV so he probably never heard this catchphrase used by Angle. If I'm not mistaken, Bryan's catchphrase in the indies was "I'll kick your fucking head in". I'm not 100% though. Where's Doc when you need him?

So no, I don't think he intentionally ripped off Angle.

I loved Angle when he had that T-Shirt in 2003 during his year-long run with Lesnar.

It had an American Flag with "Freedom Of Choice" on the front and on the back it said "Angle Slam or Tap Out".

People were calling on him "ripping it off" when the promo first happened. If it was written in, then it was probably intentional. Otherwise, Bryan could have remembered it and thought it came from his mind, or he could have legitimately made it up on the spot. It's not too farfetched seeing as it's a rhyming catchphrase.

His catchphrase in the indies was that he's the "BEST! WRESTLER! IN THE WORLD!". The crowd's catchphrase for him was "You're gonna get your fucking head kicked in!" as well as "Best in the world!" and his catchphrase during matches was "I have until five!".

It's not like he's claiming it as his own and always using it. It was a throwaway line, a gag if it was written in to take a small hit at Angle.
