Damn IWC Hardheads

Edge as the cunning opportunist with Lita was brilliant. Pre-PG he was one of those characters who would do anything to anyone, and would keep me on my couch.
I dug Edge's methodology to win and become a heel champion. For me it went downhill after his match with Taker at WM.

What this kid is trying to say I guess, is Sheamus is so 'ridiculous looking' with his red-hair pale skin, initially I thought nothing of him , but I kinda like him now. I mean he has great expressions can sell a story well and for a brawler keeps you interested in his matches throughout.

And Sheamus decimated HHH!!! what's this kid been smoking?????

Edge had two times where he showed intelligence: cashing in MITB. Other than that he's nothing but cheap title reigns and a meaningless number of 9. Tell me, other than him cashing in and the live sex celebration, what do you remember distinctly from his title reigns that meant anything? Can your remember when he won them? Who he beat?

Better question: how many has he won in what would be considered clean?

Well I do remember his cashing in on Taker and that HIAC match and the epic end.
But since he does play the p*ssy heel so often, his matches finish with him screwing someone.
But he has had very good matches. Look I do have this thing about selective memory for not only wrestling but personal life too so can't remember a lotta details.

I do understand where you're coming from but see what I'm saying that he is a one of a kind character. He fit his gimmick perfectly.
If he would've had the Rated R character in the attitude era, he would've been a Huge Face!

When you mean clean KB, do you mean under the rules in which the match takes place because Edge defeated RVD and Cena in that triple threat match. He did hit Cena with the belt but it was a No DQ match. Other than that, I don't think he has won a world title clean.

Yeah under the rules of the match is fine. I wouldn't consider cashing in MITB clean though, as the match certainly wasn't a fair contest which is what defines dirty wins. Granted that could certainly be a stretch and I wouldn't argue someone calling it clean that hard.

Edge has been stale for the past two or three years. I thought his face turn would have been great if it was executed right which it wasn't.

It wasn't given enough time at all. It could have worked. Also something better than the SPEAR chants would help a lot.

I hear everybody wants him to go back to Smackdown but if he does that, he should be a face because as a heel he's feuded with Mysterio and Undertaker enough. A face Edge versus a heel Punk feud does sound intriguing because Punk is in limbo right now.

Sheamus is utterly average in every way. And he's been booked totally shit, just like Swagger, those two can't even buy a clean victory anymore.

The ending to the Cell match was horrible. There is almost nothing Rated R about him other than his name.

Well I actually liked it so it's a personal taste thing I guess.

Wasn't doing a live sex celebration Rated R?
Also I do agree that his face turn needed some time, And can I just say , I have never liked the spear as his finisher. Just not believable enough.

This is unfortunately true which is real shame as I think both could have been something great.

Swagger had all the hallmarks of a combination of Angle and Lesnar and character that while somewhat goofy backstage could transform into an animal in the ring, hurting people to keep the title.

Sheamus could have been a new breed of heel. A lone wolf who was not afraid of anyone and did not need help to take on the biggest names in the company.

Both are young so there is still time but I cannot help but feel that there have been missed opportunities with both.

Oh yeah. All of 5 minutes nearly 5 years ago makes you HARDCOREZ!

Not sure about that. Swagger's certainly far better in the ring. Sheamus has the edge on the mic. They're both currently nothing special though.

I thought Swagger's cocky gimmick before he won the title would have been much better. I guess the serious Swagger works though but they need to do more with him.

Sheamus gets far better heat than Swagger. Granted he's going against Cena which helps a lot than that. Also he was the guy that got the rocket push, which is severely lacking in WWE.

Can't really blame Swagger for that though, Sheamus has been pitted against all the top faces (Cena, Triple H, Orton) while Swagger works with the likes of Mysterio and MVP. His matches with Mysterio were all pretty good though.

Americans, especially wrestling fans, are extremely xenophobic so it comes to no shock that the distinctly foreign wrestler gets more heat than the All American does.

Which isn't something that can be blamed on Sheamus either. That's just how American fans are as you said. The biggest issue with Swags was his father. Just REALLY hard to take him seriously. That and losing clean all the time on TV.

WWE's booking of Sheamus and Swagger has just made no sense. You have enough confidence in them to give them world title reigns, but not enough to have them actually get a clean win over a top=level guy? What's the point of making a young guy a champion if you're just going to make him look like shit and like he doesn't deserve the title? Isn't the point to try and make these kids stars? You've got to give them clean wins over top guys then, it's that simple but the WWE seems too hesitant to pull the trigger. I'm baffled by how they've treated Swagger, one minute he's champion the next he's feuding with MVP?

I think the main problem is that there are way too many heels.

Your main event faces right now are Cena, Orton, Mysterio, Undertaker, and Big Show (more or less). Most of your best workers that can help out Swagger or Sheamus are heel.
