OK, so I've been continuing to experiment with brushes and trying new things, mostly out of boredom. I decided to see what I could do if using an image rather than a render. I selected her eyes and mouth, inverted the selection, and desaturated everything. I used ShiftyJ's Midnight City brushes to add in the arrows and lines, using colors I sampled from the original image. I erased some parts on her face, in order to give the illusion of depth. The halftones on her arm were set to Overlay after I erased the parts not on her arm. The circle behind her name was a custom shape vector from a pack I downloaded the other day. The spacing between the lines of text had to be adjusted before I added a 2px stroke on the text, and a black/white border.
