Could Mark Henry be a Face?

Fuck erbody but me
Absurd? Absolutely, but I am insanely bored. We have seen a face Mark Henry before, but it was a total joke. He was still over though.... So maybe? Could he pull it off? Do you think the fans would get behind him if he was in a feud with say, Vladimir Kozlov? God help us if that ever happens. Remember, this is hypothetical, could Mark Henry be a face?

It's not that hard really. WWE fans are for the most part easily entertained. Throw out Mark Henry as Sexual Chocolate Part 2 with Goldust and Hornswoggle and he's pretty much instantly over.

But that probably won't happen. Quite frankly I think Henry has long outstayed his welcome and has been painful to watch for years now. I mean there was like a year or two period there when he first showed up where he was atleast a decent midcarder and you could watch one of his matches without wanting to kill yourself. Not the same anymore. This might also have to do with my hatred for Tony Atlas though. The absolute definition of dead weight that man is. Another WWE "Legend" in the vein of Koko B. Ware.

Most definately absurd, but I'll entertain the thought.

The main problem with the idea is that a face Mark Henry would require some character, which from what Mark has shown, he lacks. However, let us assume that Henry could pull off a good face turn. I'd personally change him into a one man APA version 2.0. It works with Tony Atlas too. He could be the guy that all the undercard/midcard faces turn to when they need some help, for the right cost. Imagine the pop he would get going up against Legacy and such. The APA were over with the fans, even in a tweener state, so I'd think the same could work for Mark.

This could also work with Mark staying a heel. Possibly better. Possibly this could lead to his release. Worth a try, IMO...

Yes, and you don't have to use ridiculous comedic characters to get it done, either. Its quite simpe, really. All Mark Henry has to do, is save someone small. Evan Bourne, for example.

Henry has been feuding with Bourne for a bit now. And from what I've seen, I guess he destroyed him tonight on E.C.W. Overall, both men have traded victories. So what could happen here, is the Hart Dynasty could jump Bourne in a 2 on 1 situation, only to have Henry come out and everyone naturally assumes he'll help gang up on Bourne.. Wrong.

Have Henry clear the ring, Bourne unsure of why, then have Henry announce respect for Bourne and there you have it. Fans will cheer him, not wildly, but they'll begin to. As the weeks and months roll on, have Henry continue to go up against heels. Swagger, the Hart's and before you know it.. you suddenly have a very dominate FACE in Mark Henry, set all perfectly to clash against the Russian monster Kozlov.

Hell yes, I like that.

Wow, you know I never even seriously considered it, but thats a good idea. I mean, Mark has kinda been demoted to Khali-land, and he is still at least moderately valuable as a stepping stone. A face turn might actually be a good idea. Hell, why not make him and Bourne an actual tag team? It would give The Hart Dynasty something to do.

Like Will said, it would be really simple to turn Mark Henry face. To be honest, anybody can turn face. Look at a guy like Khali, he is a big lumbering heel who was mean as anything, and can't wrestle. Yet, he started kissing ugly girls, and people started cheering for him. John Morrison turned face because his friend betrayed him, and then he told Jericho that he was a loser. It's easy to turn, the real challenge is staying fresh and interesting. In my opinion Mark Henry could turn face very easily, whether it means saving a small guy from being jumped, kissing babies, or being betrayed by Tony Atlas and then feuding with a heel. However, he'd grow stale very quickly.

It would be good to see Mark Henry as a face again. I would like to see him against the Hart Dynasty and Swagger. ECW has enough heels as it is and sometimes change, whether it will be long-term, is welcomed.

To me, Mark Henry is underrated. I think he could actually carry the World Heavyweight title on Smackdown and be a legitimate champion. As a heel, but he's got a great gimmick.

Henry as a face? I don't know. He just looks like too much of a beast to be a face, I think. And his style isn't exactly friendly. He's just a big strong man. Natural heel.

Well..it could happen but it shouldnt...like someone already said henry is underrated and could potentially hold world championship gold(i guess you could count the ECW title but then again its not gold) Henry needs to be the dominate force that wwe says he is and we all know he is. he shouldnt be jobbing to evan bourne-no matter how talented bourne is. Henry should be main eventing. that said, he needs to stay heel

Love love love lovedd the finish of raw tonight with Mark Henry getting the clean and dominant victory over Orton. This guy has been around forever and has never received the push he deserved. Granted he has had some weight issues in the past, hes not bad to pretty good on the mic, and if he looks as good as he did tonight, i like the direction he could be headed in, as long as they dont bury him next week for no reason.

hopefully we see more good things to come from mark. the fans seem like they can be into him.

to be honest though, i was hoping for the undertaker to come out as the 3rd person in the gauntlet. fans woulda went bazerk

Somehow, someway, that was the greatest Raw ending in a lonnng time. Henry coming out to try to emulate Swagger, but instead... just owned Orton. Sexual Chocolate minus the sexual is back!!! I loved how the crowd was so behind him after destroying Orton... and MVP and Bourne come out during their entrances, you can hear birds chirping in Sacramento from the San Jose arena. Mark Henry just took the crowd by the balls and said "you guys come with me." And they did. Willingly. And we followed. I hope we see many many many good things to come from Mark instead of just being a giant bully that thinks he's the tits.

I like both of you was very pleased with Mark Henry destrying Orton and becomiong face ( even though i would have also liked to have been Taker) The only real push the man has ever had was winning the ECW title and by then it was to late. Hopefully he wont be buried and wont become just some attraction

Yeah, I hope so too.

Knowing the WWE, they'll have him destroyed by Cena.

Don't know what in the world Show and Kofi was about or what significance it brought.

It'll be interesting to see how the WWE goes ahead with Mark Henry. Just give the guy a chance already.

Answer to question yes... He looked great to night and the crowd friggin' loved it... I'm pretty happy about that finish...

Mark Henry impressed the shit out of me on tonight's RAW. I never thought he had the power to electrify an audience like that, who knows maybe Mark Henry is actually worth something after all. He is now definitely a face, and it seems like he is a very good one.

He could easily be a face if he went back to his old gimmick, but I doubt he will. Orton the heel VS Mark Henry the heel. Chances are Henry will get the cheers and that's exactly what happened tonight. I think he will still remain a heel.
