Getting Noticed By Management
Congrats to all the Packer fans on this site. Your team played a hell of a game last night and were the better team. If not for all of those drops, you may well have blown us out of the water. I have the sickest feeling right now, and am completely pissed, but I had to congratulate you guys. You have a great team and I hope all of your players heal up quickly. If we had to lose, I couldn't think of another team I'd have rather lost to. Here's to hoping we can come back next year and have a chance at redemtion. Enjoy the parade!

P.S. The NFL needs to get a deal done and get it done soon. No way should there be a lockout. On another note, I personally know four people that were not admitted into the game last night, because their tickets were in the temporary seating section. They had to watch the game at a bar in the basement of the new stadium. It is my understanding that the NFL is offering them 3x the amount of face value of the tickets. If it were me, that wouldn't even come close to being enough. They should be ashamed!

GREEN AND YELLOW!!! I guess I can stop repping the Packers now. I'm not a fan, I just hate the Steelers!

Next year's superbowl Champions are:

Why are you congratulating the fans? They didn't do anything.

Because they should be proud of their team and because I'm sure they're super excited. I don't know, I know some people don't like when you use the term "we" or "us" when it comes to your sports teams, but that's just the way I am. I'm sure a ton of ppl just as passionate as I am do the same.

We are excited. We've waited some 13 years for a chance to win the Super Bowl. I have to say, of all the teams I've had to endure against my favorite teams, the Steelers fans have been the coolest, most respectful fans.

Also, this is a big deal for Packers fans because I feel like so many people doubted they could do it, not only win last night, but also that they couldn't make it that far. If I'm not mistaken, and I totally could be, no other team has won the Superbowl as a wildcard?

The STEELERS were the first team to do it in 2005 and then the Giants did it the very next year, but it's STILL an incredible accomplishment.

This was on ESPN about those seats

The 400 people without seats will be "guests of the NFL" at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, commissioner Roger Goodell said on Monday. The fans also received triple the face value of their 2011 tickets, which is $2,400, free merchandise, food and beverages, and were allowed to go on the field at Cowboys Stadium after the game.

So yeah, does suck they missed this year, but the NFL is taking care of them. The NFL acknowledged they messed up, but if the seats were unsafe, better than someone getting seriously hurt or lose their life.

Certainly I'd hate to see anyone get hurt and it's commendable of the NFL to step up and admit they messed up. However, the chances of those fans getting to see "their" team at the game next year are pretty slim, and no amount of money will change the fact that they missed out on that oppurtunity.

I guess I will admitt it... the Packers did play a good game last night. I'm still disappointed about Pitt's loss because I'm a huge Steelers fan, but I'm glad to see the Packers get this big win. The Steelers always have a chance next year. Congrats Cheesheads!

I've been on the Packers bandwagon for the past 2 weeks, and I gotta admit, it's been a very fun ride! I have guys at my school who are Packer/Patriot guys for life, and I'm just now starting to realize why they love the Packers so much. They're a no nonsense, do-our-talk-on-the-field, respectful football team. I'm genuinley glad for everyone in Wisconsin and all the other Cheeseheads for being able to watch their team go all the way and win that title belt Aaron Rodgers has been promising this whole season. The Green Bay Packers have made a believer out of me.

That is true that they might not be able to see "their" team next year providing there is even a SB to be played, so they might have to actually wait 2 years. But at least they didn't have to watch that abomination of a half time show.

No they weren't, Broncos did it in 97

And I quote from answers.com:

5 wild card teams have won the Super Bowl.

The 1980 Oakland Raiders were the first wild card team to win the Super Bowl, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XV. Other wild card teams to win the Super Bowl were the 1997 Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII, 2000 Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XXV, the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XL, and the 2007 New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII.

Man, I can't tell you how happy I was after the Packers won. Elated. Truly elated. Through all the blood and sweat and tears, we finally did it!
