College Football LD 10/11/2008

LULZ. Mizzou-OKST is 10-7 at the half. oooohhh ahhhhhh. the offensive firepower on display.
Mizzou is just playing awful. I don't know what the deal is, but Mizzou is an explosive offense.

Just not tonight. And they're going to get beat, barring a minor miracle.

did you see that pass daniel just threw??? as it gleefully fluttered into a GAGGLE of white jerseys?? what the fuck is going on out there tonight??

I think it was a broken play. I think Daniel thought the receiver was going to keep going, but he stopped.

I think Mizzou noticed that they had a chance to be number one and got a little nervous.
Nah, they were number 1 last year up until the Big 12 Conference game.

What's stupid about this is that if Mizzou doesn't lose another game the rest of the year, they still have no shot at a National Title. Because a 2 loss SEC team will apparently be a better team than a 1 loss Mizzou.

I hate the BCS. But, this game isn't over yet. Mizzou can score points in a hurry.

#1 Texas
#2 Alabama
#3 Penn St.
#4 USC
#5 Texas Tech
#6 Oklahoma
#7 Ohio State
#8 BYU
#9 Georgia
#10 Ohio State

I think that's what we'll get tomorrow.

I've always thought the SEC champions should get a national title spot guaranteed if they have less than 3 losses. That schedule is harder than anyone else in the country has. To get through that proves you're one of the best in the country.

actually, i would put Florida at 10 and Ohio State at 11. That makes more sense.

And Oregon's uniforms don't look new to me, are they?

The SEC is always top heavy, and until this year, there was always Vandy, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Alabama, South Carolina, and Kentucky to pick on.

The Big 12 is a better conference this year.

No offense, but that's stupid. The SEC is the most overrated conference in the history of college football. They pad their schedule with weak non-conference teams, so when they get into conference play it looks tough.

But, look at all these "tough" SEC teams.

Tennesse, Kentucky, Auburn, Mississippi, Mississippi St, Arkansas...hell, even South Carolina (whose only wins include the school of the blind) and Vanderbilt.

The SEC is terribly overrated.

The phrase "no offense" always means something offensive is coming.

Not to be mean, but that mole on your face blocks out the sun, on other planets. That bitch is huge.

I agree with Sly, the SEC is overrated. They play Western Kentucky, and Western Carolina, and Georgia St. early, so of course they are going to have six undefeated teams going into conference play. Everyone acts like it's a shock when South Carolina loses to Georgia. Well, Georgia is a historic team with talent, and South Carolina just beat three nunneries and SMU, so who do you expect to win?

How can you say they're overrated? The depth they have is greater than anyone else, period. Last year, 8 teams go to a bowl game with 9 qualifying, which granted has a lot to do with there beign WAY too many bowl games but that's a different debate for another time.

The point of the SEC being so tough is that there isn't a weak team in the conference. Vandy has its first loss today, UK nearly beat Alabama, Auburn was a national title contender at the beginning of the year, and I could go on for all of those teams you listed. The conference is deeper than any other and the Big 12 is the only one that comes close.

I always consider it to mean that I'm going to say something bad, but it doesn't represent my feelings on you personally.

I remember two or three years ago, when there were THREE different SEC teams that played Louisiana-Lafeyette.

Exactly. Or when someone beats Tennessee, we're supposed to be surprised.

And FUCK. Daniel threw an INT. Game.

There gos my number one vs. number 2 dream for next week. Think Texas is gonna see anything on the film to use for next week.

Hook em!
