I need help with this. Not sure which one to get.

Could get a 360 with FIFA 09 or PES for £170.

Or go for the apparently better PS3 for about £250, and get FIFA or PES with it.

I have no idea which one to get, I preffer Playstation to Xbox really. But y'know.. change and all that.

Better processor with still untapped power, Blue-Ray movies, wireless Internet, free online gaming, Blu-Ray disc holds 25 GB (opposed to 8 GB for Xbox)...and hasn't yet reached 1/2 of its potential.

Is it worth the extra money?

Without a doubt.

I have an Xbox 360 and Wii. If at some point I could get a PS3 it would be nice.

I would say it heavily depends on who you are, and what you're looking for in a system. As a general rule when assessing a purchase forget price and think value. Ask yourself:
What will be the systems primary use?
What do you need the system to do?
What features can/can't you live without?

For me the answer was clear. I am a casual gamer. Quality over quantity I suppose. I also use my PS3 as a BluRay player quite often; for the money the PS3 is one of the best BluRay players you can get. I've also installed Linux as a second operating system and use the machine as a full fledged computer from time to time. And while the PS3 is more expensive -I even bought and installed a bigger 2.5" HDDrive to replace the stock drive- it performs handsomely and it truly is a worthwhile investment which I believe I will be happy with for years to come. Till the PS4 comes out of course

Just pick what's best for you. Good Luck!
