CM Punks injury the best thing that ever happened to Daniel Bryan??

Occasional Pre-Show
So for those of you who remember, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk started to tease a feud on Raw just before Punk got injured and then had his hugely successful stint on commentry. They had an in ring "confrontation" or moment. This feud was widely regarded as something which would have led to a Wrestlemania match and have them help Daniel Bryan move up a level within the WWE....

But then...Punk did get injured, and when he returned he went onto feud with Cena and Orton, this elevated Punk higher than he already was, he feuded with two of the very top faces in the company and has come out a real star.

Now Punk has used history in starting feuds several times, most recently using the Punt that cost him the title to start his feud with Orton. Now assuming Punk does go back to Bryan (and i hope he does) then this will elevate Bryan further than it wouldve had they done this before. Punk now is realistically a believable main eventer so feuding with him only makes Bryan look even stronger.

So my questions are....

Do you believe that these two will feud again?? and if so how will they start the feud??

and

Do you agree that its better for Daniel Bryan now that Punk has feuded with 2 of the biggest in the company???

I remember what you're talking about. I don't know if they were going to feud though, maybe they were, but I can't recollect it fully. I do remember they had an awesome back-and-forth at the Royal Rumble as number one and number two entrants respectively though. It was pretty entertaining to watch, and I can remember the miniature ROH chant coming from the crowd.

Would love to see a long-term feud between them, Danielson is one of the better faces on RAW at the moment, and of he can pull off quality matches with Sheamus than what he could do with CM Punk would probably be brilliant.

They could just start a feud over whose better. I mean, they're both talented wrestlers and they have a history, albeit outside the doors of the WWE. But, WWE have mentioned the indy scene, especially in reference to Bryan, so no reason they can't bring it up again to enhance a possible feud between the two.

The one thing that It'd do for Bryan, with Punk having feuded with the top two, would be that he'd have to come to Punk's level which is higher up the card, if not main event level. That would be, to me, perfect for almost every ROH fan whose watched as Punk and Bryan to strength-to-strength in the WWE.

This would be AWESOME but there's one monumental problem; the WWE ISN'T INTO WRESTLING MATCHES ANYMORE. They only care about PG ratings and Cena's merchandise. IF they WERE to allow WRESTLING again; this would be epic on so many levels. We would get unbelievable matches and even greater matches as the feud went on. Sadly, we are only going to get this on the Smackdown VS Raw game in the GM Mode.

Would definitely be a great match as these are the best among the current lot when it comes to in-ring skills...However IMO i dont see this match happening at least for the next 6 months...

WWE isn't into wrestling matches any more??? Did you not see the matches with Bryan and Ziggler?? They wouldnt of been on PPV and multiple episodes of Raw and SD if WWE "wasn't into wrestling matches".

As far as Punk vs Bryan I remember when this was starting and was pumped for it. I posted a projected SummerSlam card yesterday and had that match right there for the U.S. Title. This feud would be awesome. The matches as long as they get 12+ minutes would be MOTY canidates easily. I was hoping this would of made it's way to WM at the time, but with the way they want SummerSlam to be the 2nd WM, I'll take it there.

Here is a small taste:

I completely agree with this, we even got a nice match with the morrison/bryan vs ziggler/sheamus match on Raw which was fast paced and filled me with hope for both the Mania matches

but as a few people have posted, this feud wont happen straight away but a Summerslam feud could be epic

(ps, not sure if its just my computer but the video link doesnt seem to work)

The best thing for DB was getting fired. Whilst the Nexus angle was enjoyable, Barrett is the only beneficiary of it. I wouldn't have seen Bryan making it on his own thus far and having awesome matches due to being tied in with the Nexus. I mean, he would probably be with Corre right now on Smackdown, as opposed to the individual match he's having with Sheamus for the United States title at WrestleMania.

I like your point however, and you could add that the moment they had can be used somewhere in the future, where Punk refers to the match that almost happened, thus strengthing the feud slightly and giving the WWE some continuity within their storylines.

Exactly, Punk is all about the past. he could bring up the fall or heck even bring up the past in the indies. Punk will make sure that everyone remembers the 1 or maybe 2 stare downs they had, and will make them seem like they were epic.

While we will have the Extreme Rules and Over the Limit to re-live WM, I'm sure by the time June comes around Punk can move on from Orton, and Bryan can have some good level re-matches with Sheamus and with random guys on Raw like he was doing in the winter, and then they can move into a program with each other. Just don't look for it the night after WM.

I just don't see it happening. Punk is the top heel on Raw. After his feud with Orton, he'll be gunning for the belt. Mark my words

I think Bryan could get a huge bump from this, but I wouldn't propose a feud exactly....

I'd like to see them do a best of seven series where Punk wins the first three and goes on about how Bryan has so much to learn still, then in the fourth match just as it looks like Bryan is going to win, CM Punk turns the tables and completely sweeps the series. Bryan starts questioning himself as a wrestler and after weeks of teasing he submits himself to CM Punk's mentorship, where Punk teaches him to be more aggressive and we get a more Benoit like Daniel Bryan.

Punk plays the "Jesus" character well and this is another opportunity for him to do it, while giving Bryan a little bit of edge, and at the end Bryan can get that W over Punk.

Well, let's see. CM Punk was traded to Raw to give the top faces someone new to fight. RAW's current top faces. He's already feuded with Cena and Orton (though the Cena feud could be revisited,) so the next two faces, at least by 'rank', would be Morrison and Bryan.

I'd expect Bryan, he's got a lot to gain by feuding with main eventers Sheamus and Punk. Morrison already feuds with main eventers, I think he'll be in the title scene for much of the year.

Now that I think of it, look for whichever one of Morrison or Bryan that DOESN'T wind up feuding with Punk to move over to Smackdown.

i for one would love to see these two feud, they both have killer submissions and mixed styles of fighting. it could even give daniel bryan a chance to work on his mic skills, they are not bad but practice makes perfect. but if they do feud, the 'new' nexus needs to be disbanded first if it already is not. they would just ruin the feud for me.
