{Daniel Bryan turns heel and joins Paul Heyman} VS CM Punk

The Architect of Anarchy

Leannardo Da Vinci of Pro Wrestling
This thread is a just an idea that I'm pitching out and discussing the impacts it has. Daniel Bryan is hot right now and is on his way to hopefully gaining the WWE Championship soon from Randy Orton. Punk vs Daniel Bryan is something we all want to see, even at WM.

Even though Daniel Bryan is super over, why not turn him heel later in the year, to put him in a feud against the company's number 2? Both are great in the ring, great on the mic. Bryan doesn't need Heyman because he has the mic skills to hold his own, but behind by his side gives the feud with Punk a personal incentive. This will increase the tension between the two with Heyman looking to get revenge.

Futhermore, Heyman may be in need of another wrestler, if Lesnar returns late or Axel loses the title(his only card of relevancy in the WWE right now).

These two have the potential to put on a classic, like they did twice in the same year in 2012.

To be totally honest, I found the Punk/Bryan matches quite underwhelming. Maybe it's just the forum hype spoiling it for me, I don't know.

I don't think Bryan needs a heel turn, seeing as he's been acting pretty heelish toward Kane ever since the Rumble, but the crowd doesn't seem to mind. Quite a lot of effort is being put into his face push right now and let's just ride this out at least until the year's end.

This shouldn't happen anytime in the near future, in my opinion. Daniel Bryan is the hottest thing in WWE right now and he's genuinely someone that a LOT of people WANT to cheer for. I can't predict the future so I don't know how it'll be in 6-12 months but, as of right now, there's too much money to be made with Daniel Bryan as a babyface in the WWE Championship picture. With John Cena out of the picture and the return of Monday Night Football 2 weeks from tonight, WWE needs all the momentum it can get. Punk & Bryan are the two most over babyfaces on the roster right now and with Cena out for, at least, the rest of 2013, WWE needs to keep interest in them high by keeping them by booking them as the top babyfaces.

Punk vs. Bryan during last summer delivered some great matches and I thought the feud was entertaining as a whole. I do like the notion of the two of them getting into another feud at some point down the road that has a more overall serious feel about it. But, again this is just my opinion, this isn't the best time for any such feud unless they're able to go the route of keeping them both babyfaces but really jacking up the emotional aspect of two professionals that respect each other while animosity builds between them. Turning either of them heel right now, in my eyes, is leaving a lot of money lying on the table.

So you are pitching the idea for the WWE to put on a dream match, for you personally, instead of elevating someone to hights that might allow him to carry the company.Plus I think Ziggler and Bryan can do miles better than Bryan cm punk, just because I find punk often to be sluggish in the ring.

If this match happens, it will be Punk who turns heel. Not just because he is much better at it, but Bryan has proven to be far more marketable to the broader WWE audience.

Lets see, you want to take WWE hottest thing today, te man who is massivly over as face to turn hel just so you could have match that has allready happened in same roles last year on 2(or maybe even 3) PPVs. You work for WWE as part of creative team, dont you? :lmao:

No need for that to happen, better idea is for them to join forces and have some tag matches against "New Corporation" or however would call other fraction. It fits storyline well because Punk is also not "company man" and never has been. They could even call themselves "IWC darlings".

There's always people clamoring for a heel turn from somebody. Sometimes, there's a good argument for it. This isn't one of those times.

There's no reason at all to turn the hottest babyface that the company currently has, a guy that people are tuning in to see, a guy that people are getting behind, purely so he can put on a match with CM Punk. If the WWE wanted the two to face off they could easily do it without turning either man.

Bryan's character right now is clearly defined as an underdog. Underdogs don't make good heels because nobody is rooting for them. You're asking for them to waste months of build-up, months of Bryan getting over as a face, all for the sake of a couple of matches.

With all due respect, that's an absolutely horrible idea. Daniel Bryan is riding a wave of popularity at the moment few before him have enjoyed in recent times. Why turn him heel and allow all of that momentum to go to waste? Just to feud with CM Punk, who he has already been involved with recently anyway.

Keep Daniel Bryan face, feuding with the big bad McMahons. Let him ride the wave for as long as he can. There is no logical reason to turn him heel at this stage of the game.

I like this as a short storyline idea where Heyman or HHH tries to convince Punk that Bryan is Heyman's new disciple. It could create some tension between the two for an episode or two and keep the fans guessing on Bryan's allegiances. But as far as a full storyline and feud, this is awful timing for it. Heyman should be throwing legit power heels and up and comers at Punk, not an established superstar who is possibly at the height of his acsension.

Like other above me have said, if this feud does happen (which I think will eventually) it will be punk who turns heel. I can't see WWE turning their biggest face into a heel and losing all of the momentum that he has. CM Punk on the other hand will have nothing to do after his feud with Heyman, so they can easily turn him heel again sometime in the future. Im thinking around the Royal Rumble most likely.

This would kill off any Moment D-Bryan has. And besides, there are too many main event heels, ya dig? Can Dagger Dias or someone else move this thread to the trash? Bad idea all around, mate.

Heel turns. Heel turns everywhere.

Seriously, everytime a wrestler finally peeks as an over face, there is some thread wanting him to turn heel. This is a very bad idea. Even after his feud with Orton and Triple H, which has only just began to pick up, the crowd would be behind him on a subatomic level. This isn't the era that sees frequent Face/Heel turns. Money is to be made off of this, and it's just good business to keep profitable faces like Daniel on top and, above all else, someone the crowd connects with.

Lol.

Honestly IWC always talk about how it would be great to see their internet darlings face off. We've already seen Punk vs Bryan and I wouldn't even consider it as one of the best matches in history. Same goes for Jericho vs Punk.

Plus, I don't see either of them turning heel anytime soon.

So no.

Why not keep them both faces?

I have an idea. Orton beats Bryan at NoC after the ref refuses to count the pinfall for Bryan. The ref is obviously scared for his job if he let Bryan win. Bryan argues with him, and Orton hits the RKO from behind getting the win. The same night, CM Punk wins the IC title from Curtis Axel.

Triple H then says Bryan is no longer eligible for the WWE title. Bryan has some huge segments calling Triple H out, and eventually, Triple H accepts a challenge for Battleground. Triple H vs. Bryan. If Bryan wins, he gets a last shot at the WWE title, and he even gets to choose the referee.

Punk makes it clear that the IC title isn't a downgrade. He still wants the big one. He faces Orton for the title at Battleground, and Orton wins. In the main event, Bryan beats Triple H to get his last shot.

On Raw, Triple H tells Bryan he can give him a list and he'll approve the referee out of that list. Bryan gives him a bunch of names from William Regal to Colt Cabana, but his main pick is the man who trained him, Shawn Michaels. Triple H allows Shawn to referee because he's his best friend and will "do what's right by him".

At Hell in a Cell, Punk faces Big E. Langston and beats him. Vince comes out and orders Punk to defend the title against Roman Reigns. Punk beats him too. Vince then orders him to defend it against Ryback. Punk beats him too. Punk is exhausted, and then, Vince says one more opponent: KEVIN NASH. Stay with me here... Nash beats Punk for the IC title, reigniting their feud from 2011.

In the main event, Bryan wins the WWE title and Shawn holds his hand high. This is the big moment Bryan fans have been waiting for.

On Raw, Punk berates Nash, Triple H and Vince. He reignites their feud from 2011 involving the conspiracies and the text message and whatnot. He says it all makes sense now because they were all in cahoots. He orders Triple H to give him back his title right now. Triple H then says he'll give him one better. He'll give him a WWE title match at Survivor Series. Punk asks "what's the catch?", and Triple H says the loser has to leave WWE. Vince applauds the idea because they'll be getting rid of one of two problematic superstars.

At Survivor Series, Punk vs. Bryan with Shawn as ref for the WWE title. Bryan is out cold, Shawn is checking up on him. Punk gets up and Nash runs in and hits him with the big boot. Shawn turns around and sees Nash on the outside looking up. He smirks and runs through the crowd. Shawn stares down at Punk and doesn't know what to do. He turns to Bryan and tells him to get up. He helps Bryan up and moves him for the pin. Bryan is dizzy and isn't fully aware of his actions when he pins Punk and ousts him from the WWE.

Triple H comes out with security and orders Punk to be escorted from the premises. Punk is angry and screaming at the top of his lungs and Triple H slaps him and berates him while security pulls him away. Bryan argues with Shawn, and Shawn superkicks him down. Triple H then orders an instant WWE title match right now. Triple H pedigrees Bryan and pins him for the WWE title.

How about THAT for Punk vs. Bryan??? Much better than turning Bryan heel. Triple H goes on to beat Bryan at TLC. At Royal Rumble, we see a segment where he gives X-Pac #13, and when X's music hits at the Rumble, Punk comes out instead. He obviously stole the ticket. He runs to the ring, and cleans house. He takes out most of Triple H's goons throughout the match, and John Cena returns at #30. Punk takes out Cena last and wins the Rumble, and goes on to face the evil COO WWE Champ at WrestleMania!

Bryan is by far the hottest thing going in WWE right now, why turn him heel? The only other guy in the company that may be able to take that top babyface spot - Punk - is knee deep in a feud with Heyman and is a better heel anyway.

Why interrupt the continued rise of a guy that is getting epic level reactions from the crowd on a nightly basis? Besides the probably good match we'd get between Bryan/Punk, what's the payoff? What's left would not come close to the payoff that this Vince/HHH story could bring.

Keep this going, because it's the hottest thing going. What's happening right now is great for business, both on TV and behind the scenes.

It doesn't seem necessary to turn Bryan heel. I don't even think it is a good idea. Bryan is doing brilliantly as a face and changing that would be mad. If anyone were to turn heel it would be Punk.

Lets say at WM30, it is Bryan v Punk V Orton (c) for the WWE title. Maybe Vince or HHH is attacking Bryan and Punk looks like he is going to stop it before joining in. Basically WM X7. Thus turning him heel and making him the champ. He and Bryan could then feud for the WWE Title. If either were to turn it would be Punk but I'm content with both as faces.
