That was my mark out moment of the year. Punk & Austin are pure gold together. Screw Cena/Rock, those two blow them right outta the water! In a perfect world, Stone Cold's "one more match" would be against Punk at Mania 28. Could you guys imagine? We're already getting Cena vs Rock. Austin vs Punk would top that in every way possible.

And doing the "What?" thing, which is annoying and I know the wrestlers hate it too. It's been like 9 years since Austin started that, please stop doing it.

Yeah I immediately marked when I saw Punk step into Austin's office. I'm talkin out loud, rising up out of my seat, excitement! If WWE doesn't find a way to have these feud, whether it be Austin finding a star to represent him or something.. I'll be extremely disappointed. I mean Stone Cold said not too long ago that he was healthy enough to go FULL TIME for 2 years if he really needed to... so what's one or two matches? I'm pretty sure Rock vs Cena AND Austin vs Punk at one Wrestlemania would sell more then enough to make the risk necessary.

Agreed the Austin/Punk Segment was really funny. I think time will tell if Austin really wants to do it because I think its more what he feels like then anyone else.

It is most likely up to Austin if it happens, but on that same note, I guaran-damn-tee it wont happen until Punk inks that new deal.
I really hope they get this done though. That would be the best feud in some time. Imagine Mania with Cena/Rock, Punk/Austin, Jericho/Taker, and the 2 World Titles matches all on one card. It would have the potential to be the best Mania ever.

I'm looking at Punk v. WWE a bit differently. What if Stone Cold is the one who can convince the powers that be to let go of their holdup with wanting to own the name CM Punk?? I would give anything (almost) to see Punk take on Austin at WM 28.

i would have loved for them to incorporate Punk's friendship with Matt from Tough Enough into a story between the 2, and maybe use it as a way to get mdogg in the fold for a little while. I didn't know about the guy before tough enough, but after looking him up on youtube i wouldnt mind seeing him put some matches on with DB and Punk etc. Would have been cool to have Punk blast Austin for dropping his boy so early despite him being the most talented in ring performer of the bunch. Could have been a good storyline IMO

best backstage segment of the night! other than "little jimmy" with truth n morrison... i rolled at truth's facial expression alone. but just seein punk n austin together made me feel like something special was goin down...

That segment was pure gold. It was the highlight of the show for me in a lot of ways. It's so sad to know that it's a feud that'll never happen. CM Punk did his job perfectly. He was incredibly funny mocking Stone Cold's phrase. It was nice to see Punk in a segment where his mic skills didn't completely over shadow whoever he was talking to. Stone Cold facial expressions were priceless. I saw the Bionic Redneck again.

thats actullay a pretty good idea! and it works really good sense matt cross is also straightedge (like punk) and it gives andy something to do also....but ive been saying ever sense there twitter war of words THIS FUED NEEDS TO HAPPEN! punk & austin are gold on the mic and both are pretty good in the ring although i think if it was gonna happen it would be at summerslam (sense mania is pretty far away and summerslam is the next of the big 4 ppv's for wwe) it needs to happen hopefully punk signs a contract and austin agrees to it and then we get the dream fued....with cena vs rock,punk vs austin and jericho vs undertaker all for mania plus the other matches it would have a chance at being 1 of the best if not the best mania ever!

wow u ppl r so blinded by the fact tht just because they had a what 1 min albeit entertaining segment its a sign of things to come.
ppl face reality it wont happen. it was just a way to get cm punk backstage and they just wanted to do tht u want a beer segment with cm punk thinking it would be funny.
if anyone stone colds gonna have a match with its miz. personally i dont like miz. never liked him. dont think he can pull off a feud with austin. but 3 encounters with the miz is what stone cold has had. with cm punk just one backstage segment which doesnt really mean a lot.
tht being said. stop handing out imaginary oscars simply because of one good segment between two ppl the IWC (the 10%ers) have been wanting to see had a segment together
id rather at this wrestlemania wwe just scrap the cena vs rock thing too and have cena vs punk as a main event. and even more than tht id rather see the rock vs stone cold one last time. both going in as faces and coming out as them to. rocks being inducted in the hall of fame and its not really fair to see him lose the next night to cena.

This would have been a great rivalry during the attitude era. Not to say it isn't great now but back than, it would have been incredible with Austin in his prime.

They really need to make this happen. I think Austin badly wants to get back in the ring. Something about him tells me a similar story. I don't wanna read into it too much but in the end he even said "It feels so good to be back". What if that leads to him deciding to wrestle again? For one or more match(es)!

The segment between Austin and Punk was great. Both of these guy are great of the mic and know how to bash another person.
The promo was great becuase of Punk's "What" and Austin's line "I can whip your ass backward's." Most every promo involving Austin was good, and the same goes with Punk. Both of these guy's are great and I wish there was more there could've been between Punk/Austin.

That confrontation was the personification of epicness. As you can see, I`m a huge Punk mark and everything he does is golden. When you add in Stone Cold, it makes it even better.
With that being said, as much as I want to see a Wrestlemania match, or any match for that matter, it`s a long shot to happen. With Punk`s contract problems and Stone Cold`s injuries and aging, it`s gonna be a miracle if it actually happens. Though, if it is possible, Vince should get off his ass and make it happen because we and pretty much every WWE fan, wants to see it happen.

I understand why so many people want to see Stone Cold vs. CM Punk, but
I think that if The Rock is going to face John Cena with the WWE Title on the line, then Stone Cold Steve Austin should face Randy Orton with the World Title on the line. Plus, Smackdown could use a WWE Legend right now. Imagine that WrestleMania moment with Austin and the Rock celebrating at the end of WM XXVIII with both WWE World Championships. One of them could always drop the Title the following week on Raw or Smackdown or at the next PPV.

personally I want christian VS Stone Cold and why because his angry during the Attitude Era him and edge and the Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz did big Things Rebuilding the Tag Team division all big Ladders matchs and the big TLC matchs
But when any one speaks of Attitude Era they only talking about Austin and The Rock

If SCSA/Punk happened at WM28 it would make The Rock/Cena as a main event a huge letdown. You can only get and keep a crowd so hyped for so long.
Plus Vince can make more money by having them (SCSA and The Rock) compete on two different PPVs as opposed to one PPV. Regardless, I would like to see SCSA/Punk happen at some point.
I posted in another thread that one night on Raw, Nexus should take out Austin and then have Punk finish him off with a pile driver. Would WWE/Austin/Hart family be cool with this or am I just way out of line? Is this disrespectful to Owen?

Really people? A one off segment and you already think it's leading to a feud? Stone Cold, if anything, will be heading back to his ranch in Texas until Tough Enough 2 rolls around while CM Punk will simply continue to build up Mason Ryan. There won't be a feud, nor will there be a match. It was a simple one shot deal from the WWE.
Was the segment good? Yes, it was. I'll even say it was great. But it wasn't worth marking out over, especially considering the fact that Stone Cold probably won't be around for much longer.
