CM Punk Signs With UFC?

Punk having no experience in combat sports matters how? Yes, he does have experience. He's practiced several martial arts. He's no different from any upstart which what he'll likely be paired up against.

Except the wear on the body that comes from over a decade of taking bumps, age and an attitude.

No reason Punk can't fight guys the caliber of the ones that other MMA sideshow acts(like Herschel Walker or Lashley for example) have and potentially be in some competitive fights, get this chance out of his system that he's dreamed about, and make the UFC some cash in the process. And if that's all it is, good for him, and who really knows where the ceiling is from there?

There's always this quote from Rener earlier this year:

http://www.cagesideseats.com/2014/1/30/5362080/cm-punk-could-be-successful-in-mma-says-rener-gracie
"With the little time he’s had with me spread out over so many years, he’s made remarkable progress. There’s no telling how successful he would be if he devoted himself full time to the training. He can go get some fights, knock some fools out and choke some dudes. If he dedicates himself full time, there is no limit. He has the intangibles."

THough he's got some fucking cheek complaining he stopped because of medical issues then joing UFC.

Well in fairness it was only part of the reason he quit WWE. Plus, the way he told it, it seemed as if his problem was more with the lackluster, inconsistent, and downright negligent medical care he received than with the fact that he had injuries. He's played through the pain before, but even tough guys need to recoup from staph infections and concussions.
