CM Punk headed for RAW?

A.J.

SmackDown! is MY Show

CM Punk is in line for something of a major push as long as he doesn't screw things up again. Also, there's the possibility of him being switched over to RAW to feud with Johnny Nitro.

I think sending Punk over to RAW is a mistake right now as he just be lost in the RAW roster already with RAW having guys liek Orton, Edge, HBK, HHH, Carlito, Flair, etc taking up air time. I think having a fued with Nitro be good for both yet i personally feel he better be served to leave ECW for SmackDown! not RAW. As on SmackDow! he be able to go and wrestle in the cruiserweight division and put on some good mathces and then move up to the mid-card levels, but too ealry to move him to RAW.

Plus this all goes back if he doesn't screw up backstage again and gets in the doghouse again. And if he goes to RAW he can get in the doghouse again as he with his girlfriend Maria and he has already been in trouble with her for excessive making out on the tribute to the troops flight.

So what do you all think good move or bad move if it happens as it is a possibility

I think he would be better for Smackdown too, RAW already has enough talented wrestlers they don't use properly where Smackdown needs more "faces" instead of "heels". maybe backstage at RAW would be better for keeping outta trouble since Smackdown/ECW has the same backstage people but either one is better than ECW, he's kinda lost in the shows current direction.

I think they should keep CM Punk in ECW, and build him up until he beat Lashley for the ECW Title, and then they should use him as their big ECW Champion with a long title reign. If they really want to keep ECW, they'll push Punk as their Champ. That would bring in the ratings.

Well it's good to see that Punk is out of the doghouse by the looks of it. He deserves a lot more but like some others said, he could be better suited to SmackDown, but I think Raw has more guys he can feud with, like Nitro and Orton because those guys need someone to feud with and this could really give Punk's career a big boost if he was shown on Raw. I don't really like him in ECW because he is going nowhere but still, at least he isn't in the doghouse again (I hope.)

He would really add to Raw's midcards and is someone that needs to hold the IC title to restore some credibility. At least rebuild his career this way and I think it is great for the guy if he can go to the big leagues in Raw. They have a long list of guys looking for someone to feud with and that's why I think he should be there rather than anywhere else. Although a feud with Kennedy would be worth watching.

I'd rather see him move to SD!, he could give the CW division alot more ceredibility and would also be great in feuds with Kennedy, MVP, Finley, Helms, and Chavo, Raw already has to much talent and guys seem to get lost in the shuffle more over their, take Carlito for example, great talent but currently going nowhere, Shelton is another good example, a guy that could steal any show but isn't currently getting the oppertunity to shine instead he's been put back with Haas and feuding with Cryme tyme on Heat, this wouldn't be so bad if they were feuding over the tag titles, but they can't because for some reason HBK and Cena are holding them

I just wanna see him get off of ECW, that place is a graveyard. With their being only one title on that brand there is no chance of Punk ever getting it, he has to move to a roster with more titles, which will give him more options and opportunites.

Smackdown would be the better choice.

Hopefully he'll get the Intercontinental title which has a lot more prestige than the U.S. Title. My only problem is that HHH & HBK dont think he can work. And there's already the regular main eventer's on Raw. It's harder to get to the top over there and there not as experimental with champion's as Smackdown.

I think he'd benefit more with a move to Smackdown!, if he is Cruiserweight (I'm not particularly up on these things) then he can feud with Chavo, Rey, Helms, Shannon Moore, there's endless possibilities.

It would be good however to see him go for the US Title rather, as I think he has the ability.

I don't think he is the right weight for the Cruiserweight division, and if he was moved there, he would be more buried than he is now. I think he could certainly rebuild the US Title division, but I think the Intercontinental title picture is where he should be going, because that has more wrestlers that need a guy like him to feud with.

Either way, I hope he gets off of ECW very soon because he is being wasted down there. I would like to see him with a mid card title, but again, I don't think he could go for the CW title and I wouldn't really want him to. Both brands need the competition so he could be a great fit either way. Let's hope he makes a move out of ECW very quickly because there are oppurtunities being wasted with him.

I Think He Should Go To Smackdown Because Smackdown Could Use Some New Talent Or Juss Stay In Ecw To Build Him Up But Moving Him To Raw Is Bad Idea Because There Are Alreay Big Names There So They Should Build Him In Ecw And Also I Think The Big Push Is Him Winning The Money In The Bank Challenge @ Wrestlemania

I would also agree with Punk moving to Smackdown instead of Raw. The intercontinental title picture on Raw looks solid, but the US Title seems nonexistent (Benoit, MVP, Kennedy...thats about it for now). I would MUCH rather see a heel Punk take on a face Benoit rather than a face Punk take on a Heel Nitro...

I hope he doesn't leave. ECW needs him to stay afloat in my mind. They could use him well on RAW and he could be a good replacement for Triple H but I don't think it's quite enough to fill the void. He's needed much, much more on ECW but if he doesn't get the push he deserves there, he could go to RAW and fued for the IC Title.

I gotta agree with what the guy above me says, ECW needs CM Punk badly right now. As it is there aren't very many good workers in ECW (besides the originals) and CM Punk is one of the few reasons I even tune into their product. This guy isn't the future of ECW, he's the future of wrestling. Don't believe me? Watch any of his ROH matches with Samoa Joe and you'll turn around real quick.

I hope however that after he's solidified a top spot in the company that he moves onto Raw or Smackdown to get into the world title hunt. Also, the US title hunt could use him as well as someone said before, as there aren't very many guys going for that belt (not to mention the IC belt has been wasted on Umaga and will probably stay on him for endless amounts of months).

The future's lookin' bright for Mr. CM Punk.

If anything move Punk to Smackdown where he can build up fueds for the US title, not sure if he'd be considered a cruiserweight since I don't know how much he weighs. Once he becomes more of an over/serious competitor. Then move him over to RAW. Doing it now is wayyy to soon IMO, like stated before hes already buried by other talent sadly.

CM Punk would be a fine edition to either Raw or Smackdown, just get him off that sinking ship known as ECW. How can he become an established star on a program that boasts nothing more than the waste of the other 2 major programs. Besides RVD and Lashley, there is no real star power at all on ECW, and since both are faces, CM Punk can't really have matches with them, unless they turn him heel which I don't see in the conceivable future. Punk would fit on Raw as he can fit into the IC title picture. Umaga won't be holding the title for long as Trump's pick(Lashley or is it Lindsey...) will probably cost a match involving Umaga and his title. Punk would also look good in matches with Nitro, Benjamin, Carlito, Orton, Edge ect. Putting him on Raw will help establish him as a top star. However the same could be said for putting Punk on Smackdown! He does fit in the criteria for the Cruiserweight title, as he is listed as weighting 222, and if im not mistaken the weight restriction is 225-230? Although I think he would work better in a hunt for the US title, but that would mean turning him heel to feud with Benoit, or else turning Benoit heel, both of which I don't see happening currently. With the ratings of Smackdown increasing over the past month, it would only benefit Smackdown more to have more star power like a CM Punk on the show. All I can say is that Punk would be much better off on Raw or Smackdown than ECW...

ECW's probelm: It no longer contains established main-eventing stars (i.e. Kurt Angle and Big Show). They were excellent additions for ECW to help get the brand off on the right foot. Kurt Angle put over RVD, but unfortunately RVD's little mishap cost him. The Big Show on ECW not as champion would be good, but he sufferred too major an injury to continue.

CM Punk staying on ECW is not the solution to this problem. Although he is over with the fans, he is not over on paper since he has yet to hold any WWE gold. It would be best for him to establish what you might call a strong resume by feuding with top WWE talent on RAW and/or SMACKDOWN and hold a title or 2 in the process.

Cm Punk is not a raw claiber kind of wrestler, raw is wrestlers with and attitude, Cm punk is more of a smackdown wrestler he would be great on that roster

I believe that CM Punk should either be sent off to Raw possibly aligning with Maria (his IRL girlfriend) and feuding against Nitro and Melina, or feud with Carlito or even Chris Masters, who would put him over (not to show he's capable everybody knows that) but to show that he is at the same level on a show like Raw.

He could also be good sent to Smackdown to feud with the likes of Gregory Helms, Finlay (though I heavily doubt that one) or Booker.

However I believe that after being sent to the mid-card on one of these shows, he should be sent back to ECW where he should be pushed as a main-event superstar, possibly feuding with Elijah Burke on his way, since these two could probably have some good chemistry in my opinion.

CM Punk is excellent but the best he is ever going to do on ECW is beat a bunch of nobodies(Striker, Snitsky, Knox, etc.), the best he will do on SD is win the CW title and the best he will do on RAW is win the I.C. title. Out of those 3 options i would pick RAW b/c he has the best chance to get to main event status but i doubt that is ever going to happen, he will end up like Benjamin where he will beat a few main event guys and make it in big matches(MITB and EC) but will never win any of them and will never become WWE Champ. Do anybody think Vince will actually have little CM Punk beat Lashley, Batista, or Cena for any of their titles? I don't think so, only Mysterio has become a main eventer out of all the CW's in WWE history and i doubt Punk will be the next if there ever will be.

king of kingz have you ever seen the clip of shawn micheals superkicking everyone in the face. he may not be a cruiser but he isnt the biggest guy ever and he may be the greatest wrestler besides kurt angle ever. cm punk will hold world titles, let him pay his dues and he will have his time.

Punk looks to again be in the doghouse, so I don't see if the talk of him getting a major push in the likes of moving to Raw is even plausible by the looks of how he is being shoved around on ECW. A heel move to the New Breed could have really helped him out and may have given the character a boost, but I guess his future is to job to people like Snitsky on ECW now. I wish that he was on Raw though, because a ladder match between him and Jeff Hardy would be interesting, and there are plenty of the guys that Punk would have a great feud with. It just pisses the hell out of me that they are blind to the brightest talent on ECW, and canning him for stupid backstage politics. This is the guy that the fans didn't need assistance in getting behind, and if they can't see that he has potential and a lot of it, he might as well get the hell out of there because he won't be doing anything special until he makes the move to Raw. Let's hope they come to their senses and give Punk a move he deserves.

Punk seems like he is going to stay in the doghouse on ECW, but a good move for him would be to join the New Breed, because it is doing wonders for the guys in there and certainly would for him. We just don't know much about the guy anymore and most cheers are non-existent now. He has been crushed so much by the WWE that it is a shame, but I hope that they rejuvenate a little bit of his character by making a move like this, because he doesn't seem to be going anywhere right now. He might even win a few matches if he actually gets a push like joining the New Breed and it would give us an idea of how good he is at playing a heel character, but a move to another show doesn't seem likely, although with the MITB match coming up, he should be jobbing to guys like Orton and Kennedy on the other shows for a few weeks. But again, he is probably going to stay put for now.

I think that Punk is gonna be staying on ECW for now, the New Breed vs Originals storyline would be bettee with him on the New Breed and perhabs bring Foley in to be with the originals ... but if they don't give CM Punk the push he desirves then WWE/ECW is wasting one of there britest young superstars... this was a guy that didn't need a storyline to get cheers just his in ring skills were good enough but since he's been a jobber to Mr. Kennedy and Snitsky his fan base has been going down. But I see this guy as a futre main eventer, I'd love to see him win the MITB but I think it'll go to Edge or Orton to start off their feud.

I think a Nitro feud would be good for CM Punk but instead of him moving to RAW, Nitro could go to ECW.
