CM Punk Has Gotten What He Wants

Getting Noticed By Management
It's seems like CM Punk tweeted last night. The change has began. I for one like the fact that former ROH guys have both big WWE straps. I'm a huge fan of them both. It makes that WWE is giving the fans what the want. I know many people don't like DB but we have to give him a chance. He's awesome in the ring and getting better ont he mic. I thought he did a great promo on Mark Henry a few weeks back. We saw what he's done with Michael Cole. Then you have Ryder who I have to admit has a lot to learn in the ring but time can help that. He's won fans over and in todays wrestling business that's what's important and now he's the US Champ. So now we've got these 2 guys, whom are both former stars in Ring of Honor. Evan Bourne has the tag titles with Kofi. It's time a ROH like stable comes in the making. With Punk, Bryan, Bourne I seen where Seth Rollins is now on the road with them so put him in there we all know he's good. Then throw in Ryder even if he wasn't ROH. It'd also be a great way to bring Colt Cabana back to WWE with Punk. Then we have Kings of Wrestling coming soon. There's a dominant stable right there, with 4 of WWE's titles in the WWE, World, US and Tag Titles.

I know everyone will think it won't work but I think it could, can, and should. It'd be a pretty big stable of CHANGE like Punk was saying. Not sure what to name it, but it'd make things interested even if they stay a face group.

Any thoughts or bashes on this one.

It would have been cool for an ROH stable maybe at the start of the year but now, no way neither Punk or DB need it. Now that these guys are established personally i couldn't see the point.

I would like to think that a table or people like Seth, Colt and the KOR coming in and beating down either CM Punk or DB but for the forseeable future i can't see that either.

I just want to see Seth and KOR real soon. Nice thread though, will be interesting to see other responses.

I don't see a ROH stable with all of those guys together but I would like to see a ROH stable with Seth Rollins/Tyler Black and KOW but those three should be heels. Ok let's face it most WWE fans don't know who Seth Rollins is and when he debuts the ones who don't know will think he's a CM Punk rip off (long hair, scruffy beard, taped wrists to fist) and that's were the heel persona should start. Let's face it those of us in the know have seen Seth in ROH as the heel in his last matches there against Davey Richards. KOW heels by default have the align with Rollins and claim Punk forgot about them.

Now on to those not associated with ROH. Dolph Ziggler should feud with Punk right now. No I'm not saying give him the strap just test the waters because ever since he started the show off gimmick he has stepped his mic and in ring game up to another level. Give him a couple of matches with Punk doesn't have to be at a PPV just to see high quality matches and if the audience wants more.

The Miz. I hear it been there done that but WWE has big plans for Miz he could and should be the solo focal point for Punk right now. Miz can turn into the heel that everyone hates but he's good in the ring but something is lurking ready to throw a wrench in that, R Truth

Alberto Del Rio. Please put him back on Smackdown he can feud with D Bryan or Orton.

Well that's all I have for now the future is bright that's what I've always said about WWE the have the best young guys in their system they just have to use them correctly.

As much as I am in favor of bringing back QUALITY stables, I don't think that would work out too good. I think each of them have their own lane & it's really no way to mesh them all together like that.

Funny about the "Why isn't David Otunga fired?" I actually think Otunga has the perfect look & mic skills to go far in the WWE. Only problem is that he didn't come up as a professinal wrestler so he's kind of learning on the fly. If he can put those skills together & the WWE stop making him look like lunchmeat to the top of the pecking order he could be a star.

Also, I think the WWE should take the "heavyweight" out of "WWE World Heavyweight Championship". I think that name alone makes it impossible for some to view Daniel Bryan as a credible champion due to his size. Same thing happened with Mysterio. They should give the title a whole new name, but that would be hard.

I definitely marked out last night. Everyone at the bar was yelling "Kane!", expecting him to come out and attack Big Show when he won the World Title. Then we couldn't make out whose music was playing because it was pretty loud in there. I did not see that coming at all with Bryan cashing in the briefcase last night. First of all, I did not understand letting The Big Show win the WHC, so it was a huge relief to see that not last more than a few minutes. Secondly, this big surprise made up for the huge shit they took on the mat and called a match.

Other than this moment, the Orton vs. Barrett match, Ryder vs. Ziggler, Triple H vs. Nash, and the Punk/Miz/Del Rio match, the ppv was pretty bad. It had big potential with them adding on 3 matches that weren't advertised, not to mention John Cena not even being a part of the event.

You named about 80% of the PPV, so I'm confused.....

I watched the PPV & actually you can clearly hear the crowd chanting "Da-niel Br-yan!" when Henry DDTed Big Show. Maybe it's different in the actual venue though.

Yeah, he got what he wanted. I hope hes content with making wrestling the least liked sport on TV now. People rooted for these two so much and hated on guys like Cena but I doubt anyone honestly wants to see a Punk/Miz rivalry or a DB/Mark Henry rivalry. Like Booker said, wrestling is in its downtime, and the fans are mostly to blame because Vince has completely lost his mind and thinks the minority on the internet represents the majority that watches TV.

I don't know man, they were chanting Daniel Bryan pretty damn loud after Henry DDT'd Big Show (anyone else thought he was gonna go for a suplex?). The crowd went nuts when he ran in with the case. It doesn't make sense unless the majority of the crowd was the minority you're talking about.

Also I think most people that dislike Cena, dislike him cause he's been the same, damn, character, for 6+ years. It's not productive (lacking words here, sue me), long term speaking, for the wrestling industry. That's just my opinion though. But I do know that people love chaos.

I'm actually fine with the Cena character, what he stands for, the way he's used. What I have a problem with is that they act like the guy CAN'T lose the match. Cena in a fued is like watching an episode of Batman, you know whatever happens he's going to come back no matter the odds.

You are wrong. Here is why. Last night, CM PUNK chants. Loud chants. Very loud. Like whole crowd loud. Co cena. Hear any we want cena chants? NO. Btw, for years the crowd has chanted cm punk. and for years the crowd has chanted cena sucks. cena is not the man the fans want to see. Minority? Every crowd is more partial to punk then they are cena. Listen to the bass of the cm punk chants. Listen to the high pitched lets go cena. bass cena sucks. it's just as many ppl bitching, not everyone who does this gets on the internet and talks about it, btw, but....... i doubt kids will stop watching if cena loses a match or two or isnt in the main event everytime.

I'll take punk and bryan heavyweight straps anyday of cena/del rio/miz/henry/bigshow

Some people chant shit cuz they think its "cool". If a crowd has 10,000 iwc fanboys, that doesn't represent the global fanbase of the wwe. Like the guy said they don't represent the majority that watch tv and buy ppv's. The numbers will tell. WWE themselves are expecting a low buy rate for the event which was quite a good ppv for "wrestling" fanboys. Only time will tell.

Ok sorry if this seems like I am picking on you. Im not just some stuff you said is what I am going to use to jump off on my rant for. The IWC is every wrestling fan that jumps on the internet an talks about Wrestling. It could be over Facebook on the WWEs facebook page, it could be over twitter, it could be on a forum, it doesn't matter. IWC means Internet Wrestling Community. So by talking about wrestling on the internet you are a part of the community.

Secondly the IWC has as many different opinions as it does members. Think about that for a second, Look at this forum as a petri dish of the IWC. There are those that understand the business side and those that don't, there are those that like what is on TV, there are those that don't. Some like Cena, some don't, some couldn't care either way. Sure there are predominant opinions on Wrestling Websites but that comes from those that speak being the loudest voices, which is the same in any form of forum for discussion. But saying that if a crowd had 10000 "IWC" members in it does not represent the global audience of people that watch the shows and buy the PPVs. Actually it does to a greater or lesser extent it shows a rough guide to what the people in that area are like, if they get lots of Indy wrestling that goes through, if they only get the WWE shows once or twice a year. A crowd is actually a fairly good indicator of the local meta.

I used a word that I don't think people will have heard in the context I am using it, meta in the way that I have used it is about the makeup of a region and their opinions and views. There is generally a predominant opinion or view. So to put it in context, a live event whether house show, TV Taping, PPV is a sample size of the local meta. You do have to take into account that those with disposable incomes are more likely to go to the events than those without ie Children and the fairly poor. There are still likely to be a decent proportion of all types.

This means that calling a group of fans cheering for people they like (Daniel Bryan, CM Punk) or chant against someone ("Cena Sucks") it is the predominant outlook of the region not those of the Internet Wrestling Community.

Cause it's cool? If you were trying to be cool and your friends were booing your favorite...would you boo too? Or...if you just don't know where to turn in wrestling so you go with the cena sucks crowd.

No. It's pretty fucking simple to figure out. Global crowds. Does wrestlemania have the most global crowd? Yes. Go watch these wrestlamaina matches. Cena vs HHH. Cena boo'd. Cena vs HBK. Cena boo'd. Boo'd vs Orton and HHH. Boo'd pretty good vs edge and big show....edge got the loudest fan pop there. and the CLEAREST ONE. He got his ass in the YEAH when batista hit and the BOO when cena hit. batista was heel. 70,000 fans. global audience. cena gets boo'd loudly. that tells me that it's more than just 10,000 at EVERY event you see cena on tv... in ppv's, raw, when he's on smackdown. he gets his share of cena sucks EVERYWHERE. even the internet. Open your eyes and ears man. Cena sucking is kind of a big deal

I have a controversial theory... I am seriously thinking Cena might be in some trouble Wellness wise and they are managing it this way... If your top guy is about to be busted, even if its the synthetic ganja, then your two belts on the vegan and straight edge guy is a pretty good idea...

Hope I am wrong cos the damage would be huge, but everyone is assuming Cena's "rough month" was in the past...

If Cena has violated a WP then WWE will have to announce it. If they have covered up the truth then it will lose all credibility.

Having said that, your theory is rubbish and no such thing has happened. Cena was probably working on Twitter.

Nope WWE couldnt risk announcing it. Cena is still a merch seller no matter how many boos he gets. While I doubt Cena violated the WP, there is no doubt in my mind that even if Cena got high on coke pulled a Jeff Hardy on a PPV (figure of speech not literal) WWE would offer some explanation. Theyd put a huge huge huge huge ass fine on Cena and tell him to take 3 weeks off but thats about it.

Definitely, the "Cena Sucks" T-shirts couldn't indicate otherwise. However its interesting to see what they'll do with him after all they didnt use him at TLC and there's this recurring segment of Kane attacking him.
